Without a doubt, the finest Hotel we have ever stayed in. The service is phenomenal in every area from reception through to housekeeping. The Pool is unlike any you are ever likely to come across and is like a maze of canals 2.4km long and definitely lives up to its claim of being the largest pool in South East Asia. The choice of dining experiences is fantastic with a wide range of international dishes. Breakfast choices cover just about any palette you can think of. Staff in every area are always pleasant and friendly, nothing is to much trouble. The gardens are vast and have a team tending to them every day. The beachfront location is perfect with golden sand washed by the warm waters of the Andaman Sea. Hundreds of Sun Loungers are dotted around the Hotel, at the Pool, in the gardens, at the beach with both family friendly and adult only areas. Taxis are in abundance for trips into nearby Khao lak town for the night Market, bars, restaurants and even Thai boxing! There are loads of places to visit whilst here including the famous James Bond island, made renown in The Man with the Golden Gun, Elephant Sanctuary, Temples and Mangrove swamps. Without a seconds hesitation we will definitely return for many more visits!!

We had an outstanding stay at JW Marriott Khao Lak Resort & Spa. The service was exceptional. All staff members were extremely friendly, helpful and attentive, making us feel welcome at all times. The resort is very large and offers an impressive range of activities for both children and adults. The kids paradise and children’s facilities are excellent and kept our child happily entertained. The course and activity program is extensive, and many offers are included free of charge. The complimentary shuttle service to the town center and the large local market is very convenient. The gym deserves special mention. It is one of the largest and highest quality hotel gyms we have ever used. Around the hotel there are massage places, laundry services and small supermarkets within walking distance. However, shopping in town is generally more affordable. The only minor downside is the large number of guests and the noise level during breakfast, especially at peak times. Overall, an excellent resort with outstanding service, great facilities and fantastic value for families and active travelers. Highly recommended.

It was my first time at JW Marriott Khao Lak and they did not disappoint. It is situated a little farther from town and the airport, but it is a hidden gem. As soon as I arrived, I had a warm welcome and they escorted me to the front desk. I was offered a refreshing beverage and cool dessert, a great start to my stay! I was also fortunate to meet Ms. Natasha Low, the Hotel Manager, whose gracious hospitality immediately put me at ease and excited for the to experience the overall vibe of this resort. Having previously stayed at the JW in Phuket, Khao Lak has its own distinct charm—yet the exceptional standard of service remains consistent and impressive.

The At Your Service Team responded to my queries with speed and care, demonstrating a high level of attentiveness that exceeded my expectations. During my stay, I ordered overnight room service and was pleasantly surprised when the staff set up my dining table instead of simply leaving the tray. They even placed a small plant beside the setup—a simple yet thoughtful touch that made the experience feel special.

The Sakura Restaurant is also a must try as you won’t be disappointed with the food and service! 

The resort grounds are well maintained, and the wide selection of activities ensures there is truly something for everyone.

Stayed 6 nights at JW Marriott to celebrate New Years and it beat all our expectations. From the warm welcome as we arrived at the hotel, to Dhevi (think that was her name) taking care of us at the front desk to check us in. As we had arrived at 12pm and check in was not until 3pm, we were allowed to use the facilities and got an email when the room was ready. We had booked a swim up room, which was adequate size for 2 adults and a child. Cleaned every day to a good standard, with water and coffee capsules replenished daily and towels twice a day. The breakfast was to die for and best spread we have ever had! From egg stations to Thai and Indian food, to fresh crepes and pancakes being made. All the exotic food you could ask for! Bug shout out to Krishna who would make me fresh puri and dosa every day. Always greeted me with a smile and willing to have a chat. The sun bed policy is great, with the guys making a note of when beds are taken up have an hour to come back, before towels are taken from them. This made sure there were always beds available. With the beach in front of you, on the left, there are a few local Thai restaurants (Friendship was our best) and massage places (second one with ladies in red Tshirts). We would go there every afternoon as much cheaper to eat and drink then the hotel. Finally, New Years Eve was out of this world! We didn’t go for the Gala Meal but were allowed to see the fire show and fireworks! Great way to celebrate NYE. Cannot wait to come back again!

We booked our vacation through a travel agent and experienced several issues during our stay. While dealing with the agent was disappointing, the hotel staff were truly outstanding. They took full responsibility, were kind, patient, and attentive, and went above and beyond to help us receive the compensation we were entitled to, even after we had already checked out. The hotel representative, Olly, continued to follow up with us until the matter was fully resolved. It is worth mentioning that we were somewhat disappointed with the condition of the rooms, but we were informed that the hotel is currently undergoing renovations. Aside from the rooms, the hotel facilities are excellent, including the swimming pool, children’s water attractions, and a rich and varied dining experience. The level of service and genuine care shown by the entire hotel team truly made a difference to our vacation.
