Domingo familia , Marileni Santana and Darlin We had a wonderful experience at Lopez. Even though we ran into a few billing issues with the bar tab, the staff handled everything with professionalism, patience, and genuine care. Everyone was attentive throughout our visit, making sure we were taken care of and that any concerns were resolved quickly. The bartenders were friendly, welcoming, and provided excellent service despite the billing confusion. Every member of the team made us feel valued, and their positive attitude really stood out. Great customer service can make all the difference, and the staff at Lopez definitely delivered. We look forward to coming back!

Authentic review (without staff hovering for a 5-star rating) We spent 6 days at Lopesan Costa Bavaro as a family of four (with 2 teenagers). Overall, we felt the stay fell short of a true luxury 5-star experience for the price paid. The Good: Resort & Grounds: The property is beautiful, well-maintained, and the main areas are kept spotless. The infinity pool makes a fantastic first impression. Buffet & Select Staff: Food at the main buffet was diverse and consistently good. Special shoutouts to Luis, Gabriella Jimenez, and Alvin at the Atlántico buffet—they were extremely welcoming, attentive, and made our stay truly enjoyable. Dining Highlights: The Mexican restaurant offered great food and wonderful service. Amenities: Our teens enjoyed the water park and pool activities, and a room maintenance issue we reported was efficiently resolved the same day. The Bad: Food Safety: Avoid raw fish at the Japanese restaurant. The salmon poke was noticeably unfresh, and it resulted in food poisoning the next day. Inconsistent Service: Staff service was a hit-or-miss. We experienced rude service at The Valley restaurant and at Bávaro Coffee—where wait times consistently averaged 20–30 minutes, despite the great coffee (shoutout to Anabel for particularly poor service). Beach & Pool Standards: Due to high seasonal seaweed (though staff do try their best to clear it), the infinity pool was the main attraction. However, guest standards were disappointing for a luxury resort—people entered the pool fully clothed or wearing street shoes, and restaurant dress codes were rarely enforced. Conclusion: While certain staff members and amenities were lovely, the mixed service, food quality issue, and lack of enforced resort standards made us feel we overpaid for the experience

Jessica offered me the chance to review. The resort is beautiful, the staff is friendly and cleaning service is great. Not sure if the Unique package was worth it. I did not see many distinctions other than separate lobby, premium drinks, butler service (who helped with restaurant reservations) and separate small buffet by the beach. The rooms, beach chairs, access and transportation between the resorts seemed to be the same for everyone. There are not many adults only sections except in the main buffet and night club. There are too many vendors at the beach area which can be annoying. Food was good for an all inclusive resort. We had dinner at several restaurants in their other resort close by (Caoba Lagoon) and those were great.

Jose Soso was an amazing server and he was very friendly and polite to our group. The greeters were happy and kind. They were able to accommodate our bigger group and were often able to sit our group into a kids table and an adult table. He often checked on our table asking if he needed anything else! I recently stayed at the Lopesan Costa Bávaro Resort and had a fantastic experience. The location is absolutely excellent, and the customer service across the property is top-notch. The premium food and beverage options really elevated the stay, with everything tasting fresh and high-quality. A very special thanks goes out to Bizcocho and Jades, our incredible servers at the Atlantic Buffet, who went above and beyond to make our dining experiences memorable. The rooms themselves are very nice, modern, and comfortable. My only critique is regarding the bathroom housekeeping; upon arrival, there was some visible dirt that was easily cleaned, but it shouldn't have been missed by staff. Aside from that minor detail, it was a wonderful vacation, and I would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a premium getaway.
