Occidental Cozumel

First time here at occidental cozumel and won’t be the last. The resort is gorgeous and well maintained. The beach is not the longest but beautiful with crystal clear turquoise water.the staff is very polite and welcoming.We just had dinner at Mexico Lindo and everything was amazing: special thank you to david, samos, miguel and Luis that made it a night to remember. As for the buffet , the breakfast is great , at night we never went hungry and was able to find good food throughout the week. The beach buffet for lunch is great and the vue is very nice. It’s the perfect getaway vacation for relaxation and lush tropical feel. Can’t wait to be back

Had a romantic dinner at Coral this evening and it was spectacular. Capitán Aurelio accompanied by Ismael ,Jhony, and Betty are amazing. Very attentive throughout the evening . The service was stellar. Must not forgot the chef who put careful thought into the special menu tonight. Also had a great experience when we went for our couples massage. Lizeth and Yaderi have great hands. Good pressure throughout the entire massage . Would go back and see them

Alejandra at the front desk was very nice, explained all the benefits and then escorted us to our room. The beach pool was fantastic and the service exceptional. The careta restaurant was so convenient and had outstanding service and delicious food options. Karla ku and shany Aguilar went out of their way to make everything special. Especially Karla!! Eduardo and melchoir also offered exceptional service and made our stay a memorable one. Overall our vacation was fantastic. Thank you!

At check-in there were problems but staff was courteous. The highlight was our dining experience at La Carreta. The staff and food were excellent!! Captain de Meseros. David & Shanty kept all top notch. Staff Ingrid, Lupe, Claudia, Armando, Carlos made our experience memorable as they never missed a detail along with Sandra and Jimmy. A surprise ending was a show with an exciting presentation to a perfect ending dessert!!

We stayed at this hotel for one week and overall had a great experience. The best part of this resort is definitely its location in the jungle. There is so much wildlife all around coatis, iguanas, and many other animals which makes the experience very unique and memorable. The rooms were always clean, and the housekeeping staff did an excellent job. Towels and bed linens were changed every day. The buffet food, however, was quite repetitive. It reminded us of the buffet quality at Cuban resorts, so we expected a bit more variety. One thing that also felt strange was the treatment of the coatis. There are signs everywhere telling guests not to feed them, but the animals looked very hungry and were constantly approaching people looking for food. At the neighboring Iberostar Cozumel, there are feeding stations for them, which seemed like a much better approach. Another inconsistency was the hotel’s smoke-free policy. People were openly smoking cigarettes around the pool, and no one seemed to mind, even though the even though the smell was noticeable. The rules should be enforced consistently for everyone. Overall, we enjoyed our stay thanks to the beautiful natural surroundings and the cleanliness of the resort, but there are definitely a few areas that could be improved.
