The hotel is very nice, excellent location, very good breakfast and friendly staff. But there’s a couple of limits you should be aware of, if you’re travelling with a toddler. The hotel offers kids activities, but only for kids aged 5+, which wasn’t too clear on the website. Other resorts let toddlers join their miniclubs with one parent, whereas here if you have a 3 year old there are just no activities. If you opt for a premium suite, you would have access to the rooftop pool, which is nice and not so crowded, but it’s adults-only. With a toddler, you’ll have to go for the other pools, but there the number of sunbeds is way undersized compared to the hotel guests. The hotel tries to manage that with fair and reasonable rules (if you occupy a sunbed, you can’t walkaway for more than 15 minutes before 10.45, or for more than 60 minutes after that). If you’re running around with a toddler though, that means you often won’t find a sunbed, and if you do you’ll have a hard time to keep it. At 400€ per night for the premium suite I would have expected a simpler experience. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for couples without kids. If you have toddlers, be ready for some extra effort to access the pools and manage your day, and avoid the premium suites, as the extra price will be quite wasted. Also, when I booked it, the hotel was still appearing as “affiliated by Melia”, and today it’s still reported as such in some outdated websites. But it’s not anymore part of Melia, so you will not get Melia Gold points or benefits here.

First of all, the hotel’s location is excellent, and the sunrise from our balcony was beautiful. However, the hotel is clearly in need of renovation. Luckily, our room was not exposed to the afternoon sun, as the air conditioning did not cool the room at all. There was also no ventilation in the bathroom, and the shower floor felt flexible and unstable. The hotel is very large, and the restaurant was constantly crowded and chaotic. Unfortunately, some members of staff were not particularly friendly or welcoming. Another concern was safety around the pool. Although there are signs clearly stating that glass containers are not allowed in the pool area, many guests were still drinking beer, juice, and other beverages from glasses near the pool. The hotel should enforce this rule more strictly to prevent accidents.

Just back from a 4 night break and would highly recommend this hotel. The rooms are immaculate. The food is very good. The staff are amazing. We had a premium room and it was worth every penny. I can’t praise Joaquin on the reception enough he went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience

We stayed with my family last year and it was great! Lovely location, nice service, but unfortunately there is not enough parking spots. Unfortunately my car got fined by the police because I had to leave it in the Taxi parking spot, so please be aware if you come by car.e myself I booked a tour to go to see the Caminito del Rey, I had to leave very early before the breakfast even started. But hotel said that it is fine for me to go and have breakfast before the opening, this was very nice.

Myself and my girlfriend stayed at the hotel for five nights and were very impressed. The hotel is well located, just off the beach and beautiful 7km promenade. The rooms were nice and clean and the staff were lovely throughout. We chose the hotel partly due to previous reviews regarding choice of gluten free meals and were not disappointed. We are both coeliac and the hotel is very accommodating regarding gluten free diet. We had no issues finding something to eat at breakfast and dinner; there was even a gluten free section, kept completely away from the regular bread station, containing gluten free breads, pastries, cakes (most of which were individually packaged) and cereals as well as a separate toaster. We were made to feel very safe by how seriously the staff took prevention of cross contamination. There was also a very large selection of regular bread and cakes, although we cannot comment on the taste! Chef Capitán was very friendly and came out each day to show us which of the evening buffet meals were gluten free and offered other freshly prepared options if we liked. There was another chef at breakfast (apologies - we didn't catch his name) who was also very knowledgable about cross contamination and made sure to clean the pan before making us fresh omelettes. Just make sure to mention if you have any allergies when providing room number at entry to the restaurant. The staff made our stay a delight. From the receptionist that welcomed us, to the accommodation staff, the chefs and waiting staff (especially Mònica who waited on us most nights - she was always smiling, helping us with our drinks selection, and even helped to fix our table one evening after discovering it was wobbly), everyone was very friendly and helpful. The pool staff tried to encourage guests to take part in activities but had no problem if you did not want to participate. They even came up with some simple games on the days when the weather was not so great for swimming. Overall we found our stay very relaxing and look forward to staying there again.
