We had a really enjoyable stay at Orchidacea Resort in Kata. From the moment we arrived, the staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. We were pleasantly surprised to receive an upgrade to a Premier room on arrival, which was a great start to our stay. The resort was clean and well maintained, and our room was comfortable throughout our stay. We also really enjoyed the buffet breakfast, which had a good selection each morning. The facilities were another plus, particularly having access to a gym during our stay. The location is convenient for exploring Kata and the surrounding area. One thing worth knowing before booking is that the entrance to the resort is up a short but fairly steep hill. It wasn't a major issue for us, but it could be something to consider for anyone with mobility difficulties or who doesn't enjoy walking uphill. Overall, we had a very positive experience and would happily recommend Orchidacea Resort to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay in Kata.

We stayed in a Deluxe Sea View Room at Orchidacea Resort and had a really enjoyable stay. The room was very clean and well maintained, and it looked exactly like the photos online. The air conditioning worked perfectly, and the views from the room were absolutely amazing. The staff were lovely throughout our stay — always friendly, helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was also great, with plenty of options and a really nice start to the day. The only downside was the uphill walk and the amount of stairs needed to get back to the hotel and our room each time. It could definitely be tiring, especially after a long day out, but I guess it helped keep us fit! Overall, we had a great experience and would happily recommend Orchidacea Resort for anyone staying around Kata Beach, especially if you want beautiful views, friendly service and a clean, comfortable room.

Overall, a good value-for-money stay with a very clean room and honest, helpful staff. Just to clarify, this is not a beachfront resort. The beach is about a 5 to 10 minute walk away, and the walk back is uphill. The property feels more like a hotel than a resort. The location is convenient, with restaurants and shops within walking distance, and Big Buddha is around a 20 to 25 minute drive away. A special mention to the staff for their honesty. I accidentally left my jewellery box in the safe, and they confirmed they had found it, including a small gold item inside. I really appreciated their honesty and professionalism.

The hotel staff are amazing, breakfast is very good with a huge selection to choose from, the pool area is great and food and drinks good but slow. Rooms are small but with balconies that have fantastic views of the mountains and the beach. There is no lifts although the staff carry your bags to your room.

Stayed here 4 nights in October. Hotel located on little hill, not too big, seem it could be important only for elderly people's. Anyway some solution hotel provided, ask for transportation for this case. Just 5 minutes to beach. Friendly stuff. Nice view from my room on Kata beach. Good and new interior. Seems only missing bed lamp, little private light for reading. Big balcony. Breakfast. Good pool. Live music on dinner. I satisfied. Only one CONS. The hotel looks smokers tolerant. Ashtrays on balcony. Smoking everywhere - balcony, near pool etc. It was mostly impossible to open balcony door or stay on balcony with no filling smell comming from different directions. May be I was unlucky with neighbor. One morning in less than hour he visiting balcony 3 times, each time with cigarettes. Seems hotel can make some building smoking free, that will be really nice.
