We've stayed at several other Secret's resorts and this is by the best one yet! They literally have thought of everything. The staff...top notch, amazing people. Almost everyone we came into contact with greeted us in some way, shape or form. Asked us how we were, if we needed anything and were genuine when asking. It was such a breath of fresh air to be treated to excellent customer service. We loved it here so much that we are considering bringing our adult children here for family vacation!

We had the most incredible stay at Secrets Akumal — truly the perfect mix of fun and relaxation. From the moment we arrived, everything felt effortless, beautiful, and thoughtfully done. The resort itself is stunning, the atmosphere is peaceful yet lively, and we never once felt like anything was lacking. The food was amazing — every meal exceeded our expectations, from beautifully prepared dishes to the variety of restaurants and flavors. Portofino and Bordeaux were our favorite spots — absolutely delicious and a must-try! Whether it was breakfast, lunch by the pool, or dinner at the restaurants, everything was consistently high quality. The entertainment staff made both the days and nights so much fun. From daytime activities by the pool to the incredible evening shows, they brought such great energy and kept things lively without ever being over the top. The shows were absolutely amazing — engaging, impressive, and something we looked forward to every night. We especially want to thank the swim-up bartenders Eduardo and Ivan — they were both fantastic! Always friendly, fun, and incredibly attentive. Eduardo in particular made every day at the pool even better with his great personality and attention to detail — he truly made our experience feel extra special. Ivan was equally wonderful, and together they made the pool bar one of our favorite spots at the resort. A huge thank you as well to Osuna, the pool concierge, who was incredibly helpful and attentive — always checking in, making sure we were comfortable, and going above and beyond. And to the amazing pool staff Luis and Cruz — hands down the best service we’ve ever had. Constant smiles, quick service, and genuine care that made us feel so well taken care of. Our concierge Gina was wonderful and made everything so easy for us throughout the trip. And the spa experience was unreal — the best massages we’ve ever had. My massage with Ana was absolutely perfect, and my boyfriend loved his just as much (might be Brianna, he can’t remember, but she was incredible!). Every single staff member we encountered was kind, professional, and truly made us feel special. We were genuinely sad to leave, which says everything — but we will absolutely be back. We just got back from our trip to Secrets Akumal in Riviera Maya, Mexico and it was an amazing trip from start to finish. The resort is beautiful, the rooms were very nice, and the service was absolutely top notch. Everyone went out of their way to make sure we had a great experience. The food was exceptional, easily some of the best we’ve had at an all-inclusive resort. Every meal was great and consistently impressive. I highly recommend the steakhouse! The only small downside is that the landscaping and layout can make it a little difficult at times to figure out where you are or where you’re going, but after a day you get used to it. Overall, this was an incredible experience and we would highly recommend this Secrets resort to anyone looking for an amazing stay in Mexico.

We had an amazing time at Secrets Akumal Riviera Maya. From start to finish, everything felt special and relaxing. The food was excellent, the drinks were wonderful, and the service throughout the resort was truly top-notch. Every staff member we interacted with was kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Beach service on the preferred side was occasionally a bit slow and seemed slightly understaffed; however, the team working there clearly did the best they could and remained friendly and professional. I think adding one or two additional staff members to beach service would make an already great experience even better. A huge highlight of our stay was our building concierge, Karen in Building 6. She was absolutely incredible — helpful, attentive, and genuinely caring. Since this was our honeymoon, she surprised us by decorating our room with flowers, which was such a thoughtful and touching gesture. She truly made our stay unforgettable. The spa was also incredibly relaxing. We did a couples massage, and it was one of the most peaceful and enjoyable spa experiences we’ve had. Highly recommend! Overall, we loved our time here so much that we’ve already booked our return trip. Secrets Akumal is a beautiful, special place, and we can’t wait to come back.
