⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had an amazing stay at Secrets Cap Cana for our honeymoon and couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful and memorable experience. The resort itself is absolutely gorgeous. Everything is beautifully maintained, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the overall atmosphere is perfect for a romantic getaway. The service throughout our stay was truly one of the highlights. A special shoutout to our concierge, Johan, who was always available whenever we needed anything. He was incredibly helpful, attentive, and made sure we were taken care of throughout our stay. Having someone so reliable and friendly made our experience even better. Our favourite restaurant was Seaside Grill. We loved the food, the atmosphere, and the service there and found ourselves wanting to go back again! I also want to give a huge shoutout to all of the waiters and restaurant staff. Everyone was so friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful. A special mention to Ianzio at the Japanese restaurant, who provided such wonderful service and made our dining experience even more enjoyable. There were so many staff members who went above and beyond, and unfortunately I can’t name everyone, but they all deserve recognition. The animation team also deserves a huge shoutout. They were full of energy, enthusiastic, and constantly bringing such a fun atmosphere to the resort. You could tell they genuinely enjoyed what they were doing, and their energy was contagious! The only downside during our stay was the amount of seaweed in the ocean. Unfortunately, this is something that can happen in the Caribbean depending on the season and conditions, and it did affect how much we were able to enjoy swimming in the ocean. The resort did a great job keeping the beach maintained, though, and the pools were beautiful. Overall, Secrets Cap Cana was a wonderful choice for our honeymoon. Between the beautiful property, delicious food, amazing staff, entertainment, and incredible service, we had a very special stay. We are so grateful to everyone who helped make our honeymoon memorable and would absolutely consider returning for our anniversary. We had a wonderful stay at Secrets Cap Cana in many ways, but unfortunately, the culinary experience overall did not live up to 5-star expectations. The Pros: Atmosphere & Grounds: The resort is absolutely stunning, charming, and peaceful. The architecture is gorgeous, the main pool is huge and inviting, and the beach is calm and relaxing. Service: The staff across the board—from the beach and pool attendants to the concierge—were exceptionally warm, cordial, and friendly. Drinks & Casual Dining: The drinks were great, and the standout spot for us was the casual restaurant located right by the pool, which was delicious and enjoyable. The Cons: Overall Food Quality: The food simply lacked the quality and refinement expected at a 5-star property. Italian Restaurant: We were disappointed with the service and dining experience here. Japanese Teppanyaki: This was far too loud and intense. The chefs acted more like over-the-top clowns/entertainers, constantly trying to provoke screaming and commotion from the crowd. We were hoping for a relaxing, peaceful meal rather than a noisy spectacle. While the ambiance, pools, beach, and general service are top-notch, the food and dining concepts definitely need improvement.

Extremely Disappointing Experience — 11-Year UVC Emerald Members This is day 3 of our 5-day stay at Secrets Cap Cana, and unfortunately, this has become one of the most stressful and disappointing vacations we have ever taken. We are Emerald members of Unlimited Vacation Club and have been members for 11 years. Our membership was paid in full when we purchased it. We expected a much higher level of service and professionalism from a property associated with our membership. For two consecutive days, our Junior Swim-Up Suite had no hot water. After dealing with this ongoing issue, our butler finally informed us that the resort had decided to move us to an upgraded suite because of the inconvenience. Shortly after our butler left our room, the television fell off the wall. It hit the desk and then landed face-down on the floor. We immediately contacted our butler. He returned, took pictures, and left. Approximately an hour later, he returned with maintenance employees and a manager named Rosanna. Instead of showing concern about a television suddenly falling from the wall in an occupied guest room, Rosanna accused us of throwing something at the TV and told us we owed $1,000 for an older Samsung television. When I asked, “What if we don't have it?” she responded with a smirk, “You have to pay.” The fact that a large television detached from the wall in our room should have been treated as a serious safety issue. Someone could have been standing in front of it when it fell. Instead, we were treated as though we had intentionally damaged resort property. What made this even more concerning was what I discovered afterward. After reading other reviews, I found a review from Mr. Glen DiTamasso, who described an extremely similar television incident at this property. He was also a member and reported being charged the exact same $1,000 amount. That similarity is deeply troubling and raises serious questions for me about how these incidents are handled. We paid for a luxury vacation. Instead, we have dealt with two days without hot water, being moved from our room, a television falling from the wall, accusations that we damaged it, and a demand for $1,000. After 11 years as UVC members, I never expected to be treated this way. This has been an expensive, stressful, and completely unacceptable experience. Based on what has occurred during this stay, Secrets Cap Cana is a property I WILL NOT revisit. The Stars I gave was for the polite and hardworking individuals that were kind. Otherwise, ZERO STARS. UPDATE: As a business woman, I'd like to provide an update on the matter. The manager returned, apologized for any issues, stated " we understand accidents happen", & decided to not charge us for the TV.

Our honeymoon stay at this resort was absolutely unforgettable from start to finish. The property was beautiful, peaceful, and perfectly maintained, but what truly made the experience special was the incredible staff and level of hospitality we received throughout our stay. Everyone went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and celebrated during such an important trip in our lives. Special shout out to Alexander, our wonderful attendant who made sure we were always taken care of. Also shoutout to Michael Jackson for helping us get chairs / towels at the pools, as the spots get taken quickly. Mini Mi - you made all the events and activities that much more fun! I loved your energy and seeing you around the resort. Alexander at the Sugar reef bar, always made sure we had a cold drink. Water or a cocktail! Narquel, you always greeted us with such a warm smile when it was time for us to get seated at the delicious buffet! Ana, thank you for keeping our room constantly picked up and spotless! There was not a single piece of sand in our room the entire week. We loved the atmosphere of the resort — relaxing, romantic, and the perfect mix of fun and tranquility. The food and drinks were excellent, and there was always something to do whether we wanted to explore, relax by the pool, or enjoy the beach. This was truly the perfect place to celebrate our honeymoon, and we made memories that we’ll cherish forever. We’re already talking about coming back for an anniversary trip someday. Highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for an amazing vacation experience!

Resort is as you would expect very good. Things that let it down, nothing major but need mentioning. Rooms were very clean and well maintained, our room was stocked, cleaned and had a turn down service. Concierge Garardo was superb, really went over the top to make everything that bit extra special. Staff on the whole were excellent, one however was completely miserable ( girl with tattoo behind right ear) in the lobby serving drinks. On the whole over the top pleasant. The restaurants all asked regarding food allergies some ie the French asked a total of 4 times by 4 separate staff and still served food items that were discussed in regards to allergies, thankfully spotted and not consumed (training or lip service?) Beach was ok but sadly seaweed season so pretty much in a shocking state but the people trying to keep it clean did an AMAZING job. Pools completely awesome, but policy on reserving beds is just not followed, tip your server and he will make sure you get the bed you want daily ( not vary fair) so policy needs reviewing. We had a swim out suite, very nice but on the whole not worth the extra for the time used. That's was example of how good the main pools were. Sky bar was great, if sometimes under staffed causing long waits at the bar. Room service was superb. Entertainment was very good both in theatre and the lobby with occasional very good live options in the sky bar. Was it worth £8k for 14 nights ???? No but was enjoyable and would return to a secreats but not cap cana In August.
