Phenomenal Birthday Trip — Preferred Club and Swim-Out Room Were Worth It! We had an absolutely phenomenal stay at Secrets Royal Beach Punta Cana in a Preferred Club swim-out room, and it was the perfect place to celebrate my birthday. From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding, and so many staff members went above and beyond to make our trip special. Our butler, Eramy, was truly phenomenal. He made our room perfect for my birthday with a cake and champagne, and he was always available whenever we needed help. We had a few small issues with restocking our fridge and getting snacks, and Eramy took care of everything quickly. He was also a huge help with dinner reservations, especially when we met new friends at the resort and needed to modify our plans. He made everything feel easy and stress-free. The poolside service was some of the best we have ever experienced at any resort. Daniela, Sebastian, and Obeisbo were incredible. We usually drank the same drinks each day, and they remembered what we liked. Many times, they were already bringing us another drink before we even needed to ask. They also took the time to make our drinks even better, including using fresh lime juice, which made a big difference. In the Preferred Lounge, Winter was by far one of the best bartenders we have ever had. He was extremely attentive, his English was excellent, and he even made us drinks we had never tried before — and we loved them. At the buffet and El Patio, we got to know Modesto, and he and his team were amazing. They were always super attentive and made us feel very welcomed. Modesto even had our breakfast table decorated with flowers every morning, found hotter hot sauce for us at El Patio, and surprised me with a birthday cake at breakfast while the staff sang happy birthday. That was such a special memory. At Himitsu, we had Julio for dinner, and he also provided excellent service. He brought me another birthday cake, and the staff sang happy birthday there as well. It really made the celebration feel unforgettable. Another huge highlight was how Secrets Royal Beach celebrated the 4th of July. They decorated the resort far beyond anything we could have imagined. The entire day was filled with U.S. patriotic events, including a flag-raising ceremony, a BBQ on the beach, patriotic music, and even a Harley-Davidson display with a ride-in. Secrets deserves a lot of credit for going above and beyond to make American guests feel celebrated and appreciated on the 4th of July. It made the day feel truly special. Overall, Secrets Royal Beach Punta Cana exceeded our expectations. The resort was beautiful, the Preferred Club upgrade was definitely worth it, and the staff made us feel genuinely cared for the entire trip. We hope to return again in the future and would absolutely recommend upgrading to the Preferred Club, especially if you are celebrating a special occasion.

I usually do not write reviews. However, my experience at Secrets Punta Cana was so exquisite, I wanted to tell others. I was worried because this was our first time in Dominican Republic and many people have told me that they didn’t enjoy their resort. In my opinion, the food was excellent with a wide variety of options. The atmosphere on the resort is great with a variety of shows and events throughout the day. But by far, the best part is the service. Everyone is so welcoming from check-in until the time you depart. My wife and I wanted a relaxing trip, so we didn’t leave the resort for excursions. We simply relaxed at the pool, enjoyed all the meals they offered, and then went to the shows. We made it a point to sit in the same section every night at the Showtime Bar to see the waitress Maria. She took care of our every need and was willing to make little tweaks to my picky drink order. My wife and I are learning Spanish and she was very patient with us as we practiced, taught us new words/phrases, and taught us about the culture which is very important to us. I cannot express enough how much she enhanced our trip experience.

We had an amazing stay at Secrets Royal Beach Punta Cana! From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional and truly made our vacation unforgettable. Our butler Alfredo went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect throughout our stay. His hospitality made us feel so welcomed and taken care of. We also spent a lot of time at the Preferred Club swim-up bar, Drifter Pool Bar, where Sebastian and Obispo were absolutely incredible!! The resort itself was beautiful, the food was great, and the atmosphere was relaxing and enjoyable. We couldn't have asked for a better first trip to Punta Cana and are already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommend Secrets Royal Beach!

Great accommodations, beverage and restaurant service but the butler service was lacking. We didn't ask for much but we didn't get the few things we asked for. It was unacceptable to have to make the long walk to the lobby at 10p to get bottled water because it was never delivered after asking 4 times! Also, the resort tried to charge me, again, for the spa package I purchased thru the resort online before we arrived. Thankfully I had my receipts. Now, it was a great treatment, but not for double the price. For what we paid for preferred, I should not have had any inconvenience or hassle. If we go back we won't do preferred and we're thinking we may try a different resort next time. Yes, I would recommend the resort but unless you just want the upgraded room, I wouldn't suggest getting the preferred package. Now, not all was bad... the room and view were fantastic, we loved the beach access, the food was plentiful, enough entertainment, and generally great hospitality. If you go to Show Time or see a show, ask for Maria. She was absolutely delightful and provided great service. Plus there were some appreciated extras the staff provided for our anniversary celebration and to generally make our stay comfortable. There is quite a bit of seaweed on the beach in this area, and the staff did a reasonable job cleaning the beach, which was appreciated so we could feel better to enjoy the water (they have lots of wonderful pools but I'm a beach person). So overall, again, I'd recommend this resort.

This will be long winded but I can not express how much we loved staying here! From the minute we walked in we were treated with such hospitality everyone from the front desk ,the spa, bar , restaurants, cafe, the entertainment staff even to the room service was so kind helpful and welcoming. We came here on our honeymoon so there’s alot of pressure to make the trip worth it . We stayed in a room with a private pool everything was so clean and comfortable they brought us gifts and treated us so nicely! The shows I would highly recommend the staff goes out of their way to make sure you’re having a good time ! after our experience we decided we will be coming back! I can’t say enough good things about every single person who works so hard at secrets . I don’t know that they read these reviews but in any event thank you once again for making our honeymoon such a special trip ! 💕
