I recently had the pleasure of staying at Shangri-la Dubai, and I must say, it was a refreshing reminder of what true hospitality should feel like. As a former hotel manager, I’ve experienced my fair share of establishments, and I had almost lost hope for the old standards of service where staff genuinely embody the culture of hospitality. From the moment we arrived, the experience was exceptional. The valet service was prompt and welcoming, setting the tone for what was to come. Check-in was smooth and efficient, with the staff displaying a warmth that made us feel very welcomed and appreciated. The breakfast offerings were top-notch, showcasing not only quality but also creativity. A special thanks to the attentive and knowledgeable chef and waiter team who went above and beyond to ensure my sister in law, who has celiac disease, dining experience was safe and she had few choices to eat. She was just blown away. One of the highlights of our stay was the personalized handwritten welcome card and gift sent by Rima. It was a thoughtful touch that made us feel special as a guest and truly reflected the hotel’s commitment to providing a memorable experience. Overall, our stay was nothing short of fantastic. It’s rare to find a place that excels in all aspects of hospitality these days, but this hotel has certainly rekindled my faith. We had a fantastic stay at Shangri-La Dubai. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide selection that rotated daily, a great juice bar, and an egg station. The noodle station was a bit underwhelming for us—Singapore standards! Our room was spacious even with a rollaway bed, and housekeeping was very attentive. Horizon at Level 42 is great for a drink and a view of the Burj Khalifa. All hotel staff were excellent, especially Khodarahm, who went above and beyond. The location is very convenient, just a 6-minute walk to the metro red line. Highly recommend!

As of writing this review, this was my second time coming to this hotel with my Mom for our Dubai vacation. Overall great hotel and service. The view of the Burj Khalifa is great, especially when you are in the pool area. The shot is absolutely incredible. I will say in our second time here, there clearly has been some changes. Our first time we had an amazing experience in the cafe area where they serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The people working there before were incredible. I especially want to give a shout out to Nazifa who is no longer there and wasn't there when we went the second time. She was incredible and sweet to us in serving us. That experience alone made our first experience at the hotel that much better. Many of the new waiters weren't really that attentive. Never would really acknowledge us and would take a long time to get anything for us at the table. But overall its a great hotel to stay at if you really want to hit the hot tourist zones in downtown Dubai.

We are always going to use the pool and we are always happy about this place !! Nice place nice food (especially pizza ) today they didn’t allow us to use it because they said it is only for the guests this days which disappointed us but Ok! But even though the guy who works downstairs who welcomes people he is always makes us smile ! Khodarahm is his name and I want to mention that he is always funny nice polite and gives an amazing vibe !! He makes such a difference from all the stuff! Hospitality needs more people like him

Everywhere I go, I try to find something wrong, something the hotel may have missed in their quest for 5-star status. When you establish yourself as a 5-star hotel, it is all about the little details. Details that may seem trivial to some, are important to me. Things like the A/C working and on when I get to the room. The view as promised. The requests that were asked for ahead of time, were granted with such care. My wife loved the Bronze package that your staff prepared for our anniversary. The shower has enough water pressure. The ability to change denominations of local currency at the front desk. There were so many things that I could not remember them all. The attention to detail is what I look for the most, and I am not impressed much, but I was impressed with your establishment and I recognize it as a true 5-star hotel. I am not that good with names , but the entire staff was kind and thoughtful at every moment, and I want to give a special shout to Omo, the gentleman at the omelette station , who after the first day, already new what my order would be and made it with a smile. He made me and my wife those omelettes with the skill of a Michelin star chef and with so much kindness. As mentioned in the begining , while I tried , I could not find anything wrong with your hotel, staff or services, which is why I consider it a true 5-star establishment, and having the opportunity, I would stay there again. Thank you for the memories.
