We’ve just returned from a fantastic 9-night family holiday at Sol Príncipe and honestly didn’t want to leave. We travelled with our 3-year-old son, Jesse, and this hotel was perfect for families. The pool area is fantastic, the direct access to the beach is brilliant, and there was always plenty to keep him entertained. The entertainment team worked incredibly hard every day and created such a fun atmosphere. Our room was clean, comfortable and had a lovely sea view. Housekeeping did a great job throughout our stay, and every member of staff we came across was friendly, welcoming and always happy to help. The buffet offered a huge variety of food at every meal, so there was always something for everyone. The location is also excellent, with the beachfront promenade right on your doorstep and plenty of bars, restaurants and shops within walking distance. Thank you to everyone at Sol Príncipe for making our stay so enjoyable. We wouldn’t hesitate to return and would happily recommend it to any family looking for a fun, relaxing holiday in Torremolinos.

Had a great holiday here with my family. We have a young daughter and the entertainment staff were fantastic, the food was amazing, it’s a smaller selection than other hotel buffets we’ve been to, which means they are able to have more fresh cooked food. I think the smaller selection is good, less overwhelming for little ones. Hotel has great views, is clean and has a shaded play park for wee ones, and a splash park with slides and water features. We were in 3213 and we bonded with Lola who was looking after our row of rooms for the week and she made our experience incredible. Always smiling and nothing was too much of an ask for her. A true gem. We hope to be back at Sol Príncipe soon. Thanks so much for having us :)

We have just come back from our stay at this hotel, where five of us stayed in two rooms, and it was truly wonderful. From the moment we arrived, Juan Antonio welcomed us warmly and was always approachable at Reception. One of our group members uses a wheelchair and stayed in the Family Room, and Juan kindly rearranged the rooms so both were together. Although there was quite a distance between the family room and dining area, which was a bit challenging for the person with walking issues, we managed well. Next time, we’ll ask for the person with walking difficulties to be accommodated in the main building rather than the family room. The hotel and its location exceeded all our expectations. Every pool featured walk-in access and hoists, making them very accessible. While the outdoor pools were still cool in May, they became comfortable once you were inside. We chose the all-inclusive package, which provided excellent value with food and drinks available all day. The evening entertainment was average, but since our group was small, it didn’t affect our enjoyment. Our visit coincided with the Derek Ryan Beat the Heat week, which brought more guests, and more reserving of sunbeds with the larger crowds but the hotel would put notes on the beds to clear after 1hr. We had a great holiday and have already booked for next year.

We recently stayed at Sol Príncipe in Torremolinos as a family of five and had a fantastic holiday. The highlight for our children was definitely the Kidsdome activities. A special shout-out to Emilio, Carlos, and the rest of the Kidsdome crew—they were absolutely brilliant with the kids and made a huge difference to our stay. Their energy, enthusiasm, and genuine care helped create some wonderful memories. The hotel has large pool areas with plenty of space for everyone, and despite the number of guests, we were always able to find sunbeds by the pool. There were also lots of pool activities throughout the day, keeping both kids and adults entertained. Breakfast was another highlight, with a huge buffet offering an impressive selection of food. The only small downside was that the coffee could be better, but that certainly didn't spoil the experience. The staff throughout the hotel were friendly and helpful, and the location is excellent, with the beach just a short walk away. Every evening there was entertainment on the main stage, giving families something to enjoy after dinner. One thing to be aware of is the size of the hotel. With around 800 rooms and thousands of guests, it can feel busy at times. However, it never felt overcrowded or uncomfortable, and the hotel is well organised to handle the numbers. Overall, we would definitely recommend Sol Príncipe to families with children. There is always something to do, the facilities are excellent, and the staff do a great job of making guests feel welcome. We would happily return.

This is the hotel for you if you like: - rude staff from top to bottom, from the moment you arrive to reception and duly wait 30-45 minutes for check in, till your restaurant and bar experiences, entire hotel reeks of moody staff. - full board without water, dont bother selecting full board because no drinks are included, yes jot even water, that is an extra 2.90 eur for 7dl. - wifi so slow that youtube starts videos at 140p and then buffers... feels like 2004 - decrepit, slow elevators - 900 million sunbeds placed around the pools, dont even think about pushing a stroller through, you are lucky if you can even get around on foot without tripping - ever been to another Melia in Costa del Sol. That's right: same dessert, same fish, same sides as Holiday World Resorts 15 minutes from here. - same food on almost all days. Pork, chicken and same type of fish. Once or twice a week something special like mozarrella or clams... scrambled eggs so artificial that almost nobody touches it, omelette 'as you want it' except its pre-prepped and with the worst ham and cheese you can fathom. Cocktails are great though, so kudos to the bartenders for not skipping alcohol, worth 8eur if you're not all inclusive. P.S. lines at reception get replicated at breakfast/lunch and dinner if you arrive in the last hour to eat, cause staff needs to double check against their marvelous system your room number. Thank you Melia for making it easier in the future to untick your brand from filtering vacation spots.
