Sol Príncipe is a good hotel overall, perfectly suited for a calm family vacation. The evening entertainment was enjoyable, and the pools were great. ​However, because the hotel caters to many guests, the space around the pool for sunbeds and the seating in the restaurant feel inadequate when it’s busy. In our room, the air conditioning was quite slow to cool down, and the refrigerator stayed warm instead of cold. The meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) were standard buffet fare—nothing fancy, but fine. Good stay overall, just be prepared for the crowds during peak hours!

We had a really enjoyable stay at Sol Príncipe in Torremolinos. The rooms were modern, spotless, and very comfortable, and the pool areas were lovely with plenty of space to relax. The standout part of our stay was the fantastic service from the Guest Experience team, especially Fran and Valeria. Valeria was always so polite, kind, and incredibly helpful. She happily arranged multiple taxis for us throughout our stay, including trips to Aqualand and to the airport, and was always on hand whenever we needed assistance. Fran was an absolute gentleman from the moment we arrived. He gave us such a warm and welcoming greeting and went above and beyond by arranging a bottle of cava and chocolates in another member of our group’s room as a birthday surprise, which was a lovely touch and very much appreciated. The food was generally good, although some evenings were a little hit and miss and, as with many all-inclusive hotels, it did become a bit repetitive on a longer stay. That said, there was still plenty of choice and it certainly didn’t spoil our holiday. Overall, we had a great experience and would happily return. A special thank you again to Fran and Valeria for making our stay that little bit more special.

We have just come back from our stay at this hotel, where five of us stayed in two rooms, and it was truly wonderful. From the moment we arrived, Juan Antonio welcomed us warmly and was always approachable at Reception. One of our group members uses a wheelchair and stayed in the Family Room, and Juan kindly rearranged the rooms so both were together. Although there was quite a distance between the family room and dining area, which was a bit challenging for the person with walking issues, we managed well. Next time, we’ll ask for the person with walking difficulties to be accommodated in the main building rather than the family room. The hotel and its location exceeded all our expectations. Every pool featured walk-in access and hoists, making them very accessible. While the outdoor pools were still cool in May, they became comfortable once you were inside. We chose the all-inclusive package, which provided excellent value with food and drinks available all day. The evening entertainment was average, but since our group was small, it didn’t affect our enjoyment. Our visit coincided with the Derek Ryan Beat the Heat week, which brought more guests, and more reserving of sunbeds with the larger crowds but the hotel would put notes on the beds to clear after 1hr. We had a great holiday and have already booked for next year.

This was our second time staying at thie hotel. Loved it so much we decided to stay again. I cannot believe how much the standards have dropped since our first time. 1.We originally booked all inclusive but then decided at a later point to go half board. I wish we never booked that either. The food was horrendous. The menu never changed once for the 8 nights we stayed. Breakfast and lunches fine, but dinners. The same dinners for 8 nights. Absolutely rotten. 2.Some staff were extremely rude kept speaking over you, wouldn't acknowledge what I was trying to explain. I do feel in hotels were the guests are mostly speaking English that staff should have some sort of English so communication can be easier. 3. Pools are great nice big sizes. Kids pool area is great however its like an ice rink for the kids when they leave the water. Only for I was holding my kids hands when they left the water they would have face planted the concrete. I seen one boy smash his head and parents had to rush over and get ice packs etc. Very very dangerous. Kids enjoyed the pool but next year we'll be going elsewhere.

We had a fantastic family holiday at Hotel Sol Príncipe and would happily recommend it. The entertainment team deserves a special mention – they put so much effort into keeping the kids happy, and our daughter absolutely loved the kids' club. The splash park was a huge hit too, and the pool was always clean and well looked after. The food was superb with loads of variety every day, so even the fussiest eaters would struggle to complain. Our room was spotless, the cleaners were absolute stars, and check-in was quick and hassle-free. Everything was running so smoothly that I was genuinely wondering what I was going to moan about... until around 6pm each evening. Every night, families would gather near the stage, grab a drink, find a bit of shade under the umbrellas, and wait for the entertainment. Then, almost like clockwork, two maintenance lads would appear on a mission to close every umbrella in sight. No warning, just winding them down while families scrambled to move chairs, pushchairs and children out of the way. With the Spanish sun still blazing, it felt far too early and came across as unnecessarily rude. It's a shame because literally everything else was excellent. If those two had waited another hour before launching "Operation Umbrella", this would easily have been a 5-star review. Apart from that, an amazing hotel and a brilliant family holiday. We'd definitely consider coming back.
