Had a great time at the sands, the property is right on the beach. Great place to stay with children. Won’t work very well for people without kids. Great breakfast but could get busy at times as there are a lot of people with children. The water park inside the property worked well for a rainy day as it gave us a fun activity to do. The staff is courteous, would like to mention Poom in particular who was at the local travel desk. She was very helpful in organising our local site seeing and gave us some great recommendations for restaurants

Overall a very very nice place to stay. The beach was clean and lovely. The coconut bar staff are fantastic. The pools were very good, always clean. The Talay restaurant was good 2 out of 3 visits but average on one. The rooms were lovely. Lots of room. Air con on when we arrived which was nice. Rooms were large and well equipped. They are now our standard for resorts and hotel rooms. The staff with one single exception were lovely, helpful and super polite. When we next travel The Sands will be hard to go past.

This was our 4th stay at the Sands resort. We were welcomed back like family from the moment we arrived. We decided to stay in the Seaview pool access rooms and were not disappointed. These are elite rooms. We had requested our 3 rooms together and this was kindly accommodated. My wife has a heart related medical issue and was always afforded the buggy up the hill to the Main Street. The new renovation of the floating market was terrific as was the upgrades of the gym, mango bar and the adult only pool. The breakfast at the Sands was very memorable. Excellent variety and all foods were fresh. I would have liked the staff to be a bit more proactive about balls in the infinity pool as this was a constant issue by guests, yes there are clear signs. The sands is in a terrific location and the Seaview rooms offer a quieter area rather than the kids/parents area. Of particular mention was the customer service officer Fon. Every morning she would come to see us at breakfast and ask how our stay was and was able to provide humidifiers to our rooms as the air con had a damp smell from the rain. Fon’s attention to detail and willingness to help was outstanding and I’m glad that I can recognise her efforts in this forum. It is my hope that the Sands/Katathani management recognise her outstanding service to customers. Once again the Sands provided our family with an memorable holiday in beautiful Khao Lak. Everything about our stay at the Sands was great! From check in to check out we loved it, well except for the checking out part meant our holiday was over! The food at the restaurants was all great, particularly the Talay the service and food was fantastic. Great staff at coconut Bar for our cocktail hours and happy hours. Best hotel gym I have seen other than on a cruise. Rooms were great and was plenty of room for the 3 of us travelling as a family. Our 12 year old loved the kids club with the PS5. He also loved the waterside and lazy river at the aqua park.

Just spent a week at this hotel in a Seaside Junior Suite and we enjoyed a perfect stay. The room was large and modern with a huge bed and even had english style plug sockets. This is a family hotel with lots of children but the childrens pool was in a separate part of the hotel and we ate our breakfast in an adult only dining room so we had no issues as 2 adults with no children. First time we have visited Thailand and I knew Thailand is known as the land of smiles. However, we were blown away just how nice and polite and friendly the staff are and they do everything in their power to improve your holiday experience. Hotel grounds were immaculate and the Khao Lak area was very nice and laid back. It was easy to get around the area cheaply via a Tuc Tuc or taxi. Don't often say this but I would definitely return to this hotel as the experience was so good.
