Lovely little hotel in quiet season. We stayed for 7 nights at the end of June and had a lovely time. We paid £60 more for a deluxe pool access room which was fantastic. They offered us an upgrade when we arrived but we preferred the room we had booked. The rooms are spacious with a table and 2 comfy chairs. Bathrooms have a huge concrete tub and a separate shower. 2 sun beds on the balcony and a little ladder jnto the infinity pool which is the biggest and deepest in the hotel. Pool was a lovely temperature - refreshing but not cold and we had almost to ourselves most days. The beach area is small but it was red flag for the sea when we were there but you can have a nice walk along the beach (well worth stopping at Nana's for a fruit shake). Breakfast wasn't the best but perfectly acceptable- variety of rice or noodles and congee everyday, fresh salad and fruit, eggs made to order, variety of bread for toast, chicken sausages, ham (warm in water - looked a bit grim) and baked beans. You can definitely fill up and not need lunch. All the staff were delightful.

When I first arrived on March 20th of this year, I was disappointed to find that there was no beach due to the way the tides hit this property as a result of its corner location. It took about three days to see the beach. At the ocean front area is a concrete pad portion as well as a sandy portion with tables and lounge chairs. Not exactly what I had pictured- I am used to travelling to places where you simply walk out onto the beach. But having said that, Ko Samui is hillier so none of the properties along this section of Chaweng had beachfront access without walking down concrete stairs to access the beach. And once you walked 2 resorts worth of beach over, you found yourself in beautiful water and sandy beaches. I cannot speak for all rooms, but we had the up-down duplex rooms with a walkout, large pool area and we were absolutely thrilled with our rooms- spacious, clean and well appointed- especially the upstairs master suites. The pool was fantastic and mostly ours until the last couple days before we left. What really made our stay were the fantastic staff. On the third day in, my friend, while we were out walking to a restaurant, fell and broke her foot. The staff were all so accommodating- the front end manager even allowed us to use the property wheelchair off the premises so we could wheel her around. She needed cart transport everywhere and the drivers, particularly Tom, were always ready with the cart and a smile. I cannot remember everyone's names but the head chef, Pat from the egg station, Nuda, Jessie, Laila all stand out as do Sak and Ken. While the beach was a bit of a disappointment at first, our beautiful pool, great staff and fun cooking classes took the sting out of a broken foot and altered vacation plans.

We self-drove all the way from our home in Kuala Lumpur to Khao Lak. The Briza Beach Resort Khao Lak has a great location, within walking distance to shops and restaurants. It’s very quiet and relaxing during the low season, although it rains almost every day and the sea is quite rough during this period. The room was clean, spacious, and equipped with standard amenities. It’s definitely great value during the low season. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially the housekeeping lady who looked after room 827 during my stay. The pool is huge and beautiful — the infinity pool was especially impressive.

Stayed in the Premium Beach Front Room for 5 days. Ask for the upper floor the view is great if staying on the lower floor not such a good view. The room has personal sunbeds. Great location. 15 minutes away from the pier to Similan and Surin Islands. We used Wow Andaman for our trips. Great operator. Lots of restaurants and convenience stores closed by, all walking distance. Breakfast was 3.5 stars. If staying many nights you would get bored of it very easily. Used the pool once because there wasn't any shade and always had lots of sun. The pool was warm not really refreshing to swim in. The only complaint would be the internet WiFi which was really really bad, 1 star for that. If you need the internet for work you are in trouble. Overall 3.75/5 stars.

Check in was delayed, the room wasn't even ready at 14.10 Reserved sun beds at 5 o'clock was a huge problem here. Specially when people only arrived to their chairs at 11 o'clock (see pictures). Very stressful! Asked for rooms close by and with twin beds, nothing was fulfilled. We got a double bed and a connecting room with others than our family The connecting room was extremely noisy. Towels torn and stained, uneven cleaning (dirt on the floor and bedding was sloppy). Mold on toilet floor (see pictures). Outdated rooms, joints, dirt in corners, unfresh pool, no circulation. Hot tub in the pool doesn't bubble (false marketing). Smoking going on everywhere by the beach and pool area. Cats everywhere at breakfast Ordered a taxi from the hotel (via the reception) to our next hotel, but they booked in the wrong direction. From our new hotel to where we were, scandal. Otherwise: Good selection at the breakfast The pool in the new building was fresh Nice view and good location with lots of restaurants and supermarkets close by
