Stayed for a week in late August 2026. We ahd a seaview room and it was a genuine excellent seaview room (642) spotlessly clean and on par with other good hotels I've stayed in. Service was consistently good, and the staff were responsive when asked. Breakfast was a mixed bag. The bacon was overcooked ALL mornings, and the pancakes defaulted to cinnamon, which didn't suit everyone. That said, the team happily made pancakes without it when requested, which I appreciated. Also appreciated the free slushie ice lollies by the pool on one of the hot days. One area for improvement, given the limited family-friendly options nearby in the evenings, a simple early family-hour activity once or twice a week could make a big difference for guests with younger children. Overall, a strong hotel, just a couple tweaks away from being truly excellent. Special shout out to Lama and Kenneth (breakfast trainee and poolside team). Kenneth was always attentive and he goes beyond and above. We will definitely come back for that view and the pool

Food Review

The Westin Dragonara’s location and views deserve 100 out of 10. The setting is spectacular and easily the strongest reason to choose this hotel. It is the kind of place where simply looking out at the sea becomes a very enjoyable part of the stay. The rooms are excellent: wonderfully spacious, with enough room to feel comfortable rather than squeezed in. The air-conditioning deserves particular praise. It works exceptionally well and actually delivers the temperature you want. In Malta, that makes a considerable difference to how much you enjoy your room and how comfortably you sleep. Some areas would benefit from a fresh coat of paint and a few small repairs. A little maintenance would help the rooms look as good as their size and comfort deserve. These are relatively minor improvements, but at this level of hotel, the details deserve attention. The service is the weaker part of the experience. Staff often seemed slow and confused, and the overall impression was that the team needed better coordination. A hotel with this setting and such comfortable rooms should be able to deliver a smoother, more organised experience. The surroundings make relaxing easy; the service occasionally requires you to practise patience. For anyone who enjoys visiting a casino, the location is particularly convenient. The casino is within easy reach, making the hotel a very appealing choice if that is part of your evening plans. Being able to enjoy the hotel and have the casino so close is a definite advantage. This is a Marriott property, and the prices are in line with what you would expect from the brand. The location, views and spacious rooms give you clear reasons to pay those rates. Faster, more confident service and a little cosmetic maintenance would make the experience feel more complete. Overall, a hotel with outstanding surroundings, excellent room space and superb air-conditioning. I would choose it for those strengths. Give the walls a little attention and the staff a clearer sense of direction, and the whole experience could match that extraordinary view.

My wife and I stayed at the Westin for the third time. We love this hotel. The staff are all friendly and helpful. The food is of excellent quality. There are plenty of sun loungers, and there is easy access to the sea. There is a well equipped gym and also sauna and a steam room. This year my wife spained her ankle, and the staff could not be more helpful, They loaned her a wheelchair, crutches and a seat for the bath. They bought out ice packs every two hours. A fantastic hotel in every way.

This has been so disappointing. The food, service and facilities are 3 star vs 5 star. I only got decaf capsules for the coffee machine in my room despite asking. First day no water to use in the coffee machine and when I opened one that was 4 euro and used enough for an espresso I went to reception and they told me they had to charge me for using it. My key card would not work in the lift and I was told I did not need a lift so had to walk into the lobby in my robe and swimsuit before going to the spa. To go to the spa you need to walk through a really male dominated gym with outside access. (See video). The food and drinks are super expensive but see photos for how poor the food is. When I checked in nobody helped me to my room or with my baggage. I did not get a welcome drink. I did not get any instructions as to how to get food or where to go or opening hours - was just told to scan the QR code and find out myself despite arriving after a 4.5 hour flight which was 2.5 hours delayed and said I was starving.

Wonderful start to our vacation thanks to Suneel at the reception. We were staying at The Westin Dragonara Resort and would like to highlight Suneel’s warm welcome. We arrived from the airport earlier than the scheduled check-in time. There were eight of us, staying in four rooms. From the first minutes, Suneel greeted us in a very friendly and professional manner. He kindly explained all the important details of our stay. Even though it was before the official check-in time, he did his best to have our rooms ready as soon as possible. In the end, we were checked in one by one as rooms became available, and we were able to start our vacation earlier than expected. First impressions matter, and that kind, professional attitude immediately created a great atmosphere and a wonderful start to our vacation. We also appreciated his high level of English,client orientation and communication skills. We highly value his work. Thank you, Suneel , for such a warm welcome and a great start to our unforgettable stay at the hotel!
