So this is the first review having been here for 24 hrs. Maybe somewhat critical as I am a training and management professional. Rooms are spacious and clean and well equipped. Great views and good facilities. Built into hillside so one may need a buggy to get around which can be done easily by contacting reception. The reception staff are polite and friendly and check in was simple. Restaurant and IT system.... the restaurant staff in evening were friendly. However they lack training and supervision, no consistency in knowledge and attention and front of house lacks efficiency and professionalism. Not the fault of employee but of management or lack of it Example.. I had three different waitresses ask me the same thing..leading to misunderstanding as to who was doing what. Wife was not well, so some empathy to recommend or guide her with food options would have been nice. (note there is a difference between sympathy and empathy). IT system...seems that staff dont know how to use it or it is not fit for purpose...maybe both. We could not remember which restaurant we had booked and when.. staff not able to look this up on thier system. We were given a card to carry around to get stamped as we were half board. Along with a room key..this needs to change..the IT system should be able to keep our account upto date without carrying a paper around to each restaurant. Recommend an electronic bracelet for room and restaurant entry connecting and updating the customer account. Cleanliness.. plenty of hand sanitiser in reception, however..just one on staff desk, in a large restaurant serving buffet etc Everyone sharing tongs...illness waiting to happen?. recommend at least four more sanitising stations to encourage customers to use it in and around restaurant Breakfast, staff seemed less happy, didn't get additional cutlery for wife when she sat down and didn't clear plates. Gym.. small but clean and well equipped with water and towels and sanitiser. Good ambience and great view. The gardens and pool are beautiful and wonderful views. A few showers near the main pool would be good for bathers to use (Horizon Pool) This hotel has a lot of potential and with some simple changes to policy, training and the IT system would make it a whole lot better. The small things often make the biggest difference. train the trainers, reward and recognise good leaders, motivate staff to ensure consistency.

Overview: The Westin Siray Bay is a property with immense potential, but it currently sits in a frustrating middle ground. While the bones of a five-star resort are there, the lack of basic maintenance makes it feel more like a low four-star experience. The Room & Maintenance: The rooms are impressively large and the layouts are great, but they are being let down by a lack of upkeep. It isn't just that the decor is "dated"—it’s that the finishings are neglected. We saw nicks in the walls, unpainted patches, and deteriorating grout. There was visible blackness and mold-like spotting around the tubs and sinks that really detracts from the luxury feel. It’s a shame because the rooms are actually kept very clean by the housekeeping staff; they just need a maintenance crew to spend a day on "touch-ups" to bring them back to life. When you’re paying five-star prices, you shouldn’t be able to look in any direction without seeing a needed repair. Facilities & Location: • The Views & Pools: Absolutely stunning. The cliffside location offers world-class vistas, and the multiple pools are a highlight of the stay. • The Beach: Be aware that the beach is rocky and tidal. It’s lovely to look at, but it isn’t a "swimming beach." It serves more as a beautiful backdrop than a place for water sports. • Location: One of the best perks is being so close to Phuket Town. It’s a short trip to get to the local restaurants and culture, which we really enjoyed. Dining & Vibe: The breakfast was a typical, standard buffet. It was fine, but didn't feel premium—the coffee, in particular, was not up to five-star standards. Also, note that this is a very family-heavy resort with a busy "Discovery Zone." If you are looking for a quiet, kid-free retreat, this might not be the spot for you. The Service: The standout feature is the people. The staff are incredibly kind and professional, providing the high level of service you’d expect in Thailand. Closing Thoughts: If management would invest in a simple, annual maintenance program for the grout and paint, this would be an incredible hotel. Right now, the service and views are carrying the weight of a building that needs a bit of love. Will update as we’ve only been here for 2 days out of 9 so far.

Just Amazing!!!! Our first stay in Phuket was at the stunning Westin resort. The location that the hotel is nestled in is just beautiful, and the design is by much in keeping with the Thai style. The room we had with shared outside pool was just bliss and very comfortable fir the duration of our stay. We ate at EEST Thai restaurant every night because the food was just delicious and wanted to try different dishes 😄 Beach was also stunning and private too so just for hotel guests and was never very busy, so felt extra special. Would highly recommend staying here in Phuket if you want a quieter stay and a bit further away from the main hussle and bussle. Only thing I didn't try out was the gym, but there's always next time😁

My wife and I stayed at the Westin Siray Bay for 16 days. The staff was amazing! My wife is a vegan and Chef Joshua (Chef from JW Marriott Phuket) and his staff went VERY far out of their way to accommodate her by preparing her individual meals when we asked! Absolutely took care of us day or night! Piano at the front desk was always looking out for us and very considerate! Ploy, one of the drivers was always smiling and looking to help us out with something, room service, take out etc. Mod, in the dining area, went out of her way to help my wife navigate the buffet for vegan food and spoke with kitchen staff to make sure she had a great breakfast! Ja Jaa at the tour desk was also so nice and informative. She helped me download the GRAB app and explain to use it. Also she booked a private boat tour to James Bond Island, amazing! The Westin staff really made the long stay most excellent!

Pros: The view and location. The area where the Hotel is right on the ocean and gives amazing views including sunset (sunrise will be behind you in most rooms). The buggy service is convenient and quick. Cons: The room quality does not feel 5 star status. The bathroom orientation with the toilet out with no privacy is weird, tile is cracked and the lighting was terrible. When we arrived the minibar was completely empty and it took 2 phone calls and a few hours to even get it restocked. Bed also did not feel 5 star and the sheets were hard and scratchy. Service overall felt lazy and forced when needed. Middle ground: Pools were ok, not the highest of quality feeling but had a great view, just dated. Restaurants are pretty good (Prego had the best service. Overall: This hotel is meant for the views and it has them by a landslide (its on a cliff near the gulf so that could be a possible view). However, it doesnt give the 5 star quality feel.
