The hotel is a resort within itself with several restaurants and spa. If you do fancy venturing out, there are several other bars and restaurants within walking distance approximately 850m away in Tangalle. A great way to explore the local area is by bicycle or tuk tuk. You can take numerous trips and tours of key attractions from Anantara Tangalle Peace Haven Resort and Spa. It’s a 30-minute drive to Mulkirigala Rock Temple. Uda Walawe National Park, Mirissa for whale watching, and historic Galle are all approximately 1.5 hours’ drive away.

Distance from airport

Colombo’s Bandaranaike International Airport is approximately 216km away from Anantara Tangalle Peace Haven Resort and Spa. The scenic drive takes about 3.5 hours. It’s also possible to take a 45 minute flights to Dickwella, which is 10 minutes-drive from the resort. There’s one transfer flight per day or it’s possible to charter a private flight.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel. We spent three nights here and enjoyed every moment. The staff were absolutely wonderful, the food was delicious, and the private beach was simply stunning. We especially loved the complimentary yoga sessions and the beautiful pool area. Another highlight was seeing animals wandering around the property — it made the experience feel even more special and unique. We truly loved our stay and would happily come back. The only downside is that the hotel is not adults-only, so there are children around. It would be great if there were a designated area for kids, especially around the pool, to make the experience more relaxing for adult guests.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A genuinely peaceful retreat in a stunning setting We’ve had a wonderful stay at Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle Resort, and it truly lives up to its name. The setting alone is exceptional, perched above the Indian Ocean with sweeping views, constant sea breeze, and a sense of calm that you feel almost immediately on arrival. The resort is beautifully designed and immaculately maintained. The grounds are expansive yet peaceful, with plenty of quiet corners as well as lovely pool and beach areas. Our room was spacious, spotless and very comfortable, with thoughtful touches throughout and a layout that made it easy to properly relax rather than just “stay”. What really stands out, though, is the service. Every member of staff we encountered was warm, attentive and genuinely kind, never overbearing, always professional, and clearly proud of the resort. Small moments of care and attention made the stay feel personal and well considered. Food was consistently excellent, with a good variety across the restaurants and high standards throughout. Breakfast in particular was a highlight, both for the quality and the setting. The spa and wellness facilities were also superb and added to the overall sense of escape and restoration. This is an ideal resort for couples or anyone looking for tranquillity, space and understated luxury in a breathtaking part of Sri Lanka. We left feeling rested, looked after and already talking about a return visit, which says it all.

This resort is an experience: from the welcome to good bye rituals. You are surrounded by nature, flora and fauna are in perfect harmony. You can have nature walks, play some tennis, badminton, table tennis or pool. On the domain of the resort, accompanying you on the beach or during breakfast, there are lizards, mongosses, playful squirrels, peacocks, monkeys, a lot of other bird species. There is a private beach but the sea is quite rough with strong waves, however one can walk along the shore to the public beach where you can enter easier the water. The premises are extremely clean everywhere and the staff very friendly and helpful. Gothami welcomed us, showed us around and took us to our private villa with pool. Once you book such a room you get a host who is going to be with you in contact throughout the entire stay and will provide any information or service needed. Thank you Yohan for making us feel taken care of. The spa center and the massage therapist Thushtika were amazing. The coconut guru makes sure you have fresh coconut water during the day. Special thanks to the staff from the Italian restaurant Il Mare. Overall food is very good and there are a lot of options to tailor to everyone's needs. Dessert are extremely tasty, not very sweet and usually light. Fruit is so fresh and tasty. Feedback: you might consider using bracelets of different colors to distinguish between the type of reservation (all inclusive or not). Mini bar 1st use could be complimentary for villas at least.

Really very impressed!! A very fine 5 star Resort! Super tropical setting on a beautyfull and romantic beach. Not a single unfriendly employee, all very very kind and sympathetic. Food in all restaurants super. The manager of the Il Mare restaurant with its outstanding view is definately one of the best rest. managers I have ever seen and talked with. One of the leading Chefs personally served me fresh mango 3 times for breakfast on the outside terrace. I had a super talented and friendly lady who per whatts app had always been accessable . She even proactivly took care about my anticipated needs and requests. And even the nice friendly Madushan (.?), who took care of my room simply had been excellent! To sum it up: worthwhile to come back.Top 5 star resort but not in anyway stiff but relaxed. Congrats to the hotels management

Amazing stay at Amantra Peace Heaven Resort. It was my birthday and the team surprised us with a complimentary upgrade and a birthday cake waiting in the room such a thoughtful touch. The room was beautiful and very comfortable. Breakfast was great with a good variety of dishes. The couple spa therapy was excellent ,very good massage, calming essential oils, and hot herbal tea served afterwards. The therapists were skilled and professional. The romantic dinner at the Italian restaurant was truly memorable. The next evening at the Asian restaurant, the staff went out of their way to prepare Indian dal-chawal specially for us, which we really appreciated. All the staff were extremely polite and helpful. The resort was so peaceful and nice that we hardly felt like going out. Highly recommended.loved it. Will visit again
