I I highly recommend this resort! I arrived here about two weeks before hurricane Melissa struck. The views were stunning. The beach was raked every morning to look brand new every morning. The food was very good, the people and staff, incredible and attentive, music, drinks and a staff that genuinely cares! However, once hurricane Melissa came to this area, where the Resort is, is when I really saw what this Resort and it’s people are all about! While they had their own families and homes to care for, they made sure that every guest was safe from this hurricane and took great care to make sure everyone had food, was in secured rooms and was well taken care of and given good communication. The preparations they took for the hurricane were systematic , well organized, and they were well prepared, and their buildings were built so hurricane resistant that they were strong enough to resist the storm. Thanks to their efforts, all of us were well and safe! It is one thing to have a nice resort and beautiful views and food and drinks and music and enjoy yourself. It is quite another level when there is an emergency and you see how well everyone performed here and what length they went to make sure we were all safe before, during and after the storm. Every staff member from customer service, front desk to maintenance, maids, bellmen and chefs and servers and others were all incredible! They revealed who they really are, beautiful people mostly from Jamaica some from Mexico with great leadership, and a great team. I am forever appreciative of their efforts to keep me safe and treat me well under difficult circumstances . Again, that is where they really shined. I love this resort Jamaica and it’s people.

We have been to this resort multiple times, the staff is wonderful as always! They are always willing to help with whatever needs you may have. The issues that are really upsetting are the cut of staff, causing many events and resturants to be closed. This resort boasts its many restaurants and we end up in a buffet line.......I'm expecting a certain level of vacation for the money payed. When I walk over to the buffet.. I almost loose a toe due to the decking literally disintegrating. Wich is another issue, I mainly point blame to the hotel not spending money to upkeep the facilities. I say this because the shrubbery, the beach, the grass everything that the workers "can" maintain looks excellent. Large items like the decking, fixing rot areas on the hotel room exteriors. Another issue is fresh fruit is scarce, alcohol items and mixers are limited. On top of all of this I used this vacation to show my mother Jamaica for the fist time. Overall the staff is amazing but the decline of the all of the other things make me rethink where we will spend our next vacation. I wasn't sure on posting this but Shyaine from the resort asked that we would write an honest review.

We had the most incredible vacation here at Azul in Negril. The resort was in wonderful condition, and the staff remained so positive and unbelievably accommodating, even after just enduring the hurricane. A special shoutout to Keneatha, TT, Mr. Beat, and Jehnoy for making our stay truly unforgettable.

The resort is overall nice.. it is looking a little aged, it needs a update for sure . The staff is amazing. Everyone knows your name. Marion in the buffet restaurant was absolutely amazing 😍😍. I could not ask for better service.. We enjoyed Rashane and Sheri if we wanted something they found a way to get it to us.. I would definitely return to the resort just for the staff alone .
