I can’t even say how many times we’ve returned to Barceló because I’ve honestly lost count. I can tell you we’ve been coming here since it was simply Maya Beach back in 1999. The reason we keep coming back is simple—the staff continues to exceed our expectations every single visit. Everyone is genuinely kind, welcoming, and always goes above and beyond to make our stay memorable. If there’s ever a hiccup, it’s handled quickly and professionally. There are so many dining options and activities that you’ll never run out of things to do. And if your idea of the perfect vacation is simply relaxing, you’ll find countless beautiful spots to unwind and enjoy the stunning surroundings. We celebrated an early 40th anniversary with beautiful beach photos that I’d highly recommend doing. After all these years, Barceló still feels like our home away from home, and we look forward to returning again and again. (Shout out to Antonio & Reynaldo in the Carey lobby bar, Natasha with Aqua Fitness, Pablo Vargas outdoor photos and Iris Baez it’s always a pleasure to see you.)

I had an amazing experience! The bartender Flavio Dominguez at Bar Carey was friendly, professional, and attentive throughout the entire experience. The drinks were perfectly made, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was even better. You can tell they genuinely care about making sure their customers have a great time. Definitely recommend and would gladly come back again! 10/10 service! 🍹✨

I would give this resort zero stars if I could. I honestly do not understand all the five-star reviews. We have stayed at many resorts in Cancun, and this was by far our worst experience. We paid extra for the Premium Level, but nothing about our stay felt premium. Food: The food was very disappointing. Even my kids did not like the ice cream. Restaurant reservations were almost impossible to get. You can only book 48 hours in advance, yet somehow the restaurants were already fully booked for the next five days. We also did not receive any noticeable priority or benefit from being Premium Level guests. Service: There was no poolside service. Every time we wanted a drink, we had to wait in a long line at the bar. Communication was also difficult because many staff members did not speak English, so we frequently had to use Google Translate. The staff member at the activity desk was especially rude. At 5:30 p.m., she refused to give my son a ball to play with because the desk was closing at 6:00 p.m. She did not provide any reasonable explanation. Rooms: The rooms were clean and comfortable, which was one of the few positive parts of our stay. Kids Club: My kids could not stay there for even an hour because they were so bored. It seemed like the staff mostly kept the children inside watching television instead of offering engaging activities. Also, be prepared to feel hot throughout the resort. There was little or no air conditioning in the lobby, theater, or elevators. The only place we could comfortably cool down was inside our room. Overall, we have visited many resorts in Cancun, and unfortunately, this was the worst one we have stayed at. We would not return or recommend it.

Lovely experience. Not one thing was out of place or in need of attention. We didn't encounter ANY insects except ants on the beach. The beach was VERY rocky and probably the only downside. Getting in and out was tricky. All the staff were pleasant and helpful. Buffet was good, although some nights the protein had more of one type instead of a variety. But for the most part there was always tasty beef, chicken and pork. Our king room was lovely. A little surprised at the lack of trolleys but it forced us to not be lazy and get lots of steps in. We ate at the adjacent resort one day for lunch and Palace is far superior. We would definitely return. The grounds are very nice and well maintained. Revised: a couple downsides were the *paid* cabanas at the adults only pool, paid go karts, and tennis court lights. Wouldn't expect some of these optional items to require extra payment.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had an amazing experience at Buffet Mirador! The food was fresh, delicious, and offered a great variety of options for everyone. The restaurant was clean, welcoming, and had a wonderful atmosphere. What made our visit truly special was the outstanding staff. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. Their excellent service made us feel valued and comfortable throughout our meal. Thank you to the entire team at Buffet Mirador for such a memorable dining experience. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great food and exceptional service!
