The Barceló Fuerteventura Mar is a superb choice for a holiday in the Canaries. This hotel offers modern rooms and direct access to a peaceful beachfront, and boasts a range of leisure facilities such as swimming pools, a children's club, and a mini golf course. Besides being able to provide guests with a variety of activities and entertainment, the hotel also has a fitness studio and a luxurious spa area. The complex’s buffet restaurant serves a mixture of international and local cuisine, while the fantastic A La Carte options are certain to tantalise your taste buds. We absolutely love coming to this hotel. It is amazing for families and couples. The staff here are amazing and the customers service is outstanding. We had Charity look after our room who was so kind and polite and always happy to help, she really made us feel so welcome. Lorenzo on the front desk always went above and beyond to help us and provided excellent service. The bar staff and waiters are all friendly and welcoming. We couldn’t recommend more. The hotel and staff really made our holiday so special.

The atmosphere throughout the resort was exceptional—warm, welcoming, and full of positive energy. The facilities, service, and overall experience exceeded our expectations and created memories that our family will cherish for years to come. I had the best experience as always in Barcelo Mar. Stunning hotel, food, services, gym and reception staff. The beds are like lying on a cloud. It is so clean and well kept by the staff. Especially thankful to Lionel in guest experience for his help, discretion professionalism, and overall attitude. His is a very valuable member of the team. I cannot thank him highly enough for all the support he offered in my time of need. So grateful I found this stunning hotel 3 years ago and for anyone considering a solo holiday, this is the place to be. Ten minutes from the airport, fabulous guests and a very safe place too.

I highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing vacation. The food is absolutely excellent, with a wide variety of delicious options that cater to different tastes. It’s also a fantastic place for families with children, offering plenty of amenities and activities that make the stay enjoyable for both kids and adults. What truly makes this hotel stand out is the exceptional service. The staff is always friendly, attentive, and ready to help. A special mention goes to Sebastian, one of the waiters, who is incredibly kind, professional, and always goes the extra mile to ensure guests feel welcome and well taken care of. Overall, it’s a wonderful place to stay, combining great food, family-friendly facilities, and outstanding hospitality.

The resort is largely split between the Castillo bungalows and the Mar hotel rooms as thebungalows often use the Mar facilities. We prefer the location of the Mar but the room layout of the bungalows. The breakfast has a much larger choice than the Castillo although if you ask the hotel, it tries to say it's exactly the same. We find the staff in the Mar really friendly but the housekeeping at the Castillo is very good indeed. We opted for half board and we enjoyed breakfast, a light snack for lunch and ate out for our entertainment and evening meals which we really enjoyed the best for our holiday. On a lunchtime the hotel makes you buy water which is quite expensive purely to make money. It's a bad environment policy as all of the bottles they serve are glass. Other hotel instead of having water stations to reuse water bottles you can purchase and save on the environment impact of the glass bottles. The hotel is putting profit before the environment. Overall we have had a good holiday.
