My partner and I came here to celebrate his birthday but we were a bit disappointed with our stay here. The staff are friendly and welcoming. We wanted our room changed and they helped us out. However, the rooms were not clean. They smelt bad and there was mold in the rooms. The bed was uncomfortable. The rooms had cockroaches. We were only there for a few days and we saw three cockroaches. There is not good ventilation in the rooms so everything is damp and moldy. I thought the food was ok but my partner felt unwell after eating some of the food. The entertainment was okay but sometimes they changed the time or location last minute so we missed a few things. They do not provide toothbrushes or toothpaste. Don’t forget your sunscreen because it costs $30-$50 USD. There are a lot of animals in the villa lots of cats begging for food while you eat. There are dogs too and a fish pond. There are a lot of people on the beach constantly trying to sell you things which was very irritating. On the plus side the landscaping and beach is beautiful and the outdoor area is very well maintained and clean. The pool is kept clean. The bar and coffee shop were great. The outdoor golf area is cute but you can only play in the evening as there is no shade. Overall the outdoor area is beautiful but I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone due to the terrible rooms.

Beautiful Resort! Can see why alot of people we met have been there 5 or 6 times. Grounds are clean and well kept, beach is perfect. Seaweed does come ashore but crews work hard and have it cleaned by early afternoon. Food and every Ala Carte, buffet and snack bar is delicious! Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Room was cleaned very well when we had it done. Adult side guest can access anything on the family side

Extremely disappointing experience at Hotel Catalonia Royal Bávaro – Adults Only. We booked this trip to celebrate our anniversary and notified the resort in advance. Unfortunately, our room was not ready until nearly 8 PM, causing us to lose a large portion of our first day. We were told anniversary amenities would be provided (fruit, champagne, chocolates, decorations), but after the long wait, we entered the room to find absolutely nothing prepared. Dining was another major frustration. Restaurant reservations fill up quickly, yet there is no option to reserve before arrival. This left limited choices and unnecessary stress during what was supposed to be a relaxing vacation. The food overall was mediocre and did not match the quality expected for the price paid. Staff friendliness was inconsistent. Employees in the restaurants and lobby areas came across as unfriendly and unwelcoming compared to other resorts we’ve visited. The only standout employees were the bellboys operating the golf carts, who were consistently friendly and helpful. Communication was also challenging due to a noticeable language barrier, and the constant pressure to purchase excursions, upgrades, and other services became overwhelming and took away from the relaxing atmosphere. Overall, this was far from the anniversary experience we expected. We left disappointed and would not return or recommend this resort.

Horrible experience. First they put us in a room that was not priveleged yet paid good money for it. Finally moved to another room and there the ac doesn't work, whole building had no showers as it was rancid water for a day. Next booked room service and they never came, waited an hour called and waited another hour. Next, couldn't get in my room as the door had an issue. Walked all the way to the lobby, not a short walk and then all the way back. Sat waiting for another half an hour for someone to fix it. This is supposed to be priveleged and romantic. They sure drained all the romance. And I am used to Cuba!!!! This is just garbage. Food is fine and some staff are nice while others are totally indifferent and almost rude. Will never come back, will never recommend! The couple beside us felt the same way! Just terrible through and through.

I will also like to mention someone in particular from the Entertainment Staff. His name, Hansel. I just wanted to say that Hansel really excel in giving us a good Entertainment and even given us some feedbacks and support as we needed. I will definitely give him a 5/5 🌟. Thank You.... 🌊☺️👍
