This hotel used to be one of the best in the region. Sadly, what remains today is mostly the reputation and one of the highest price tags in the area. The disappointment starts the moment you arrive. Instead of entering a peaceful luxury resort, you immediately feel like you are checking into a large-scale construction site. The courtyard and overall atmosphere make it clear that the hotel is far from operating at the standard guests would reasonably expect. Even if you try to ignore the construction, the service experience does not justify the price. The hotel is clearly too large for the number of staff available. Waiting around 45 minutes for food became normal, and housekeeping was unreliable. We would leave the room in the morning and return around 2pm, yet the room still had not been made up. To be fair, the staff and management on the ground seem to be trying their best, but goodwill cannot fix poor hotel policy. The real issue is that the hotel appears to be selling a premium experience while operating with construction disruption, serious understaffing and service policies that make the guest experience worse. The clearest example was being charged €8 just to have a plate and cutlery sent to the room. For a hotel charging some of the highest rates in the region, charging extra for such a basic request feels petty, desperate and completely out of touch with the level of hospitality guests should expect. Overall, this no longer feels like the luxury hotel it used to be. Given the construction, poor service levels, long waits, unreliable housekeeping and unreasonable extra charges, I would strongly recommend reconsidering your booking.

HOTEL: This is a beautiful hotel that wows you as you approach it. We stayed in the King Deluxe family suite set on the 6th floor and it is huge. A large bedroom and a separate living room. The whole suite is very spacious and clean. The hotel is slightly dated, but it is going through extensive upgrade which is set to be completed by summer 2026. There are apartments in the grounds of the hotel which are going through completion after years of neglect. There is construction going on which is expected to finish by end 2026. This does create a lot of noise at the hotel and the reason why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. STAFF: This is where the hotel absolutely excels. We received true 5-star treatment and the following made our stay exceptional. Yara: For assisting with our booking and looking after us during the stay. Alex: For his constant smile and helpful "can-do" attitude where nothing was too much trouble. Eli: For the warm welcome and huge smiles at breakfast every morning. Andre & Palsome: For their excellent assistance and service. Thank you to the whole team for making us feel so welcome. I highly recommend this hotel and we will definitely be returning.

Absolutely exceptional stay at Conrad Algarve. I was completely blown away by the incredible service and, above all, the genuine friendliness of the team. The breakfast selection was not only outstanding but also beautifully and aesthetically presented — one of the best I’ve experienced. A special thank you to Catarina & Lara (FO), Eli & Emiel (F&D), Collins (Bar), and a wonderful housekeeping team member with red braided hair whose name I unfortunately didn’t catch. You all made our stay truly memorable. The level of hospitality at Conrad Algarve is outstanding, and I’m already looking forward to returning very soon.

People might say I’m biased, having stayed at this hotel more than a dozen times over the past few years, but there is a reason for that. Every single visit has been exceptional. And when special moments come around, like celebrating my 40th birthday last week, there was no question. We chose our favourite hotel in Portugal. From the moment you arrive, everything feels considered. The facilities, the spa, the leisure areas, the bars, and the restaurants, which are outstanding, all come together to create a truly memorable experience. We especially love the new style and direction. One of our absolute favourite parts of the hotel, aside from the spa, is the newly refurbished Oliveira restaurant and its exceptional chef, Vasco. He created a culinary experience for us like no other. The new menu and wine list are truly outstanding. And as a Greek, and a true lover of food, I can confidently say that the dining experience here is second to none. It is genuinely one of the best restaurant experiences we have had anywhere. But for us, it ultimately comes down to one thing, the people. It is incredibly rare to find a place where the team makes you feel genuinely welcome, where you feel at home even when you are away. The level of care, attention, and warmth is something we have struggled to find elsewhere, even across Europe. That is why this hotel, tucked away in the Algarve, keeps drawing us back. It is the little things they do, going above and beyond what you would normally expect, that truly set them apart. From the porters to reception, room service, the spa team, and everyone in between, every interaction reinforces that feeling of being looked after. We would strongly recommend this hotel, even for families with young children. We have a two year old, and the team makes our stay incredibly comfortable and effortless every time. Give it a try, but do not blame me if you find yourself coming back again and again. The experience really is second to none.

Fantastic hotel situated in beautifully manicured gardens. We stayed for five nights in a deluxe twin with balcony and pool view. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. Room service were always timely, discreet and thorough, especially the turn down service in the evening. Staff around the property were helpful and super polite. Breakfast was in a pleasant dining room with good fresh food choices, both for buffet and to order items. Leisure facilities were excellent, we used the Spa and several of the pools. The location is a little remote but easily accessible by car to Faro centre and nearby towns. There are also dining options and activities nearby in small shopping centre. Recommend this hotel and would stay again. We were recognised as Hilton Honors members and felt very welcomed.
