This December, I visited Portugal for the first time in my life — and it was also the first time I ever saw the ocean. As a happy owner of my own partnership program with a travel company, I decided to give myself a small gift and travel solo to Portugal. I rented a car and easily reached the hotel. Parking in hotel is very convenient. The hotel experience was excellent: very polite and attentive staff, a comfortable room, great conditions, always hot water, clean snow-white towels and bed linen, slippers, ironing board and iron, and a hairdryer in the room — everything you need for a comfortable stay. The hotel’s location is absolutely stunning. I’m still deeply impressed by it. I truly loved Portugal in general, especially this area — Algarve. It turned out to be an amazing vacation. The breakfasts were delicious, with a wide variety of fresh food. This is truly a five-star hotel — it deserves high praise and is definitely worth returning to. I will certainly come back, and not alone next time. I would love to visit this place in summer, because I didn’t get the chance to swim in the ocean this time — so I believe that’s still ahead of me.

I visited the Resort in 2017 and I loved it. This second time, in August 2025, felt like a disappointment. We reserved a 2-floor room in the Resort with our 1-year-old baby for 5 nights. The room was very poorly maintained: stains on all pieces of furniture, sticky remote controllers, holes in the tiled floor, black marks all over the walls. Despite immediately raising the matter with the staff - also showing them the pictures enclosed - it took 48 hours to be taken seriously. Multiple times I was promised to be provided updates on potential solutions and multiple times the staff forgot to contact me. For the last three nights, we were moved to a room in the Ocean Suites which is definitely newer. This was appreciated despite having to pack and unpack again. However there were works being performed on our floor, so this was frequently dirty and noisy. The worst part was when, at checkout, rather than being offered any discount to make up for the bad experience, I was asked for double payments for the last three nights - both for the room at Ocean Suites and the original one at the Resort!!!! All in all, the village is great, the restaurants are nice, all the services offered are great (albeit everything comes with an additional price, like tennis courts, which is unheard of in 5* hotels), and this is an amazing place for families. I will potentially come back eventually. But you need to be aware that some rooms are very poorly maintained and that the staff does not live up to the expectations of a Luxury Collection, >600€ per night hotel.

This summer I had the opportunity to visit the Pine Cliffs Resort, more specifically the O’Grill restaurant. I spent a lovely afternoon with friends who were on holiday. It was a wonderful time. We enjoyed a good rosé wine with the fantastic view of the pool, but what impressed me the most was the excellent bar service. We had the pleasure of being served by the amazing barman Ali an excellent professional who truly offered us 5 star service. Friendly, charismatic and polite! Thank you, Ali. We will definitely come back to try that cocktail 🍸

My wife and I have been traveling extensively for over ten years, staying in hundreds of hotels and Airbnbs. During that time, we reflected on our worst travel experiences—and unfortunately, this property stands out as the most difficult we have encountered. We stayed in late October to early November, during a period when the hotel was relatively empty. From the moment we arrived, we felt as though everything was on the staffs terms rather than centered around guest comfort. At nearly every point of contact—front desk, breakfast service, spa area, housekeeping, and more—we had negative experiences, REPEATEDLY. The atmosphere felt unwelcoming and, at times, almost surreal, like something out of a horror film. The rainy season had begun, which meant we spent more time in our room than anticipated, further amplifying the discomfort of our stay. Rather than detailing every issue, I will simply say that the experience became unbearable, and we ultimately decided to leave early. We had reached our limit. By comparison, we have stayed at the Sheraton Cascais. While the service there is not exceptional, it is a pleasant resort and far less isolating than Pine Cliffs. The Sheraton in Lisbon, however, offers excellent service and a welcoming attitude. Pine Cliffs will remain, for us, a memory defined by poor treatment and unnecessary distress. Well done.

The best word to describe this resort is paradise! The property is absolutely stunning! From guest services to the amenities and rooms, the attention to detail is top notch! The food was spectacular and the pricing was great. Our room was amazing and had a gorgeous view of the resort and ocean. I would highly recommend this resort!
