We had a very enjoyable stay at Secrets La Romana. The hotel itself is beautiful, very clean, with great amenities, a relaxing atmosphere, and very friendly service throughout the resort. The food was generally good, and the staff truly made the experience special. A special thank you to Diorka and Sauri from the bar, who were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive during our stay. Their positive attitude and excellent service really stood out and made our experience even more memorable. There are a few areas where the hotel could improve, particularly the breakfast, the quality of some cocktails, and the consistency of service between different areas of the resort. We had the impression that this inconsistency was partly due to a lack of coordination and guest-oriented leadership from some of the service managers. While many staff members were genuinely warm and helpful, this was not always reflected at the management level, which sometimes affected the overall experience. For example, the waitress service at the Spice Market often seemed uncoordinated. Despite these points, we still had a great stay overall and would recommend the hotel for a relaxing vacation.

Terrible staff at the restaurants. Waiters don't care about you at all . Don't bring drinks and if they do theyll bring one and never come back, we walked out our first restaurant for dinner since we were seating for 10-15 mins and no body took our order . Our room smelled like throw up when we first got there told the cleaning lady that was in the hallway to change our towels because that's where the smell was coming from , the lady never came back with towel replacements . We ended up getting new towels the following day . Our first day a guy was disrespecting our partners and started a small fight with us, just because he thought we owned the pool table and started demanding it and grabbing/pulling the stuff from our hands and ended up punchinfg my friend in the chest, we were 100% sober and aware of everything going on . the security and the staff didn't handle the situation correctly , since they saw that we weren't happy at all in the way they handled the situation, all they offered us was a "nice dinner " , and made my friend sign a warning letter for "breaking the resort rules ". Mostly all workers seem like they don't want to work there . The only good experience we had at this place was at Sakura Asian restaurant waiters and chefs were amazing and treated us correctly . Same thing with spa staff , and jeifry at pool bar . Don't recommend this resort . Or dominican republic overall .

We had a very enjoyable stay overall, especially travelling with a toddler. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful throughout the resort, including at the pool, beach and housekeeping. Rooms were clean, well maintained and the facilities were very good. Experience for Toddlers The toddler pool was excellent and one of the most useful features for younger children. The waterpark was also a big highlight, with areas that families can enjoy together, although some slides have age or height restrictions. We felt there could be more organised activities specifically for toddlers. Beach Tip The beach is fantastic, especially early in the morning when it is calm, quiet and the views are beautiful. Definitely worth visiting then. Food The food was decent, but this is the main area that could be improved as in consistency. More variety and better consistency would make a big difference. When travelling with a toddler, we often chose pasta and pizza as reliable options. Overall A very good resort for families with toddlers, with excellent service, clean facilities and standout features like the beach and waterpark.

Beautiful little pearl. Rooms are nice, clean (AC could be a bit more strong). Service is great all around the resort, from room service, concierge, restaurants and bars. Water park for families is super fun. The open areas are beautifully maintained. The resort has been renovated lately and all old reviews do not apply anymore.

We had a wonderful stay, and I already know I would come back. I have not even left yet. One of the highlights was our butler, Aneuris. He was warm, attentive, and genuinely went out of his way to make things easy and special for us, thank you Aneuris! The food was excellent with lots of variety, and I appreciated the vegetarian and vegan options. Even as two adults, the water park was a blast. The lazy river and slides were so fun. The landscaping is beautiful and really mature, which I loved. Preferred Club was definitely worth it for the quieter pool and beach access. The Japanese and Italian restaurants were our favorites. The only small downside was the evening entertainment, which felt a bit sparse. It would have been nice to have more happening at night.
