Tonight is our last night here at the resort and I wish I could say that this had been the best experience, but, it has not. I know the resort can not control the ocean, however, the true gravity of how horrible the seaweed issue is was so incredibly downplayed at booking. I have never seen Caribbean waters look so disgusting. Let’s move on. The good: our conjoining family rooms were very nice, clean and comfortable with private balconies that were peaceful and relaxing. The staff, especially at the World Cafe were amazingly kind. Always a smile on their faces and willing to help any way they could. Room service was great even though the wait times were long. We loved watching the wildlife meander about the resort as well. The bad. This list unfortunately is much longer. Limited access to the majority of the rooms, which is not mentioned in booking. I am so glad that I do not have little ones as a I watched parents struggle to carry strollers up 3 flights of stairs as there are no elevators available in the buildings. While the wildlife is refreshing and we loved seeing them, the lack of cleaning up after them by the staff was disappointing. There was animal poop covering the stairs for days even after asking if it could be cleaned up. The ice machine in our building never worked and the water was warm. Everything shuts down at 7pm, with teens and preteens that enjoy night swimming they were very disappointed that the only pool was closed at 7pm. The up charges, they are ridiculous. A simple spa “day” is over $200. Want sushi? Even if the rooftop restaurant is completely empty which it always was, you have to pay an extra $120 a day to access it. I could go on but I am tired. To sum it up, though it was a relatively relaxing short trip, I couldn’t imagine myself coming back. If the staff wasn’t absolutley amazing I would be extremely upset with the reality of this 4.6 star resort.
Weez Ten Toes Down
My vacation at the dreams sapphire was not good at all. First my wife and I was unaware of the seaweed situation along the coast line. The beach front was totally covered by seaweeds and the beach water was not accessible!! We had to spend most of our time at the pool which was overcrowded because of the beach situation! Spent more money to leave the resort to go to other islands just to enjoy the ocean water. The air conditioning units were bad!! We had to switch our room twice because the air conditioning units not working properly. Management never accommodated us for the problems we were having. The food was decent but nothing to brag about. The best restaurant is the steak house but the the French restaurant was good as well. Im leaving vacation feeling like I did before I got here needing relaxation!! I would not recommend this resort to anyone. The staff was good and friendly but as far as the amenities they were terrible!! 2.5 stars out of 5 i posted pictures of the beach at the sapphire and some pictures of the other island we went to. The water was night and day

Despite the sargassum, our stay was great!! Rooms and common areas were well taken care of and clean. The decor was beautiful! The food was exceptional!! We were pleasantly surprised that all the restaurants had amazing meals! I dont think we could pick a favorite, they were all so great! Felipe was an amazing waiter on our last night and gave the best dining service and experience out of the whole trip! All the staff was very friendly, polite and hospitable! Felipe just gave that extra sweet charm! I would highly recommend this resort to friends and family!

Our first time in Cancun could not have been more perfect at the Dreams Sapphire Resort & Spa. The resort atmosphere is beautiful, and the vibes throughout the property are absolutely stunning. We loved the food options here. Over the course of the 7 days, we were able to try a huge variety of different cuisines and dishes. What truly made this trip memorable for us was the incredible staff. We found ourselves constantly requesting and returning to the same wonderful people because of their top notch service. We are honestly so sad to leave because we are going to deeply miss them and their incredible hospitality. We want to give a massive special shout-out to: Sergio Mendoza, Ivan, Francisco, and Ismael at the World Cafe Buffet for always making our dining experiences so special. Antonio at the Barracuda beach bar for his incredible service and energy. These individuals went completely above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. I recently stayed at Dreams Sapphire Resort & Spa in the Cancun/Puerto Morelos area, and overall it was a mixed but enjoyable experience. The entertainment was definitely the highlight of the trip. The resort has a lively atmosphere, and the entertainment team works hard to keep guests engaged throughout the day and evening. From shows to activities, there was always something fun going on, and that really added to the vacation vibe. On the other hand, the food and drinks were disappointing. For an all‑inclusive resort, I expected better quality and more consistency. Some meals were okay, but overall the flavors and freshness just didn’t match the standard I’ve experienced at similar resorts. The drinks also felt watered down and lacked variety. The building itself is older, and you can tell in certain areas, but I will say it was kept very clean. Housekeeping did a great job, and the grounds were well maintained. Even though the property shows its age, the cleanliness made the stay comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location is convenient — only about 15 minutes from the airport, which is a big plus. Overall: If you’re looking for great entertainment and a clean, family‑friendly environment, this resort delivers. But if food and drink quality are a top priority for you, this might not be the best fit. With a few improvements to the dining experience, it could easily be a much stronger all‑inclusive option.
