We had a wonderful time during our family vacation and we also celebrated our daughter's birthday. The environment of the hotel is very friendly. The hotel is beautiful, great vibe, cozy(breathable). We loved the pool areas and the beach itself. We had our butler Robinson who was such a great help. We needed room service, Robinson was able get in touch with the staff and got our room cleaned. Robinson helped us out with planning the reservations for dinner. We are thankful to Robinson for making our daughter's birthday special, she was able to get a cake, which meant so much to our daughter and us. We cannot wait to come back next year and enjoy a relaxed week or two at this hotel.

One thing we really liked about the resort was how the staff organized activities around the pool. Even though my daughters did not participate in every activity, there was always something going on and the staff did a great job engaging with guests and keeping the atmosphere fun. However, the kids club itself was disappointing. It is only open from 9 AM to 6 PM, and when we visited there were very few activities available. There were not many toys, and the staff were not actively engaging with the children. It felt more like a room where kids could sit rather than a structured kids club with games or planned activities. Because of that, we did not feel comfortable leaving our daughters there and ended up staying with them the entire time. We actually had a much better experience at The Nest, the restaurant that offers babysitting while parents eat. When staff were available, they were very engaged with the kids and organized small activities that kept them entertained. Unfortunately, there was not always someone available to watch the children there either. Overall, the pool activities were great, but the kids club could really improve by adding more toys, extended hours, structured activities, and more attentive staff so parents can feel comfortable leaving their kids there.

Our stay at Grand Palladium Select Bávaro was unfortunately a big disappointment. The hotel grounds themselves are beautiful and well maintained, but the rooms are in very poor condition. They feel worn out, poorly maintained and in some cases defective. Even the supposedly newer and more expensive rooms have serious issues. In our case, for example, the hot water in the bathtub didn’t work, which made the advertised jacuzzi completely useless. What was even more frustrating was how the hotel handled our complaint. We asked several times to change rooms because the condition of the room was simply not acceptable. Even after multiple requests and a complaint to management, nothing was done. Only on the last day of our trip were we finally given another room – which of course was practically pointless at that stage. The overall service is weak. Problems are often ignored or only addressed after repeated requests, and even then usually in a half-hearted way. We also repeatedly had the impression that Spanish-speaking guests were treated preferentially, while other guests received noticeably less attention. The food was also disappointing. The quality was mediocre and many dishes were sometimes even served cold. For a resort in this price category, the value for money is simply not acceptable. We would definitely not stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel in the Dominican Republic and truly felt taken care of from beginning to end. A special thank you goes to our butler, Rafael, who was absolutely exceptional. He helped us with everything imaginable; restaurant reservations, taxis, in-room issues, and even arranging a doctor when needed. He was always available, professional, and genuinely caring. Rafael truly made our stay stress-free and memorable. He was the best! We would also like to praise Eileen at the reception. Her beautiful smile and positive attitude made every interaction pleasant, and she handled every request with efficiency and kindness. The Family Selection experience was excellent. The kids’ activities at the pool were amazing and kept our children entertained and happy every day. The beach was beautiful, clean, and perfect for relaxing as a family. The bellboys with the buggies were always available and very helpful, making it easy to get around the resort at any time. The only thing we didn’t really like was the food, which did not meet our expectations compared to the rest of the experience. Overall, this hotel exceeded our expectations thanks to the outstanding staff, and we would recommend it for families looking for a great vacation.
