We visited the Grand Palladium prior to the pandemic and it was one big resort, now the different areas have been divided into separate resorts. You may or may not have access to all amenities at each one depending on where you are staying. Overall though the resort was very lovely, very well maintained, the staff so helpful and gracious. Our room was very nice and very clean. The food in the main buffet at the Colonial resort was very good, and the service always excellent. There was a huge variety of everything there and all well prepared. Henry at the El Dorado was excellent, he was very helpful in providing us with a description of the menu items and was very attentive, the food was well prepared and very tasty. On our second visit to the El Dorado Jorge was very helpful and provided us with great service, he was friendly and warm. The steaks were all excellent, the sides were all great, the soups were too but the salmon was very dry. The Argentinian restaurant was exceptional, and the Japanese restaurant was quite good. I regret that we didn’t note the waiters names. We were disappointed with the Mexican restaurant as the lamb was in fact beef and so dry it was inedible, the chicken mole sauce was tasty, but again the chicken was very dry. The waiter dismissed our comments and tried to sell us very aggressively on buying a bottle of wine for the table. Unfortunately during most of our stay the weather was quite cool with a chilly wind. The ocean at the time was quite cool as well but ok for a quick dip. What was in the resorts control though were the pools, the main pool wasn’t heated and so cold no one was going in. While the weather warmed up a bit near the end of our stay, other guests who were leaving before us told us they were disappointed that they couldn’t at least enjoy the pool.

We had an amazing stay at this resort in Mexico. Everything was well organized, clean, and relaxing, but what truly made our experience unforgettable was the outstanding service from the staff. All the staff members ( Angel and Geremias) were incredibly kind, respectful, and always willing to help with a smile. From housekeeping to the restaurant team and front desk, everyone went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Their positive attitude and attention to detail made a big difference in our stay. The resort atmosphere was peaceful and enjoyable, and thanks to the hardworking and friendly staff, we felt truly cared for throughout our visit. We highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation with excellent service. We would definitely love to come back!

I went here in April 2025 for a wedding and couldn't be happier to have stayed at this hotel! I only spent four days there but they offered so much included with the all inclusive package. I enjoyed fitness class both in and out of the pool, a dance night with local djs and tons of pools near the beach to relax. On hotel grounds they coatis, iguanas, Mexican agoutia and local cat that loves attention. Unfortunately, due to weather I was unable to do any scuba diving or other water activities. I would love to come back again to experience more that cancun has to offer. It's a perfect place to stay with your family or couples vacation. Truly an amazing experience!

We stayed at Grand Palladium Family Selection resort for 4 nights in early March 2026 with our two kids (ages 3 and 5), and overall it was an incredible experience for families with younger children. Rooms: Check-in area had snacks and a play area for the kids. The property was a beautiful mix of nature and well-maintained paths and buildings. Our villa was fairly new, and the swim-up pool was great for calmer time back at the room. I want the shower, tub, and hair drying for my house! Everything we asked for on their Wish List was there when we arrived (step stool, baby monitor, extra blanket). The butlers were so helpful, both in-person and through WhatsApp every day - shoutout to Kiyoshi & Maximiliano in Villa 50 for great service! Activities: The kids’ activities were excellent, with things to do every hour at the pools, kids club, juniors club, and buffet kids area (treasure hunts, princess hours, crafts, special pool toys, cookie decorating, etc.). The staff went out of their way to make it fun for the kids and relaxing for the parents. Everyone was helpful, and Emma went out of her way to make activities extra fun for my kids! They also offer babysitting services for an extra charge, and Lore was the perfect calm, collected presence to cover bedtime while we enjoyed an adults-only dinner. Pools: The main pool at the Colonial was really deep (5.3 ft), so we brought floaties. We thought the kids would like the water slide pool best, but they actually spent the most time at the private Family Selection pool. The pool had lots of toys and floaties provided, and there was a small playground to the side. The food at the Family Selection pool was some of the best we had all week - Maria & Lizabeth were great servers, and they were really sweet to cater to my kids’ silly requests and teach my kids Spanish! I cannot thank our Pool Butler, Israel, enough. When he found out it was my son’s birthday, he arranged a cabana (bani) with a banner, balloons, and cake as a surprise for him! Beach: The beach was the only disappointment, which was out of the resort’s control. The sargassum (seaweed) was so bad that you had to wade through feet of it to get to the water, and the smell was bad. They tried clearing it each day, but it was still too plentiful to go in the water. Restaurants: The Nest buffet/restaurant had a fully-staffed kids play area!!! After my kids ate, they could play and do crafts while the adults ate in peace. We really enjoyed The Nest (family indoor buffet/a la carte), El Gran Azul (open-air buffet), Poseidon (open-air seafood à la carte), El Dorado (steakhouse), La Boheme (French), La Paisana (Argentine), the Family Selection pool restaurant, and the Sand Bar (beach bar). If you like steak rare, learn to order it in Spanish and expect it still might be overcooked. We didn’t enjoy the Las Olas (beach buffet - limited options, mostly fried food), swim-up bar (very deep around it, no shade), or the Raggs breakfast at La Adelita (limited options, food was overcooked and unseasoned, slow service). Overall, I highly recommend Grand Palladium Family Selection for anyone looking for a family-friendly all-inclusive resort.

Beautiful resort! The main spaces are well maintained, clean, and great for seating. The rooms need help however. We requested ocean view and to be by our friends and didn’t get either. The rooms also are pretty dated and everything seems pretty run down, the furniture, the bathroom looks to maybe have mould, the chain to lock the door needed to be replaced because it couldn’t even reach the door to lock it, and we had to request our phone be fixed because we couldn’t make calls. Lastly, every time you shower it leaks ALL out of the shower. The food is pretty good though! We ate at a La Adelita one night and Juan was absolutely fantastic. So sweet and was great to us. The beach is not so great but the pools and restaurants have been great. Overall stay has been great though!
