We stayed for 7 nights B&B as the hotel is within a 15 min walk to the harbour. Along the way there are plenty of bars and restaurants. The walk to the local beach takes about 5 min again you pass a couple of good restaurants. Our room at the hotel was referred to as a "Junior Suite" which we found to be very modern and spacious. The kingsized bed was firm and very comfortable and we both slept well! The standard of cleanliness was high in our room and throughout the hotel. We only used the restaurant here for breakfast which was excellent. The warm buffet items (bacon,sausages fried eggs) are constantly topped up so always fresh from the kitchen. There were numerous cold items on offer including honey fresh from the comb. All in all this was one our best hotel stays and we would definitely return and recommend to others.

We have just had a wonderful week at this hotel. The location was superb and although the hotel is right in the middle of everything it was at the same time very quiet. Everything was very clean and well maintained. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. In particular the restaurant staff took extra care as I am lactose intolerant, I really felt they were looking after me. The food was very good, with a good range of choices on the buffets and for the main course. As well as enjoyable and tasty we were able to eat healthy, local options. This was our first time at this hotel, it may not be our last. We wished we had booked for longer than a week.

We stayed for 13 nights, on the breakfast only plan. This allowed us to enjoy the local restaurants for our other meals; but you could still pay to eat dinner here. There are literally dozens and dozens of restaurants, pubs and cafes within walking distance. A great Italian place is literally right across the street. You are also 2 minutes from the beach, and the beach front promenade to take you up and down the shore in both directions. The breakfast here is a buffet and it offered lots of choice, both hot and cold. We were firstly in room 125 and the Irish pub(s) directly behind the hotel play loud music daily from 830 pm to 1130pm. So, unless you are going to be out in the many, many pubs enjoying yourself, you may wish to ask for a room 'away from the pub music'. We were moved with no questions asked to room 128 and it was very quiet. The rooms have balconies and you can also sleep with the window open or air conditioning. The front desk staff are warm and welcoming. This was a perfect location for us as first timers to the Island. Many of the other guests around the pool have been coming here for years!

Outstanding hotel. Breakfast and all meals were a great standard and selection. Rooms clean and bed very comfortable. Location ideal for night life shops and beach but very quiet for sleeping. Thank you to all staff for making our stay pleasant

This was our 2nd stay here after such a great visit last year and we are already looking to book again next year. Firstly, as an adult only hotel it gives us a really quiet and relaxing stay. It is clean and the hotel staff are all really friendly and attentive. Even got a little note and chocolates in our room on arrival welcoming us back. The buffet breakfast has a great variety of hot and cold options although if I have one complaint it is that on occasions the 'hot' food can be luke warm but still tasty and edible. The hotel is in a great location with the beach, many bars and restaurants and a fairly decent supermarket all within a couple of minutes. The centres busy bar area and other restaurants are only a couple of minutes further offering a pleasant evening walk either along the main street or by the sea. Despite having mainly English or Irish bars right on top of the hotel, which we dont mind and was great to be able to watch our football team in the play offs!, the rooms are very quiet although as previously stated we do go in April/May rather than peak season so dont know what it is like in the main summer season. Also, and again possibly due to the timing of our visit, getting sunbeds was never a problem at any time during the day so thankfully no dawn dash required!! All in all a very enjoyable stay at Ocean Dunas and we will be back next year!
