(December 2025 Stay) I recently enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Hyatt Vivid Grand Island Cancun and was highly impressed. This resort, which is still very new (about 1.5 years old), offers a truly ultra-modern and sophisticated experience. ✅ The Highlights (Pros) * Exceptional Dining Quality: For an all-inclusive, the food truly stood out. The options were all delicious, and it was a pleasant surprise to find such great-tasting dishes. * Non-Stop Entertainment: From day to night, the resort provides a lot of entertainment options. There was always something engaging happening to keep the atmosphere lively. * Outstanding Service: The service from the staff was impeccable. Every interaction was pleasant, and the team was attentive and helpful. * Immaculate Rooms: The rooms were very clean and comfortable, reflecting the newness of the resort. * Great Beach Club: The beach club is excellent, offering a beautiful spot to relax (pro-tip: be sure to get there early to snag a prime spot!). 🥳 Staff Shout-Outs! A huge thank you to the incredible staff who made our stay special. They truly exemplify great service: * Patricio (Pool Side Waiter): Always attentive and quick with a smile by the pool. * Taylor & Rebecca (Entertainment Crew): Kept the energy high and the activities fun! * Eduardo (Swim-Up Bar, Bartender): Crafted excellent drinks and provided great service at the bar. * Danny (HUB Bartender): A fantastic bartender at the HUB, always friendly and fast. * Olivier (Ceviche Waiter): Provided wonderful service during our meal at the Ceviche spot. * Chef Daniel (Ceviche Chef): His food was absolutely delicious—a true highlight of the dining experience! ⚠️ Areas for Improvement (Cons) * Dinner Restaurant Availability: For guests not in the Vantage Club, only four main restaurants plus the taco truck were open for dinner. I found this a little misleading compared to what was advertised. * Limited Lunch Options: The only substantial lunch option available was the buffet. I wish the other restaurants had been an option during the daytime. * Resort Size & Construction: The resort felt a little small, as parts of the property are still under construction. * Nightlife Repetition: While the nightly events were fun, the DJ sets seemed to use the same playlist repeatedly, which made the nightlife a bit predictable after a couple of nights. 📝 Final Thoughts Despite a few minor issues with dining options and the nightly music, the Hyatt Vivid Grand Island Cancun is a stunning, high-quality resort that I would definitely recommend. The exceptional food quality, brand-new facilities, and superior service—driven by the amazing staff mentioned above—make it a great choice for a modern all-inclusive experience in Cancun.

We booked here after looking off and on for a couples quick getaway. The resort is conveniently located from the airport, and overlooks either the bay or golf course. The shuttle to the beach is a short 8-10 minute drive and looks like a postcard perfect landscape. The food will not drop your jaw but Aglio had several consistent great Italian plates. The drinks are what you would expect. Be specific in what you want. Staff across the entire resort is very kind and observant. They are most welcoming in all aspects and made this a place we will certainly plan to return to.

Stayed 2 days 1 night before an evening flight the next day. The rooms are excellent. And view views from the upper floor room we had was great. The check-in experience wasn't particularly friendly or welcoming. The pools on the ground floor were always VERY loud and busy. It's not relaxing or tranquil. The music is like club music, and if you're stood in the lobby you can't hold a conversation. It would be better if it was the same music they play at the beach club which is more chill. Fortunately we had access to the terrace pool on the roof which is both quieter and more relaxing. Note, the roof terrace is only open to 'vantage club's members or if you pay extra. This wasn't obvious on booking.com when we booked, we complained, and we were given access. The food was very good at the roof restaurant and also the cervice restaurant. The beach club was very good and not too busy when we went. It's a shame you can only access it by shuttle. As the crow flies it's not very far but there is no way of walking directly through the golf course, you would have to walk 40 minutes round. Other than our check in experience all the staff were very friendly. The $200 spending credit you get is split $100 per person and limited. We had $10 on wine, $50 on spa treatments and $40 on a 'romantic dinner', effectively asking you to 'pay to save'. We did not use any of the credits. Would recommend if you have access to the roof pool. Otherwise it's not a particularly relaxing experience.

spent 7 nights in late November as a couple in our early 30’s. We’ve stayed at other all-inclusives before, and this was our first time at a Hyatt AI property. We really enjoyed our stay. The resort is beautiful, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the food was good quality, and the staff are attentive and fun. We had a great time poolside most days we were here and never had an issue finding a chair. Our server Oliver made our time at the pool wonderful- he was very attentive and kept our glasses full and our hunger tamed every day. The Vivid 1 pool is heated, perfect for a morning or evening swim or a windy or overcast day. The Vivid 2 pool is not but felt great after being out in the hot sun. The rooftop pool (Vantage only) was definitely the coldest pool, but we still didn’t have any issue with the temp with us being in the sun all day. The rooftop was nice for a calmer, more serene vibe- but we actually preferred hanging out around the main pools downstairs. We did the beach club 2 days we were there. The shuttle is hot and stuffy, but it is only 10 minutes (half the drive is just getting off the property). The beach club property itself is gorgeous and the sand is prestine. They deliver your drinks and food right to your beach chair- the poke nachos are the perfect beach snack! The water was a good temperature and the waves were fun (it was a yellow flag day most days we were there). The beach club IS in high-demand and the only place we had trouble getting a chair, so recommend getting there in the morning and making a day of it. The activities schedule has something every hour of the day, from health and wellness activities like sound healing, pickleball, and yoga/pilates to fun activities like wine tasting, music trivia, and poolside games/challenges. Rebecca, Angel, Orlando, Caesar and the entire entertainment crew do a great job of keeping guests engaged and having a good time. We thought the food at the resort was good quality and on-par with other resorts we’ve been to. The international buffet has a great mix of food every day for breakfast and lunch and always had something we liked. The rooftop breakfast (Vantage only) was a nice touch. The welcome mimosa was a nice touch and The Croque Madame was as good as the views! The ceviche restaurant by the main pool is a must-try, it was so so good and a great afternoon snack. Oishi (Japanese) was our favorite- the Yakimeshi, mixed teppanyaki and sushi were delicious with the fried banana spring roll dessert. We really enjoyed the portobello carpaccio, Cacio e pepe, and penne from Aglio (Italian). Mediterraneo had really good Kofta and Shawarma as well as Khachapuri. Dalia (Mexican) had a tasty catch of the day and Nayarit-Style Fish Tostadas. The sweet corn cream soup and northern-style beef were good comfort food. Overall the food hit the spot and we always were able to find something we liked. It met our expectations for resort food and exceeded it in some areas. They do a good job with their options and menus- I do wish there were more late-night options though. We really enjoyed the time we spent at this resort, the people we met and the experiences we shared were fantastic. We found this resort to be a great value and would stay here again.

We stayed here Tuesday to Sunday for context. This was a very dirty resort. Band aids, hair nets, sugar packets… you name it we found it in the pools. Along with the constant construction filth floating in the roof top pool. To add to the fury, the cleaning supplies they used to wash the balcony drifted into the 1st floor pool as guests were in the pool. I know this because I got hit by the soap scum. There are only 4 restaurants open for dinner. The food was left to be desired, almost inedible at times. The hours of operation don’t make sense and we were forced to wait an hour for room service. We could not eat the food at the Japanese restaurant because my chicken was pink. We tried to get into the Mediterranean restaurant (which was empty at the time) and turned away. We wasted our hard earned money and valuable paid time off (that I don’t get much of) to go here. The only saving grace at this resort is the wait staff and bartenders. They were very quick to ensure we had a full glass or whatever we needed, aside from the hostess at the Mediterranean restaurant. The noise from the live music on the deck below carried to our room on the 12th floor until very late. There is no sound proofing on the rooms. We did not sleep at all during this trip due to noisy guests in the hall, music outside and uncomfortable bedding. The beach club bus is also inconvenient and we waited several trips to even arrive at the club. We will not be recommending or returning and I am very disappointed.
