Absolutely loved our family week at Hyatt Ziva. The ocean water is beautifully calm, warm and shallow to the barrier. The pools were terrific & deeper than most resort pools. My only complaint was the roof of the swimup bar in main pool was being re-tarred and tar was dripped to the bottom of pool...got on several of us and was itchy and uncomfortable. Rooms beautiful...splurged for swim-up/ocean front and didn't regret it! Lots of wonderful activities for our older teens..waterpark was awesome! Didn't have a single bad meal there but appetizers at Bar are definitely not same as American bar appetizers so be open minded. Italian restaurant was a huge hit with our family. Not a party vibe...which I loved....some fun during the day but ready for quiet by 11pm. Private beach was wonderful....I've only ever been at vendor allowed beach so this was extra special. On the expensive side (but so worth it and we did go peak season), so probably a one time only for our family of four...but would definitely consider a trip just the two of us again.

Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana is three hotels situated on the coast in the Dominican Republic catering for all types. We stayed at Cap Cana Secrets, an adults only hotel. On arrival at the hotel you are assigned a concierge wh caters for your every need, booking restaurants, informing you of the daily events, etc. The hotel itself is like a mini paradise ,very verdant with breathtaking ocean views. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Nothing is to much trouble for them There are events on all day throughout the complex, with an evening entertainment show at night. Food is excellent. The breakfast buffet caters for all types of eaters. There are five restaurants, Sushi, Mexican, French, Italian and a steakhouse. To eat inside at the French and Italian restaurants men need to wear long trousers, no shoes - it is worth it This is our first visit to the resort. It won't be our last, such is the welcoming, friendly impression it has on us

This was our fourth year staying at this resort and we have already booked again for next year. We cannot say enough about the amenities and beautiful property! The staff is so friendly and helpful, and many have remembered us from year to year. Deiby, the bartender at Cocoonz, along with the rest of the crew at the club pool, went above and beyond to make every day feel festive and fun. We brought our adult kids this year and Deiby was great, joking around and even teaching them a few Spanish phrases! He also made a special effort one afternoon to find me a pretty plastic wine glass I could take to the beach (because sometimes a fun glass makes all the difference!) We met so many great people from all over during our stay. The cocktail making classes every afternoon were interesting, informative, and a great way to get out of the sun for an hour or so. We also splurged on a spa day and it was totally worth it. The hydrotherapy alone is a treat! We followed up the spa by taking out one of the resort sailboats for some unforgettable family memories. Highly recommend this resort! Lots of ways to enjoy, relax, and unwind in a beautiful tropical paradise.

Second time staying on this property with my family. Perfect for all ages. Clean and safe everywhere. The private Cap Cana access makes this unique in the area. Deiby, our poolside bartender made it a point to get to know my family and he worked hard to anticipate our needs - exceptional level of service, that came across as genuine and someone having fun with what they do. Would 100% recommend this property.

Such a Great Vibe! We just got back from Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana, and I’m already missing it. The grounds are absolutely beautiful—super lush and perfectly kept. Family Fun Our 12 year old twins had the best time ever. While the waterpark was a top spot for them, they were honestly just as obsessed with the rest of the resort. A huge highlight for them was the non-alcoholic drinks—the staff made them feel so special with these fancy, delicious mocktails that they couldn't get enough of! Amazing People & Eats The service and the people who work here are amazing. Everyone is so friendly and genuinely seems happy to help. The food is a total win, too. Usually, all-inclusive food can be hit or miss, but here it’s above average to great. I especially appreciated the buffet setup where the food is served from behind glass—it felt much cleaner and more premium. A Couple of Downsides No place is 100% perfect, so a couple of things to keep in mind: the pools aren't heated, so they can feel a bit chilly when you first jump in. Let's at least get the club pool heated. Also, while most of the food was awesome, the chicken fingers weren't very good—a bit of a bummer for the kids, but there were so many other great options they didn't mind too much. The Club Upgrade One tip: I would say Club Access isn't necessary because the resort is already so high-quality. But, we did the upgrade and met Keiber in the Club Lounge, and he totally made it worth it. He’s an incredible bartender and such a great person—he really made our trip feel extra special. Next trip we will do Club again just to see him. If you’re looking for a spot that’s great for both kids and adults, this is it!
