This resort is absolutely amazing! The entire property was exceptionally clean, and the level of customer service truly exceeded our expectations. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and eager to help, and the bartenders were especially personable and attentive. One thing that really stood out was how well maintained the resort was. No matter where we walked, we never saw trash or areas that looked neglected. The grounds were beautiful, and it was clear that great care is taken to keep everything in excellent condition. The restaurants offered a wide variety of options, and the food was consistently good. There was something for everyone, making it easy to find meals that our whole family enjoyed. The resort itself is quite large, so it takes a couple of days to learn your way around, but that's because there is so much to do. For families with children, this place is outstanding. Every evening there was entertainment, whether it was a performance in the theater or an event on the beach. Some of our favorites included an incredible fire show and a night of theme songs and family-friendly entertainment. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would return in a heartbeat. If you're looking for a beautiful, well-maintained resort with excellent service and plenty of activities for both adults and kids, this is the place to be. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

A couple of years ago, I visited the one in Punta de Mita. That one was top-tier, which is why I decided to come back, but now to this location. However, I'm confused because one day everything was perfect and the next day everything was just meh—especially the food and drinks. Even when you are eating and drinking at the same bar/restaurant, the inconsistencies were huge. What was very good was the service at the pool bar; those guys were literally running to keep everyone happy. The others who stood out above everything else were the animation team. Those guys kept everyone playing, involved, and giving their best. A special mention goes to Valentín—this guy was so attentive to everyone, organizing activities, cheering, and always smiling. In general, my experience was good, but the inconsistencies with the drinks and food at the restaurants and bars were disappointing. Another thing we noticed was that the à la carte restaurants were mostly running with half their tables full, and even with that, the service was somehow still slow. Be careful at check-in or around the lobby—they will approach you asking to do a quick "survey" , but it’s actually a trap to get you into a 3-hour sales presentation trying to sell you a membership or timeshare. The property is beautiful and huge, so if you are not good with walking, think twice before booking because you'll be doing a lot of it.

The resort entertainment was excellent! Franco kept everyone engaged and he connected so well with the crowd. His energy was contagious - the foam party was ridiculously fun! Franco spent time with our family also - super friendly host! He’s a valuable asset to the Iberostar Parasoo Lindo resort - makes the guests experiences an unforgettable vacation!

Last year my partner and I stayed at Beach/Del Mar but this year we decided to treat ourself a little bit extra and went ahead and booked Maya. We absolutely loved Beach/Del Mar but Maya absolutely blew us away. Right when you walk into the lobby you'll notice they diffuse an incredible fragrance into the air. Check in was relatively quick and we were brought to our room via golf cart. The driver wouldn't even let us touch our bags and sent us up to our room and brought our bags up for us. The room was clean and very large. It was well taken care of while we were there. We noticed our bath tub was missing the plug but we let a concierge know and he made a note of us and the next day they put one in our room for us. The food was incredible. We ate at La Geisha, El Rancho, La Marina, L'Etoile, and Olivetti. I only had one issue with my meal at La Marina but they were quick to fix me a new plate which was perfect. All of the staff were great, the bartenders were awesome. Our favorite thing to do was to go to the bar and ask the bartender to surprise us with a drink and every time we were pleasantly surprised. The bartenders had a lot of fun making us surprise drinks! Maya guests get a free hour at the hydrotherapy spa every day so my partner and I booked that with a concierge and. I had been having some discomfort in my legs prior to going and the hydrotherapy helped so much. We were both so relaxed after that we were almost ready to take a poolside nap after. We only had one issue and it was with the very first concierge we had right after checking in. He was pushy about the welcome breakfast even after we said no multiple times. He seemed super nice when we were first greeted by him but then once we told him we weren't interested in the welcome breakfast his demeanor changed and he seemed cold towards us. We asked him about booking us for dinner and he checked la geisha first as it's the most popular and said there were no slots open for it at all and started to lean into pushing the welcome breakfast on us again and we just asked him to check the steakhouse instead and he said they had an opening and we asked him to book that for us. The next day I went to check the app to see if la geisha had any new spots open and it had multiple but wouldn't let me book any and then I discovered that the reason we couldn't book it was because we already had a reservation for it. instead of booking us into the steakhouse like we asked, the concierge booked us into la geisha which was confusing since he said there were no spots open for it. I checked the other restaurants that required reservations and they had multiple spots open. I have a feeling he was trying to leverage lack of availability to try to force us to go to the breakfast to get a reservation. Every other concierge we dealt with was amazing and so helpful and respected us when we said we weren't interested in the welcome breakfast. I have heard from other guests that their concierge would refuse to give them reservations at restaurants unless they agreed to go to the welcome breakfast so I'd recommend just booking your own reservations on the app. Despite our issue with the first concierge we had I'd recommend any of this resorts tiers. We had a great time and are looking forward to coming back in the future.

TL:DR - Had a great time at the Maya resort. Service was superb, food was decent but a bit lacking in the sit-down experiences in regards to food quality. Pools were refreshing and beach/pool bar service was great. Wish the entertainment were more Mexico/culture themed vs circus or Addams family, etc. Price gouging onsite was excessive. The rest of the story -- This was our second time ever going to Mexico and the first time to this area/region. On our first trip, we stayed on a much smaller resort, so this was quite a switch, because the Iberostar Paraiso Maya + adjoining resorts is HUGE. Although there were trams, we opted to walk most places and we averaged 18k-20k steps/day. The service was absolutely tremendous. Everyone seemed to go out of their way to make our stay enjoyable... just the little things... nearly every worker would say hi/hola as we passed in the hallways... from the landscapers and housekeepers to the concierge staff. The meals were on point. I will say that, overall, we preferred the buffets options vs the sit-down options. We did 4 sit-down meals during our stay -- L'Etoile (French - first come, first served), La Marina (Seafood - first come, first served), Olivetti (Italian - reservations required), La Geisha (hibachi Japanese - reservations required). Of those, I would say La Geisha was our favorite. The other options were good, but overall fell a bit short. The steaks were often undercooked related to request -- Ie: we would order as medium-well, but steak would be cooked as Medium or Medium rare. The rooms (Maya Junior Suite) were great and stayed very cool during the day with 2 ceiling fans and A/C. The pools were great and bar service was on point. The beach was overtaken by sargassum during our stay, but staff worked hard to try to clean it up, but it was just coming in such great quantities to stay ahead of. Nonetheless, the beach was fun to sit at and relax. Only 2 criticisms to address -- 1) I would make was that the entertainment was sometimes lacking for cultural appeal. There was entertainment every night in the main theater, but of the 5 nights we were there, only one was more of a cultural experience. The others were a Circus-theme, Addams Groove Experience. Those ones were, at best, ok. But we did thoroughly enjoy the Mexico-themed performance. 2) The price-gouging in the onsite shops is extreme. A few examples : $45+ usd for a bottle of regular-sized, Banana Boat sunscreen spray. $50+ usd for a cheapo, waterproof phone pouch, $30+ usd for pepto-bismol
