What a hotel! Amazing resort with a lot of things to offer. The service and the staff are great. Always helpful and make your day special. They have multiple restaurants, each with a different theme. You can go to the different restaurants and never eat the same thing twice. A big thanks to Abisag and Janire who took great care of us! We will definately come back.

Alan from entertainment has been absoutely phenomenal. Last year we came and had a fabulous time so we decided to come back to this resort but bring my daughter. She is a shy individual but she met Alan and she has come out of her shell and done so many activities. Alan has been encouraging her to try different activities day and evening and the pure smile of her coming out of her comfort level has been such a highlight of our vacation. His positive energy has been an asset to the resort amongst other highlights of our vacation.

First time at an all inclusive resort for myself and friends. We would recommend this property to anyone looking! Beautiful location, good food and nice staff. Huge shoutout to Alan, Abi and Cesar! Thank you for all of your help and kindness. Giving 4 stars instead of 5 because the $300 credit was unclear on how it was split up, as well as how to utilize the 1 hour provided activities.

We stayed 4 nights at the end of January in a standard room, and Iberostar Waves Tucan gave us an experience that can best be described as… memorable, though not always in the way the brochure suggests. Let’s start with the highlight: The hotel complex itself is genuinely beautiful. It feels like living in a jungle, complete with animals casually roaming around as if they’re part of the all-inclusive package. The beach is excellent, clean, well maintained, with a stunning sunrise that almost makes you forget everything else. Yes, the upper part of the beach near the hotel is a bit rocky, but that’s nature, and nature, unlike some other things here, does not try to relocate your belongings. Which brings me to the most surprising “service feature” of our stay. Two items of clothing (women’s sports tops) mysteriously disappeared from our room after cleaning. When we confronted the cleaning staff the next day, the items were returned with the explanation that they were “mistaken for their cleaning rags.” Other guests strongly advised us not to report this to local management, warning us that doing so might make the rest of our stay noticeably less pleasant. Instead, we were told to mention it in the hotel chain’s official survey (which we did) and to warn future guests in reviews. Helpful tip for future visitors: Please lock everything in the safe. Passport, valuables, electronics… and yes, apparently even your clothes. If it fits in the safe, it belongs in the safe. Now, to balance things out, because balance is important: The buffet restaurant staff were outstanding. Truly. Always friendly, attentive, courteous, and in a good mood. They were easily the most consistently positive part of the entire experience and deserve genuine praise. The food itself, however, was… fine. Not terrible, not great. We’ve eaten much better elsewhere, but we’ve also had worse. It’s food. It does the job. No emotional attachment formed. Conclusion: A beautiful setting, great beach, lovely animals, and excellent buffet staff, paired with a housekeeping experience that made us feel like we were participating in an unintended social experiment. Three stars, because the place has real potential, but potential alone doesn’t keep your wardrobe where you left it.
