Live Aqua Punta Cana

This was our third stay at Live Aqua Punta Cana, and overall, we had a wonderful vacation. The resort is beautiful, the rooms are comfortable and well-maintained, and the staff consistently provides outstanding service. A special thank you to our butler, David, who was responsive, helpful, and attentive without ever being intrusive. We would also like to recognize Angelo at the beach bar and the waiters' team: Salvador, Luis, Yairis, and Erianny for their exceptional hospitality. They helped make our stay truly enjoyable. The food was generally very good, and we especially enjoyed the special cocktails created for Live Aqua's 20th anniversary. Sospiro was one of our favorites. While the French restaurant was not quite as good as we remembered from our previous visits, we still found plenty of excellent dining options throughout the resort. There were a few minor issues during our stay, but they were quickly addressed and did not significantly impact our experience. As returning guests, we also missed the VIP beach bar that we enjoyed during previous visits. Despite these small issues, the service, atmosphere, and overall experience were excellent. We look forward to returning in the future.

10/10 recommend! We had a great experience with amazing food, good vibes, and excellent service. The staff went above and beyond to make each day better than the last. Everyone was attentive and engaged, especially Joel and Willy by the pool, and Nancy and Maria at the sports bar, just to name a few. Housekeeping also exceeded our expectations. My only complaint is that we didn’t stay longer! We can’t wait to go back. We made memories and friendships that will last a lifetime. It was truly a one-of-a-kind experience.

I stayed at this resort for seven days at the end of August 2026. While I enjoyed the clean pools, jacuzzi, comfortable sunbeds, beach towels, spacious gym, and a few genuinely attentive staff members, the overall experience did not meet luxury-resort standards. Food quality was inconsistent and generally below expectations. Breakfast varied from decent to dry and poorly prepared, with overcooked asparagus, questionable fruit, dry bread, and terrible coffee. The beach restaurant was probably the best lunch option, though service was average. The Italian restaurant was the only consistently decent dinner choice but was closed on some nights. The French restaurant was bland, and the Japanese restaurant was inconsistent, including sashimi that did not seem fresh. Service was mostly slow, inattentive, and sometimes unfriendly. We experienced missing orders, poor communication, dismissive attitudes, and alcohol served in a drink requested without alcohol. Staff frequently gathered to chat while guests waited. During the day, finding drinking water was also unnecessarily difficult. There were several uncomfortable or concerning incidents. A resort contact person questioned us in a way that felt more like an interrogation. At the gym, workers began painting with lacquer without warning, forcing me to leave because of the fumes. Heavy rain caused extensive flooding around the property, including the beach café, pools, grounds, and some first-floor rooms. Drainage appeared inadequate. Landscaping looked overgrown in places, and dirty mops left unpleasant smells in hallways and elevators. Housekeeping was acceptable, but minibar and snack replenishment was inconsistent. The room felt worn, with loose fixtures, unreliable lighting controls, and a balcony door that did not lock. The open bathroom layout also offered very little privacy. The resort has potential, but the combination of poor service, inconsistent food, maintenance issues, flooding, and limited water accessibility made the stay disappointing for a property presenting itself as luxury.

The resort is spectacular! The facilities, the grounds and the rooms are impeccable. The room was extremely well kept, very comfortable, everything was new. My favourite was the breakfast buffet, so much variety and no long lines. I also liked that they serve breakfast until 11:30. The pools are very nice, lots of seating and great service around. They have a great sports bar and coffee shop as well. All the food was very good, great choice of restaurants. They also have a very nice spa. Lots of activities if you are interested, from Zumba to Spanish lessons.

Came here back in December and it was great! We got a room with a pool on the balcony (not swim up) and was shocked at how spacious and nice it was. The resort has a ton of pools and the beach area has plenty of cabanas. Only reason for 4 stars was because of food. There were a ton of options for all meals, but the food was average at best. The queso at the Mexican restaurant, ATL, is something you’d find at a ballpark or stadium. Overall, it is a beautiful property!
