We just got back from staying at this wonderful hotel. The location, staff and hotel itself is very clean. The staff are very friendly and always there if needed anything. The staff at the reception are very helpful too if need any information on how to get to places. There were some days when we wanted vegetarian soup and they prepared for my family. At night they would also provide milk for my child and didnt charge. I would recommend this hotel for anyone visiting puerto de la cruz. Please ignore the negative reviews and would recommend your stay here. A big thank you to all the staff & management of the hotel. Will surely return to stay at the same place. Excellent! Keep it up.

Lovely hotel - clean, well equipped, beautiful, good location. The pool was really nice & you could get food & drinks poolside. Entertainment on in the lobby of the hotel of an evening which was always pleasant. Breakfast was lovely. Loved getting a massage in the spa. Reception staff were so helpful. Room was nice. Would definitely recommend and go back.

Superb location with excellent amenities for all. Sensible and calm environment with great multi cultural atmosphere. Half board worth it as food variety and quality excellent and superb breakfast. Look no further. Sea view room upgrade worth the funds. North facing so in the shade and excellent views, with great temperatures. Great Turkish spa and facilities in the glass roof top - you do pay extra but worth it. Consider booking directly to earn loyalty points. Rooms well equipped and excellent balconies. The hotel probably would benefit from soft water treatment to aid lime scale, which is common for hard water. We will be back to stay at this hotel again. Great!

The hotel looks lovely - the design is classy and everything feels pretty polished. Our room too was spotless and had everything you would need. The cleaners did an excellent job. A minor thing was there was no fan in the bathroom so it got a bit steamy and there was water damage at the bottom of the door where the bathroom had flooded. We loved the entertainment too, with an incredible saxophonist on one night. The bar was fab too and drinks were delicious. The food was the main negative. We only had breakfast which was pretty cold and uninspiring. One of the main issues was that nothing was labelled so you had no idea what a lot of it was (e.g. sauces, sandwiches). Looking back at some of the comments I can see this was raised before so not sure why it hasn't been corrected. Things seemed poorly maintained as well, with sauces being mixed together and the fresh honey wall not being replaced the whole time we were there.

Sadly coming to the end of a most enjoyable week at the Melia. Super hotel at a marvellous location. I've never seen such an apetizing amount and range of food on offer... some of which could have been warmer.... so likely to be going home several pounds heavier. All staff are friendly, attentive and efficient. A call must go out though to Valentina who is "lovely". Also to Sara who had spent two years in Ireland so we had something in common. Very happy to recommend this hotel.
