Very nice experience overall. Favourite part was the dining options. High quality food, very broad selection at buffet and plenty of restaurants and kitchens to choose from. Reservations not possible, but they use a buzzer, so you could hang out anywhere in the hotel, while waiting for the table to be guaranteed ready when it paged. If you don't want to wait, the 24/7 all-included in-room dining had a broad selection, though we did not use this. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Most staff were generally friendly and helpful. Preferred Club lounge was a nice place to cool down and enjoy a drink and snack, as well as having the separate concierge desk there. The Preferred Club adults only pool was quiet and relaxing (but closes early) compared to the very active main pool. Water slides were fun, but I did cut my elbow on one of them, in less than four runs. As with most hotels in the Riviera Maya, the Sargassum is there, but not nearly as bothersome as in other places, as this was regularly cleaned. Would generally recommend, especially for foodies.

Great property that feels more intimate than others of the same size. Lots of restaurants and little shops for amusement. Large pool was very nice and had lots of cabana chairs all around. My preference was for the adult pool that was only open until 5pm but it had a deep centre. It was a very warm pool due to its shallow edges. Beach is large and walkable between resorts, however during the heavy seaweed season, it was a struggle for all of the resorts to keep on top of the influx. Be mindful of the season you come. Otherwise, the beach was very nice but with limited bar service. Lots of loungers. If you want to be close to the kids area or main resort area, buildings 1-3 are for you! Otherwise, it's a slightly longer walk afterwards but not crazy. They have rooms with swim up pools facing the beach that were very nice. My room felt newly renovated. VIP club was in another area & inclusive of a bar that you could access with your keycard if you are a member. They have other exclusive access restaurants. Not too far from the airport and it's easy to get uber if you want to explore tourist market in Cancun proper.

We had a lovely week at Dreams Sapphire! The staff were excellent very pleasant, welcoming, and always happy to help. The pool area was amazing, although the music selection could have been a little better. The beach was unfortunately affected by a large amount of seaweed due to the season, which is obviously out of the resort’s control. You could smell it from a distance at times, but the staff did work hard to clean it every morning. Because of this, the water also wasn’t as clear as expected. The food and restaurants were decent overall nothing spectacular, but still enjoyable. This resort is definitely very family-friendly, which is great if that’s what you’re looking for. My only real complaint was that our room wasn’t cleaned during our stay, and sadly we noticed a few critters coming from the drain. Overall, despite a few issues, we still had a great week and enjoyed our stay.

We had a lovely week at Dreams Sapphire! Staff were excellent to deal with, all very pleasant and happy. Pool area was great, although the music could at times be a little too loud. Beach was nice, but a lot of seaweed. They do clean it every morning but the water wasn’t as clear as I was expecting, though I know this is out of the control of the resort. Food was all good, nothing spectacular but certainly good. Restaurants are first come first serve which can sometimes lead to a 1-2 hr wait list time. A lot of children and families were there during our stay so definitely a family friendly place if that’s something you’re looking for. Only complaint is our room didn’t get cleaned until 4:30 pm or later daily which was generally the time we were coming back to the room to relax/shower for dinner Overall we had a great week and we miss Mexico so much!!

The bed situations in the rooms are supposedly just a suggestion when booking. My girlfriend and I paid extra to book an ocean view room with a king bed. When we checked in we were given a room with 2 double beds (even though we booked over 8 months in advance for a wedding). Our only option if we wanted the king bed was to downgrade rooms without any kind of refund for the cheaper option. Two of our guy friends who were sharing a room and booked a room with 2 doubles were given a room with a king bed (different room option so we didn't just switch) because again the bed situation is apparently just a "preference" when booking.
