We traveled as a couple to El Beso. The resort is very family oriented and not what we expected. El Beso was only a small part with a dedicated lunch and bar. The restaurant advertised as being for guests of El Beso was open to everyone including many children. The rooms were large and well equipped, however, they remained on the dirty side for most of our trip. Throughout the resort, the bars are closed early and hard to come by. The restaurants are closed mostly except for the evening. The buffet was okay, our personal favourite was the Margarita restaurant. We found the Steakhouse absolutely horrible with cheap cuts of meat drenched in butter. (I understand this is an all inclusive but this was by far the worst steak I have had) At many points, there would be vendors advertising various things (massages, photos, excursions, etc.) it could get annoying but the vendors were very respectful and not overly pushy. Throughout the resort, there are constantly places or opportunities for guests to “upgrade” we did not use these but they were constantly advertised to us. The El Beso pool was a party pool, constant music and loud people with heavy drinking. Totally okay but the pool is small and most of it taken up by Premium loungers. As most resorts, there is an issue with people reserving chairs for the day and not using them by laying towels or personnal effects. I did not see rules about this and rhe staff did not seem to bother. We spent most of our time looking for loungers or places to put our belongings. We rarely saw these people come back. The drinks were good, bar staff was fun and very responsive. The liquor and beer was bottom shelf unless you were a premium member. The beach is extremely small and at the time we went unswimmable due to algae. Tl;dr good for families. El Beso is definitely not a romantic destination for people looking fkr time away from kids. Food is alright, drinks are alright. Enjoyed our time but we will not return.

We had a lovely dinner at Locanda on the beautiful patio. Our server, Pedro, was great. Very attentive and friendly. The food was delicious and the evening outdoor entertainment was a nice touch. We made a point of coming here twice during our stay. We would definitely return. ¡Gracias, Pedro! #voteforpedro

We went to La Locanda for Italian. I got to enjoy a lovely fruity salad as a starter as well as tomato basil soup which were both divine. For my main dish I had the salmon with black risotto which was excellent. I highly recommend. Alejandro was our server and did an excellent job with being attentive and refilling our drinks which was very helpful;) Polo also did an excellent job. I would highly recommend coming here. Service and food was wonderful.

Ruth 66 XANAT was our mesera she was very attentive, she went above 8n her customer service. She had no problem understanding our orders. She always had a smile on her face even though the restaurant was completely full. Gracias Xanat. Thanx again for the great service. Carlos Escobar was friendly, and was able to seat us almost right away. This was a wonderful dinner. Thank you ladies.

I stayed here for my birthday and absolutely loved this resort. As a single/solo traveler I figured this review might help other singles choose this resort. Although, I normally only go to adult only resorts, I couldn’t help but try this one. I did know going into this vacation that this was a mixed resort meaning kids/families would be here but also knew that there was an adult only area. I was ultimately looking for a low-key very chill vacation so I liked the fact that there wasn’t a ton of music playing all the time at the pool and it was just very serene and relaxing. So if you’re looking for a party spot, this may not be it for during the day, but they do offer a disco at night and so many great activities at night. Anyway, I stayed in El beso (adults only section) which is closer to the beach and I easily had the best room on the resort! I upgraded to privilege during check in and it was worth every penny. I wish I could load the videos of the room that I have but it won’t let me. My room overlooked the ocean and had a Jacuzzi on the rooftop. I was steps away from the beach and the volleyball court. Volleyball is easily my favorite thing to do/play while I’m on vacation and it was really awesome to integrate the kids with adults in the game. We couldn’t play super competitively, but the games were still very challenging and fun! It was great to see the kids learn the game as well. This resort truly has something for everyone! There are endless activities from making bracelets to guacamole classes, karaoke and more. I was shocked at all of the amenities packed into a very walkable size of a resort. Really liked how it is all laid out. I like that this resort caters to multigenerational and would love to bring my extended family with me next time. I felt very safe at this resort, met amazing people, and love the animals that we get to see daily as well. It is really something special to have a monkey sanctuary that you can walk through. The steakhouse was the best restaurant, in my opinion. I ordered a bottle of wine and the next thing I knew the waiter brought over a meat cart and I got to choose my cut of meat that came with the bottle of wine. I don’t know if they run that special all the time but dang was it good! The staff is very accommodating and ultimately wants you to have the best time. The resort is busy and sometimes you do have to duplicate your request, but I really did enjoy my time here. Adrian was my butler and he was great! I normally switch up where I go every year, but I honestly may come back next year for my birthday!
