Beware the hidden fees! I bought a package deal through seaworld and choose this hotel to stay at. "I assumed" the $1800 paid for the 3 night stay and access to the parks was it. I was never told otherwise, not during booking or checking in that there would be a $50 per day hotel resort amenities fee and a $40 per day hotel self parking fee. I found this out 1 week after when I noticed an extra charge from the hotel on my credit card. Both the hotel and seaworld said it is what it is, I should have been made aware, but I had to pay it. As far as the room, nothing special. I have stayed at cheap hotels with nicer rooms. The atrium and tradewinds restaurant were the highlight of this hotel, large area with plenty of space to relax. Tradewinds had a nice breakfast buffet and the staff there was amazing. Location was great, right across the street from Seaworld. If it weren't for the hidden fees I would do that trip again. Out of principle, I won't be back.

First time staying at a SeaWorld hotel and it was.. interesting. Renaissance is located literally directly across the street from the SeaWorld park, so if you’re going there it makes a ton of sense to stay here. Otherwise, it’s not in the best location for an Orlando stay and it’s very expensive for what you get. You have to pay for parking each day if you have a car. Also, the hotel overall is super old, it seems like it needed a desperate remodel/ upgrades about 10 years ago. If you see pictures you’ll get what I mean. Like, they’ve maintained it decently in the common areas but the rooms especially are pretty close to feeling run down, and they’re just kind of ugly. We stayed here for the convenience of having restaurants and things all right at the hotel. Which didn’t turn out to be as convenient as we hoped all the time. Most of the staff was super kind and lovely, but I feel like management was a little sketchy- it seemed like they were afraid of their bosses or something. One night we had wanted pizza, and of course their pizza oven was broken or whatever, so we ordered some to the hotel. We were sitting near the bar area and were told by an employee we couldn’t have outside food in that area, so we were essentially kicked out from there for having outside pizza because their own pizza oven was not running… They have a coffee shop as well which is probably the best part. All of the gals who work there are so kind and sweet. There’s also a pretty impressive workout suite that doesn’t really match the rest of the hotel because it’s way nicer lol. And of course there’s a pool area as well. Security seems to be tight as my family had 2 rooms here, across the hall from each other so we kept our doors lodged unlocked and at one point security called our room to make sure “we were okay” because our door was unlocked. In one vein I was glad they were trying to be safe and stuff but in the other it felt creepy and almost like a violation that we were being watched that closely. The way the hotel is set up there’s a huge courtyard area and all the rooms wrap around that. Our room had a tiny balcony that opened up to the courtyard and it was so loud it sounded like there was a theme park outside of our windows. So if you stay here, try to get a room that faces the actual outside of the hotel, not inside to the courtyard. So yeah, overall it was a fine experience but definitely not the best hotel, from the atmosphere to quality and affordability. Probably wouldn’t stay again.

I stayed at the Renaissance SeaWorld hotel back in 2018 (pre-COVID) and had a very positive experience. At the time, I was impressed by the beautiful building, friendly staff, high quality of service, and overall amenities. Unfortunately, returning this year with my family during winter break was a completely different—and very disappointing—experience. The property now feels poorly maintained. The rooms had smelly carpets, bathrooms were old and outdated, and overall cleanliness was far below expectations for a Renaissance hotel. On top of that, several staff members were rude and unhelpful, which was surprising given my previous experience and the brand standards. We were charged a resort fee for a non-heated water park, but the water was ice cold and unusable for kids during winter. We were also surprised by an extra $50 per night fee for connected rooms, which felt excessive. Most disappointing was the complete disregard for Marriott Bonvoy loyalty—staff explicitly stated that “no matter what tier you are in with Marriott,” it made no difference. This is simply not the same hotel it used to be. Our stay was frustrating from start to finish, and unfortunately, we will not consider returning. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, as this property has clearly declined significantly over the years.

I am extremely disappointed with my recent stay at this property. I was offered an upgrade at check-in which I declined because my company has a per night maximum. The front desk agent continued to offer me an upgrade, which I declined several times She even told me that resort fees would not be applied. I had stayed here earlier in October and knew what the usual charges were, so I made it clear that if all those fees and taxes were added, my total would exceed my company’s nightly limit. When I checked out, my final bill showed both the upgrade and the resort fees — putting me well over my company’s limit. When I raised this issue with management, I felt dismissed and disbelieved. I also requested a call from upper leadership, which was never returned. Beyond the billing issues, the overall stay experience was poor. My first night, I had no hot water. All day Sunday, the entire hotel had no television service, except in the bars. The large bar in the lobby was closed due to “low occupancy.” While I was upgraded to a suite, the sofa was soiled and extremely worn, and the towels in my room the night before checkout were not clean. As a loyal Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite member (soon to be Platinum) who travels often for business, this experience was far below the standards I’ve come to expect from Marriott. I truly hope this property takes steps to improve communication, cleanliness, and guest care moving forward.

Renaissance is a great place to stay if you are heading across the street to SeaWorld. It’s convenient, the atrium is beautifully maintained, and the front desk staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The rooms are pretty basic for what you pay, and quite frankly, the bathrooms are slowly going out of date. The shower especially left much to be desired as it was difficult to find a temperature that was not scalding hot or ice cold. Otherwise, I enjoyed the convenience of the provisions quick bite service cafe in the lobby. All the employees working there were excellent and kind. Parking is somewhat expensive at approximately 45 dollars each day for self-parking. Bluntly, if you are doing parks other than SeaWorld on your trip to Orlando, stay somewhere in between your desired stops - I think this hotel largely only makes sense as a 1 or 2 night stay just for SeaWorld/Discovery Cove. I’d also mention that the pedestrian access to SeaWorld (again across the street) is non existent and we almost opted to take an uber the 100 feet rather than risk our lives getting across the road and parking lot. The hotel could be served by a dedicated crosswalk and walkway into the park.
