Whilst the resort has its positives, there are a lot of negatives if you expect a great 5* service. Positives - Room was nice and spacious. They offered us a free upgrade to a suite - Some of the restaurants are very good. The Turkish was amazing. Rezzak and his team were great. Probably the best Turkish food I’ve had outside of Turkey. We also enjoyed the Italian and Brazilian. People’s restaurant in the day was also great, but service was lacking at times - The beach is great and some staff are very helpful - Cold drinks everywhere and ice cream - Large outdoor TV display for the World Cup which was great but wish there was more seating - Padel court was amazing but balls and rackets were left for us, and nobody there to help with an issue we had. Also had a convenient fridge right there! Negatives - No orientation on arriving, no map. We couldn’t find the restaurants at times and were given the wrong information and sent on a wild goose chase - The rooms were superficially tidied but there was dirt always on the floor in our rooms until specifically requested. The tables at the buffet were not very clean. Glasses and cutlery were dirty, even the napkins - The service was the worst out of any 5* hotel I’ve stayed at. Waiters ignoring you, taking a very long time, forgetting requests, at one time not giving us half the order we had made. Some were very good such as in the Italian and Turkish - Reception never answering the phone! Also a lot of the people at the desk seemed rude and not very welcoming. They did help us with our requests so maybe they are just overworked - So difficult booking restaurants at times and there were lots of empty seats at times which didn’t make sense - Casa Fiesta restaurant was appalling. The waiter forgot half our order and then disappeared. There was no staff around to order our drinks or bring us our food. By the end he said the kitchen had closed and after asking the chef to re open it, we were given freezing cold oily dessert. Horrible service - On the last day, fire alarm blaring that woke us up. Tried to call reception for 5 minutes with no answer I would rate the experience 3/5. The quality is there versus a lot of 5* resorts, in the food, amenities and beach. Sami is the best at Beach Bar 2! He is incredibly friendly, attentive, and provides excellent service. He always makes sure everything is exactly as we like it. The cocktails, especially the Hendrick’s-based ones, are delicious and perfectly prepared. His positive attitude and professionalism made our experience truly enjoyable. Highly recommended!

Overall, the experience was acceptable, but it fell short of expectations given the high price point. The cost is significantly inflated relative to the value provided. While the variety and quantity of food are undeniably extensive, the quality is generally average at best, with only occasional standout items. This creates a noticeable gap between expectation and reality. Cleanliness is adequate to a certain degree; however, there are several observations that indicate room for improvement. With more attention to detail, the overall standard could be elevated considerably. The property itself is exceptionally large, which, while impressive, makes mobility quite exhausting. Moving around often requires waiting for golf carts, which can be inconvenient and time-consuming. As for the staff, many are polite and cooperative, which is appreciated. However, a noticeable number lack the refinement and professionalism expected in a luxury hospitality setting. It would be highly beneficial for the management to invest in more advanced and structured training programs focused on high-end guest service. In summary, the stay was reasonably good, but given the premium pricing, a significantly higher level of quality and service should be expected.

I had a wonderful stay at Rixos in Hurghada. The hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. The staff were incredibly friendly, professional, and always willing to help with a smile, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The rooms were spacious, modern, and spotlessly clean. The food was outstanding, with a wide variety of delicious options available at every meal, including excellent à la carte restaurants. The pools, beach, and overall facilities were beautifully maintained, creating the perfect atmosphere for relaxation. The entertainment team did a fantastic job, offering fun activities throughout the day and amazing evening shows. The service was exceptional, and the attention to detail made our stay truly memorable. I highly recommend Rixos Hurghada to anyone looking for a luxurious, relaxing, and enjoyable vacation. I can’t wait to come back!

Amazing Hotel, food, drinks and service is out of this world. Big shout out to Ahmed Ashraf at infinity bar - adults only pool staff - he goes above and beyond and makes the best drinks ever. Very friendly, polite and attentive. Works very hard, especially in the heat. We were looked after from start to finish. He is an amazing person. A credit to the hotel 😃 all other staff around the pool are and lifeguards also amazing. Thank you Ahmed for making our stay so outstanding.
