This was a very disappointing stay. 1. Front desk check-in and check-out were extremely inefficient. I had already seen many reviews complaining about this issue, but I did not take it seriously until I experienced it myself. The front desk efficiency is shockingly bad. I have stayed at many Caribbean resorts, and this is by far the worst front desk I have ever encountered. I truly do not understand why this issue has been raised so many times by guests and yet the hotel has done nothing to fix it. 2. Water leakage in the room. I stayed in a ground-floor swim-up room. Water was leaking from the room above and dripping directly into my bathtub, drop by drop. I had to place a towel underneath just to reduce the constant dripping noise. This is completely unacceptable for a resort at this price level. 3. The shower area was very dirty. The shower was visibly dirty, which made me extremely uncomfortable and concerned about cleanliness. 4. Very poor service attitude from the shuttle staff. After check-in, a small shuttle took us to our room. The staff had a very bad attitude. After dropping us off, he refused to leave and clearly waited for a tip. I was traveling with a baby and did not want to cause trouble, otherwise I would not have given anything. This behavior made us feel pressured and uncomfortable. Overall, this was a terrible experience. I will never return to this hotel, and I will never choose any Royalton-branded hotel again. Everything stated above is factual, and I have photos and videos as evidence.

We booked 2 diamond club rooms and expected to have superior rooms and service.  I registered 6 months ago to have the rooms close together and in building 14 if possible.  I then followed up with a phone call to ensure that my request was accepted.  The rooms were the furthest from the beach without any real view (building 16).  The rooms were in terrible disrepair .  At one point, the access door in the shower fell down while I was showering.  Had to call the butler every day to get the normal stuff that should have been in the room daily (bath mats, bath towels, snacks, coffee, etc.).  Room service dishes are left in the halls for over 24 hours.  The aqua spa heater was broken for the entire week.  We had 1 free hour in the aqua spa from the Diamond club.  When asked if they offered any other service to make up for this loss, the response was "No we don't".  Supposed to have special coffee machine in the room, just a regular coffee maker.  Aromatherapy was promised through diamond club, not delivered.  The food is average, same thing every day.  Went to the steak house and after 2 hours, left without my meal.  They brought the rest of the table's meals after 90 minutes (and we have children 3,3,5), but neglected to bring mine even though I flagged down the manager.  Of course, they promised better service next time.  The up-selling is annoying.  I asked how they would deliver gold service when they couldn't deliver the diamond service...no answer. just apologies.  After this, the up-selling staff ignored us completely (not a big issue!).  The grounds were nice and the beach area was beautiful.  The staff were attentive and tried their best to deliver an appropriate level of service.  Fernando (beach bar) and Yenny (our Butler) were terrific and attentive.  Like most reviews, I expect that there will be a mea culpa from Cesar Garcia (general manager), promising to provide better service if we return (I've seen this from many previous travelers reviews.

This was our second trip here. What an amazing place with attentive staff. The nightly entertainment was brilliant, the buffet restaurant had an excellent choice of food from all around the world. The a la carte restaurants were outstanding and we never had an issue booking, infact we only ate at the buffet once or twice. Breakfast as the buffet was great, freshly made omlettes, fruit, meats and cheese...whatever your taste there is something for everyone. The beach staff are great, they go of there way to find you a spot, they clean your sunbed and then lay down your towels. Drinks are served to your sunbed, there's a great choice of cocktails etc. The only thing I would give a negative to is the speed of checking in, I'm not sure why it takes so long, but it does get frustrating after you've had such a long journey. Anyway, we've been twice and plan to return, so it hasn't put us off. See you next year you lovely people 😘

We had a wonderful one-week stay at this beautiful resort in the Dominican Republic. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The beach is absolutely stunning — clean, weed-free, and immaculately maintained. The padded lounge chairs were extremely comfortable, making it easy to relax for hours by the ocean. The cabanas are truly amazing; we rented them for two days and it was one of the highlights of our trip. The service throughout the entire day was exceptional, attentive without being intrusive, and made us feel genuinely pampered. The food was excellent, both at the buffet and the à la carte restaurants. There was a great variety, the quality was consistently high, and the service was always friendly and professional. What truly set this resort apart was the outstanding service. Every staff member we encountered was warm, welcoming, and eager to help. A very special shout-out to Angela from Guest Experience, who went above and beyond to take care of any special requests and made sure our stay was perfect. Her kindness and attention to detail did not go unnoticed. Overall, this resort delivers beauty, comfort, great food, comfortable size and wonderful service. We would absolutely return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable vacation with family and kids. …. We were 7 adults and 4 children. A lot of activities for the kids . From the moment we arrived at Royalton Punta Cana, the friendly staff greeted us with warm smiles and genuine hospitality, making us feel right at home in beautiful Punta Cana. Check-in took a little longer than expected, but that’s completely understandable with the language barrier – the staff were patient and helpful throughout. Our room was spotlessly clean (a huge plus!), and while the decor felt a bit dated, it was comfortable and well-maintained. The real highlight was our swim-out pool access – we used it constantly and absolutely loved every relaxing (and fun!) minute splashing around right from our patio. The pools throughout the resort were impeccably clean, and the food was truly amazing! We didn’t have a single bad meal during our entire stay – from the buffets to the à la carte restaurants, everything was fresh, flavorful, and varied. What made this trip extra special was how safe and comfortable our kids felt. They were able to explore on their own, make new friends, and have the time of their lives while we relaxed knowing the environment was family-friendly. I would recommend Royalton Punta Cana to anyone traveling to Punta Cana all day long – it’s the perfect all-inclusive spot for families seeking fun, relaxation, and great value. We’ll definitely be back!
