This is the second time I’ve stayed at sanctuary cap Cana booked through Costco. The first time I stayed was in 2024 and it was phenomenal, the rooms were nice, the service was fantastic, and so many different restaurants were included. Now that I’ve visited again in 2026 after it transitioned multiple times in 2025, it’s a shell of what it used to be. The food overall is still on average better than most all inclusive/cruises, however there’s a lot of dishes across the different restaurants that are way too salty. The service is also hit or miss, some waiters are amazing and others forget to even bring enough menus. When I came in 2024 the staff also on average could understand us better where as this time there are times where it’s hard to communicate to the staff. Additionally a lot of the restaurants no longer are included like the pizza place and sushi place used to be included, however are no longer included. All the restaurants and snack places that are included also aren’t open all the time, so your choices on a daily basis are limited. For the events I remember in 2024 even if it was just me and my friend they would still run the activities but now if it’s like an exercise class or activity with only 2 people they’ll cancel it rather than run it. It’s so sad, because I used to rave about this place as the most worth it place to go to all inclusive wise, now it’s mediocre at best. I don’t think I’ll be coming back or recommending it anymore to friends and coworkers in the future. Will also be posting this review on Costco, as it’s no longer a worth it package anymore.

If you’re looking for a relaxing adults-only getaway, Sanctuary Cap Cana absolutely delivers. To me, the biggest reason this resort stands out is the staff. Every single person we interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely seemed to care that we had a great vacation. Our butler, Alex, was fantastic and helped make our stay truly memorable. Felix (like the cat) at the pool was also fantastic! The property is beautiful, the rooms are comfortable, and the pools are great. We visited during a slower week, so the resort was less than half full. It never felt crowded, finding chairs was easy, and the peaceful atmosphere was exactly what we were hoping for. We tried all all of the pools and our favorite was the waterfall pool by the main pool. The food was good, especially for an all-inclusive resort. Don’t expect Michelin-star dining, but we enjoyed every meal and always found something we liked. Because occupancy was low, some restaurants rotated their dinner schedules, so there were limited choices each night, but it wasn’t too big of a deal. The only negative was the sargassum on the beach, but that’s a seasonal/regional issue and certainly not the resort’s fault. Overall, we had an amazing stay. The beautiful property brought us here, but the incredible staff made it a trip we’ll always remember!

The property itself is gorgeous, but what truly set this vacation apart and made it the experience of a lifetime was the unmatched, world-class service. The entire staff goes above and beyond to make you feel like royalty, but a few extraordinary individuals genuinely stole the show. A massive thank you to Moises, Felix, Abel, Estarlin, Omar, Luis Mario, Luis Xaviol, Freddy, Randy, and Esperanza for their endless hospitality, warmth, and attention to detail. Every single one of them anticipated our needs before we even realized them! And a special shoutout to the incredible Manuels—we think we met at least three different Manuels during our stay, and every single one was absolute gold! The genuine kindness and dedicated service from this team was hands down the highlight of our entire trip. They brought so much joy, passion, and energy to our stay, making every meal, drink, and interaction feel special. If you’re thinking about booking a trip here, do not hesitate. Sanctuary Cap Cana is absolute perfection, and the staff will make sure you never want to leave. We are already counting down the days until we can return! 🌴🍹✨

We come to Dominican Republic a lot but never been to this resort before. This place is absolutely divine. It's close to the airport so transportation is fast. The resort itself is absolutely stunning visually and in its accommodations. Staff is absolutely friendly, hospitable and informative as well. (Never a I don't know or I have to check) Pools were fantastic and accommodating for all types of activities loud or serene. The infinite pool offers a beautiful view of the resort and ocean. Food is great. Restaurants didn't feel like an afterthought like many resorts. Wok especially was a standout visually and for its quality. We at at sanctuary town quite a bit and the pizza is fantastic. Buffet and poolside was great as well. Rooms are clean and well kept. House keeping visit 2 times a day so the rooms are always clean and well stocked. Amenities were also great. The gym was exceptional with equipment for almost everything and had an exceptional view of the spa. The spa was fantastic as well.the beach has potential but the seaweed was bad. Not the resorts fault. We came in the off season and during the record breaking seaweed attack. Overall this is a very intimate and ultra lux hotel and resort. We made a lot of friends here and plan to come back next year.

Had a beautiful stay. Carlos was absolutely amazing and made sure I never lacked for anything. People were friendly, the food was actually great for a resort (the Italian restaurant and Wok, specifically… the steakhouse was a bit mid). The property is very nice although rooms could use updating but I was there at end of season and saw them actively cleaning and updating so it’s clear that’s what they’re already doing. The spa is also amazing! Yanet is incredible!
