A Food Blogger’s Honest Review of Sandals Ochi As food bloggers and creators, we travel with high expectations for culinary experiences, and unfortunately, Sandals Ochi was a major disappointment. We chose this resort to celebrate my 30th birthday, hoping to enjoy a variety of restaurants, memorable meals, and the kind of elevated all-inclusive dining experience the Sandals brand promises. Sadly, the food was one of the biggest letdowns of our stay. While a select few dishes were enjoyable, the overall food quality was inconsistent and often downright disappointing. With so many restaurants advertised throughout the property, we expected variety, flavor, and quality. Instead, many meals fell flat, and some of the late-night dining options we planned to try weren’t even open when we arrived. For an all-inclusive resort, having advertised dining options unavailable is frustrating, especially when food is such a major part of the vacation experience. Beyond the food, the service was another significant issue. We encountered rude waitstaff and very slow service. Our biggest positives were our butlers, Daniel and Shenae, who were easily the highlight of our stay, and the resort’s location. Their service helped make the experience more manageable. Unfortunately, Sandals Ochi did not deliver the culinary experience or celebratory atmosphere we hoped for during such a special milestone. For food lovers considering this resort, I would manage your expectations. Based on our experience, we would not return or recommend it for a special birthday getaway.

My husband and I went here for our honeymoon. It was such an amazing trip. All of the workers were so kind and easy to talk to. We ESPECIALLY loved Zoe, the bartender, shout out to you girl! Seriously, such a fun trip. Food was good, outings were fun, night life was fun. 10/10

We had an amazing time at Sandals Ochi! We were celebrating my bride to be's 50th Birthday, then got married and spent the rest of our stay honeymooning. They did a great job making each event special for us. They put us in the highest up ocean view with pool and butler villa so we had amazing views from the hillside of the entire area from both our semi-private pool and villa. This was our first time using the Butler service and with everything we were celebrating having them assist with all kinds of things was incredibly beneficial. Jason and Richard made everything special for us. Food was outstanding. The grounds are gorgeous. Service is top notch. The wedding services department was amazing. This location is awesome to me for what as I describe as a mountain beach with lush vegetation right up to the shoreline. Be mindful this is not your typical white sand super clear water experience but we wanted the best of both world's mountain and sea for our celebrations.

My wife and I went with some friends and spent a week there at the sandals resort at Ochi Rios Hillside. We stayed in the Butler Village. And Delmar and Melford were our butlers. They were so nice and took care of us very well. We were very pleased with their service. I really enjoyed all the poolside activities and I enjoyed the nightlife activities as well. I really like the speakeasy and the some of the shows that they offered there in the evening. I also like the fact that they were able to help book our excursions and that was very helpful. All the drivers and all the servers were very nice. We went to also play on the Pickleball courts. Those courts need to be fixed. They’re very poor for a Sandals resort of that size should have very nice Pickleball courts and tennis courts, so I would recommend some repair. Overall , our experience was very good.

10/10 would recommend to come here for your next vacation. Came here on my honeymoon and will definitely be looking to come back again. Food is excellent for an all inclusive, staff couldn’t be more friendly and happy to help, drinks are amazing, and the events are awesome! Ackeen at Valentinos was exceptionally great and provided us with our favorite meal and dining experience of the trip.
