This review is specific to the Ayara restaurant. Fantastic experience from start to finish. The hostess Belen started the night off perfectly. Very accommodating, fun & friendly, and she really helped us out. 5 star hostess!! Got seated and the ambiance, decor and temp were spot on. Next up... Daniel is a brilliant waiter. He really took care of us! Super fun with a great attitude, and very knowledgeable regarding the extensive menu. He helped us select the best options for our meal. Awesome job Daniel - thank you! Food was 5 star for Mexico. Kudos to the chef. Breakdown: Empanadas and Salmon apps delicious, Picanha Steak was juicy and so flavourful. Best steak I have had in the carribean. The catch of the day, Chilean sea bass, was also amazing. Finished with 3 desserts that Daniel picked for us. Well presented and delicious. I would also like to give a shout out to the manager, Mario. Proper is the best word to decribe him. He walks around asking the guests how the meal is going. That's how it should be done my friend. Well done! I compliment his professionalism as I asked him a bunch of questions and he did not blink. Perfectly managed at this restaurant. Amazing, amazing, amazing 👏 Great job Ayara! We will see you again 2 or 3 more times this week! Best restaurant by far at this resort. 👌 Great dining experience with uplifting energy. PS. Allison is great at the Preferred concierge. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Unforgettable 7-Day Stay at Secrets Playa Mujeres! "Our 7-day vacation at Secrets Playa Mujeres was an exceptional experience from start to finish! My wife and I have been UVC members for nearly 15 years and frequent Secrets resorts as loyal World of Hyatt members, but this was our first visit to this property. Traveling with a group of eight, everyone in our party had an incredible time. We stayed in a Preferred Club Ocean View Master Suite, and both the suite and its prime location exceeded expectations. Our housekeeper was wonderful and consistently attentive to every request throughout the week. Our days were the perfect balance of relaxation and fun between the beach, pool, spa, and evening dining. The dining was outstanding across the board. We loved breakfast and dinner at Ki' Ki" Che located the the preferred lounge, enjoyed Gaucho Brazilian at neighboring Dreams, and had fantastic meals at the Hibachi tables, Portofino, and Oceana. A standout highlight was a custom-arranged seafood and surf-and-turf dinner at Oceana featuring salmon, cod, fried shrimp, steak and shrimp skewers, and whole bone-in catfish—it was spectacular! Special recognition goes to the staff members who truly made our week extraordinary: Jamie at the Preferred pool concierge Marcela in the Preferred Club Lounge Ayx at the Preferred beach concierge Enrique at Market Café for attentive, cheerful breakfast service every morning Daniel (Manager) and Jeffrey (Server) at Oceana for incredible hospitality during our meals Rosa & Teresa at the spa for exceptional, rejuvenating treatments Secrets Playa Mujeres delivered top-tier service for our entire group. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely amazing experience! We have stayed at several resorts, and Secrets continues to be our favorite! Secrets Playa Mujeres was beautiful, the amenities were wonderful, and the service was exceptional from beginning to end. We always stay Preferred Club, and the Preferred breakfast here was hands down the BEST breakfast at the resort! And the dinner choices—OH MY GOODNESS! So many options and the food was absolutely delicious. We looked forward to dinner every night! The spa was incredible. My massage therapist found every knot in my back and got them ALL out! 😂 We also had the romantic sunset dinner, which was beautiful, intimate, and one of the highlights of our trip. ❤️ There is a reason we continue to choose Secrets over other resorts. The service, food, atmosphere, and attention to detail keep us coming back. And Mexico, you are ALWAYS so good to me! 🇲🇽❤️ We will absolutely be back!

We had an awesome week at Secrets Playa Mujeres with a few staff shout outs! Carlos and Katherine with the entertainment team were amazing! Carlos brought the energy every single day, always greeting us by name! Katherine did our bike tour and was so kind and fun! Eduardo at sugar reef bar was our favorite bartender all week! He took great care of my husband and I! Paulina, who is the front desk chief, handled the small hiccup that was the AC in our room going out. She was kind, understanding, and very helpful!! Minerva, Nidia, Sylva, Rivera did our massages and they were all amazing! “Mine” gave the best hand massage of my life 😍 Juan Daniel was our server at Ayara and he was funny, kind, and so prompt with the service. He was our favorite from all the restaurants! Food was great while we were there, especially the MTO omelettes in the morning at the buffet!

We had such an amazing stay at Secrets Playa Mujeres, but the people truly made the trip unforgettable! We have to give a special shoutout to Sam, Dianna, Maru, and Alexis — they all went above and beyond and genuinely made us feel like family. Sam was our absolute favorite golf cart driver! He was so much fun and always so friendly. One night, he even drove us around the resort looking for wildlife, which ended up being one of those random little memories from the trip that we’ll always remember. Dianna and Maru took such great care of us by the pool. They were both incredibly sweet, attentive, and welcoming. Seeing them each day felt more like seeing friends than just being waited on. And Alexis from the entertainment crew was amazing! He played pool with us, hung out and talked with us, and was genuinely so friendly and fun to be around. He made us feel completely at home. It’s the staff who can really make or break a resort experience, and these four absolutely MADE ours. By the end of our stay, we were genuinely sad to say goodbye. Secrets Playa Mujeres is lucky to have them, and they’re a huge reason we’d love to come back! ❤️
