We stayed at SUNRISE Mamlouk Palace Resort as a family of five in October 2026. Positive experiences: The food was absolutely amazing, with excellent quality, great taste and a wide variety of dishes. The coffee in the main building was particularly outstanding. The beach was beautiful, with a lovely sandy entrance to the sea, making it ideal for families with children. Most staff members were friendly and welcoming. Areas for improvement: Unfortunately, the family suites are outdated and poorly soundproofed. Noise from neighbouring rooms and staff working early in the morning affected our comfort and sleep. As a family of five, we often struggled to find seats together at the beach, restaurants and evening shows. Another concern was the service. We had the impression that tipping strongly influenced the attention guests received. At the Mexican restaurant, a waiter even walked away while I was placing our order to attend to another family. Although the food was delicious, this experience was disappointing. We shared our concerns directly with Ana from the hotel’s quality management team. During our conversation, we had the impression that several of these issues were already known. Overall: The resort has a fantastic beach, excellent food and great potential. However, for a five-star hotel, we expected better room conditions, more consistent service and equal attention for all guests, regardless of tipping. We hope management takes this feedback seriously, as we would consider returning if these aspects were improved.

We are currently half way into a 10 night stay here at the Mamlouk Palace. It’s our first time to Egypt, we were a little apprehensive due to some stories we had heard from other travellers. Everyone at this hotel has been very welcoming and attentive. All staff are friendly and can’t do enough for you, to make your stay enjoyable. The food is very good, there is a wide variety to choose from. The à la carte restaurants are very good and well worth the visit. The food in all the restaurants we visited was excellent. Negative points, they need air conditioning in there as they are very hot. The beer is served in cans here and not particularly cold. All the staff here work extremely hard and never seem to stop. A special mention entertainment team at the hotel. These guys and girls really make the holiday enjoyable. A special thank you to Moo, Max and Kimo. It’s been a pleasure to meet these absolute gentlemen.

Very Disappointing Experience – Not What I Expected from SUNRISE Mamlouk Palace Unfortunately, my recent stay at SUNRISE Mamlouk Palace was a very disappointing experience, especially considering the reputation and standards I expected from the resort. One of my main concerns was the inconsistency in the level of service and attention given to guests. I personally felt that there was a noticeable difference in the way Egyptian guests and foreign guests were treated, particularly with some members of the Front Office team and the staff at the main bar. This made me feel uncomfortable and genuinely disappointed during my stay. Another particularly frustrating situation occurred when I asked the Front Office to extend my stay. I was told that there was no availability and that extending the reservation was not possible. However, shortly afterwards, I found rooms available for booking through both Booking.com and the hotel’s own website. This was extremely confusing and left me questioning the transparency of the information provided by the Front Office. Even if there was a legitimate reason for the discrepancy, the situation should have been explained clearly to the guest. I believe that every guest, regardless of nationality, should receive the same level of professionalism, respect, attention, and hospitality. Unfortunately, this experience did not reflect the standard I expected from SUNRISE Mamlouk Palace, and it significantly affected my overall impression of the resort. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and reviews these issues, particularly the Front Office service, consistency of guest treatment, and communication regarding room availability. Sadly, this is an experience I would not want to repeat.

Our stay at Sentido Mamlouk was absolutely excellent! From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The service and hospitality were outstanding, and we were constantly asked if we needed anything. What really impressed us was how caring the staff were throughout the hotel. Every time you walk around, someone is there to ask if you’re happy or if there’s anything they can do for you. You truly feel well taken care of. Many thanks to Mr. Kareem from guest relations, Mr. Ibrahim from reception and Mr. Mohamed The pool was very clean, and the sandy beach was beautiful and enjoyable. The food was also excellent, with a great variety of options to choose from. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and really enjoyed our stay. We'll definitely be coming back again. Highly recommended! ❤️

Second year in a row at SENTIDO Mamlouk Palace / SUNRISE Garden Beach, and once again an absolute 10/10 experience! Returning to a place that not only maintains its high standards but keeps getting even better is a genuine pleasure. ​The resort grounds are massive, flawlessly maintained, and exceptionally well-managed - everything is perfectly organized down to the smallest detail for a seamless and memorable vacation. Having shared access to the amenities of both sister properties is a huge advantage: beautiful pools, a pristine sandy beach, and lush, spotless walking areas. ​The food is outstanding, diverse, and delicious every single day - from the extensive choices at the main buffet to the fantastic variety across the à la carte restaurants. ​A special shoutout to the phenomenal staff across every corner of the resort! From the welcoming reception desk, to the brilliant and energetic bartenders at the pools and beach (who never let your glass stay empty), to the attentive waiters and talented chefs – everyone serves with genuine warmth, hospitality, and dedication. They remember your preferences from day one and treat you like valued friends rather than just hotel guests. ​The rooms are spotless, comfortable, and well-appointed. We are already looking forward to our third visit next year! Highly and wholeheartedly recommended to anyone visiting Hurghada!
