Hotel has a relatively good location with a beautiful view of the sea. The beach is nice but narrow, with difficult access to the water over slippery rocks. The hotel is clean but older, which is noticeable in the furnishings. The activities were great. The hotel is rated as a 4-star property, but the prices in the bar and à la carte restaurants are as high as in a 5-star hotel, while the quality of the drinks and food was more on the level of a 3-star establishment

Spent a day package at Solana beach resort on 26th November on the occasion of my brother's birthday. Overall the experience was very nice. We were very happy with the service. We would like to thank the Outlet Manager Mr Balram for making sure we were well served and we lack nothing. He was very polite and friendly. Thankful to the 2 waiters Anas and Shesh who did their best possible to match our needs whenever we needed and we didn't have to wait long for our orders. And last but not the least, thanks to Mr Vikash the Executive chef. The food were delicious and freshly prepared and hot. He even made sure to replenish the items asap so that we can enjoy our lunch. Not to forget Mr Balram and Mrs Rita also gave my brother a surprise birthday cake and sparkling wine as gift. We were very pleased with our day package. Highly recommended 👌 Cheers to the team 🥳

Our stay at Solana Beach was okay overall, but for the price and value, I would recommend considering another resort. We booked the all-inclusive package, and unfortunately, it was not the greatest experience. Some of the staff were friendly and helpful, but others seemed disinterested — and it quickly became clear that if you’re not French-speaking or from Europe, you’ll likely feel overlooked. Most of the activities, announcements, and even entertainment were geared entirely toward French-speaking guests, which made it difficult to enjoy the resort atmosphere fully. The daytime entertainment was honestly poor. The leisure team seemed unmotivated, and there wasn’t much effort to include or engage all guests — only a select few. It also felt like you had to spend extra money to receive good service. For example, during a birthday dinner when we chose one of the more expensive dining options, the staff were suddenly very attentive and friendly. For an all-inclusive resort, there was a noticeable lack of service around the pool and beach — no waiters coming around to offer drinks or assistance. The rooms were the highlight of our stay, mainly because of the beautiful sea-facing view. However, housekeeping was minimal — only the beds were made daily, and empty bottles or small messes weren’t cleaned for days. The bathroom appeared to have been recently modernized, but the workmanship was poor, and it took about 10 minutes for the water to get hot in our room. Overall, Solana Beach has potential, but the experience did not match the cost or expectations of an all-inclusive resort. If you’re looking for a more welcoming, value-for-money, and inclusive experience — especially as a non-European guest — I would suggest exploring other options in Mauritius.

A fantastic adults only hotel. Set in a lagoon that shelters the beach from the bigger waves you can see in distance. Plenty of snorkeling to be done. Rooms - see further down. Food - see further down The major pluses of this hotel is that every room has a seaview and the staff working there are so friendly and helpful. There is always a breeze on this coast so you can enjoy the sun and keep cool at the same time. The cocktail drink made and served within a coconut is a must but it's not on the all-inclusive menu but worth the £6. The pool is freshwater and not heated so it takes a few minutes to acclimatise 😉. A special mention to the people below who helped make our stay an absolute pleasure and one where we would definitely return and recommend: Gaytree - room - she kept the room lovely and clean. Esha - reception - she is nicest person we met whilst on holiday and that takes some doing Mauritius. Nothing was too much trouble for her. Jimmy - shop - very helpful with sizes etc. Not pushy at all. If you decided not to purchase he accepted your decision. He was just so very polite. Valerie - bar - works tirelessly bringing drinks and ensuring the tables are always clean and clear. Aniket - bar - He worked tirelessly preparing drinks. Always had a smile for everyone. Kusoom - bar - She was a lovely lady who also worked tirelessly to ensure our holiday was perfect. Eleanore - entertainment - this young girl is so energetic and her enthusiasm is infectious. There are loads of activities including cocktail making and a cooking class. If you want to do the 5 islands tour or other trips, see Ricardo at the watersport shack. The one thing that united them all was their pride in their paradise island country. Would definitely recommend staying at this lovely hotel. For us there was no downside to this hotel.

We had the most incredible stay at Solana. The food was perfect, room views were stunning, beach was easily accessible and the staff were phenomenal. Every request was adhered to. The rooms are spacious - aside from a leaking shower which was slightly annoying, the staff continuously came to clean our bathroom and made various attempts to stop the leak. The resort is spacious, airy and clean. We had a lovely stay.
