Gabriella was fantastic with helping us schedule our lobster and steak dinner cruise and tulum tour. She also helped us navigate the local bus system and was so sweet and tried her best to help me get my hands on a bottle of Xtabentún liquor. Roberto Sanchez was excellent by helping with scheduling dinner and Le Blanc presentation which got us palace money! He also surprised me with balloons, cake, and champagne to celebrate my birthday!!! Plus, to top it off he was able to pinpoint where I could get Xtabentún liquor in town and wouldnt accept a tip! He humbly said we are friends no problem and my pleasure! Estrella, Juan, Alfredo, were superb with serving our meals, being diligent with my pineapple allergy, and special requests. Renan was very polite, patient, and determined to help me identify Alfredo so I could give him kudos. Juan and Miguel at the inside bar were hospitable and made great mixes drinks on the fly for me and they were so humorous as well. Oh and the resort upgraded our room from the deluxe ocean view to a honeymoon suite for free! The housekeeper made sure we always returned to a clean room with fresh sheets and towels 24/7.

Beautiful place! The restaurants are great room service is amazing! Every single staff member is kind and ready to help you. It’s a smaller more intimate low-key setting. My only issue is due to the humidity. Sometimes the rooms smell a little bit musty, but I guess that’s to be expected due to the nature of the weather in Cancun.

We had such a lovely stay here! There are tons of hotel options to choose from, but we are glad we stayed at Sun Palace. First thing to note in the hotel itself - it’s recently updated and the room was very nice. It wasn’t crowded so we didn’t have to fight for pool chairs and could move between the pools as we wanted. The quiet pool was our favorite, but we liked also going over to the party pool and doing some of the fun games. They keep the beach really clean too. The service is outstanding across the board. They really want you to feel special loved. Hot towels when you enter, bell service. Our pick up/drop off to/from the airport, even though we booked the shared shuttle, they gave us a private shuttle, which was really lovely. Highly recommend you book a shuttle through the hotel as there’s a ton of scams and ripoff taxis right outside immigration. Pool service were so attentive and quick. Servers were so sweet! For restaurants, we loved Fuego with our server Kevin and we loved Trattoria with our server Abel. The servers go above and beyond! The food is generally pretty good for an inclusive, but Fuego’s food we think was by far the best. Outside of this, throughout our stay, hotel personnel consistently asked us how we were doing. There were multiple times to give feedback on our experience and they were open and willing to hear everything that we had to share, which mostly was good things. The rooms are nicely updated - we loved the hot tub in the room, which is their base level room. Hotel gym had everything we needed. Drinks were not watered down here by any means, and there was entertainment every single day and every single night throughout the night to ensure that you had something to do in the hotel. Overall, this was a really fun stay and we are sad to leave. This was definitely a relaxing way to refuel ourselves before the new year. We didn’t do any day trips, tours, or any of the special offerings because they were a little bit on the more expensive side, but we still had a great time nonetheless. Would highly recommend some palace for your trip to Cancun!

We had a great time, would go back. The room was spacious and clean. We were impressed by how clean they kept the hotel. They clean every surface daily, to include outdoor walkways and windows. The thai restaurant is amazing. Aurora buffet was good. We had a horrible experience at the restaurant, Fuego; The food and the service was bad. We actually didn't eat a good portion of our food (which really says something-we are not picky). I'm not sure if it was just a bad day for them, because they seem to be a highlight in a lot of reviews. Overall great value and we had a great time. Its quiet and relaxed, the beach was good enough for us! The front desk staff was helpful and attentive. All of the staff in the hotel were great. We especially loved our bartenders Alfredo and Miguel. There were other staff that were great, but unfortunately, we dont remember there names. We blame Alfredo and Miguel 😆

Had an amazing stay at Sun Palace. The place was very clean there was always someone cleaning something. All of the staff was very friendly and helpful. A few names to shout out - Gabriel at the pool bar - Johnathan and Jesus at the activity pool - Silvio and Sarai serving drinks at the pool and beach. We were there for a wedding and many of those people were there as well and helpful as always - Sarai even got me some habanero hot sauce upon request. The daily buffet at the activity pool was awesome - grilled chorizo, chicken, burgers, hot dog, pizza, and always some kind of grilled veggie or salad. Pool food was really good - I recommend the Al Pastor tacos and onion rings. The Bar at night was fun! Shout the 2 male bartender and the female server - did not get their names but the service was wonderful. Chairs at pool and beach - easier the earlier you got there - fills up by about 10am - we did not see any "chair police" until the last day which was a Friday for us so Monday - Thursday. Half the beach chairs are reserved for Diamond members, but people cycle in and out, so it is not too difficult to get a chair. Thai was our favorite restaurant. Service at the restaurants can be slow - we found ourselves preferring the pool food and room service by then end as it was quicker. Overall, a great stay would return and would recommend.
