The rating is more like 4.5/5. The 0.5 is because of food. The quality is good but options are limited for vegetarians. They could use with 1 more restaurant in the evening to help with the crowd. The Italian restaurant was by far my favorite and recommend going there early as it gets crowded. My second favorite was a tie between Azul and the Mexican restaurant. I will definitely recommend taco stand for lunch. The buffet has multiple options particularly if you eat meat. They have a cafe which is open 24 hours and have sandwiches for late nite options. Property is clean and staff is very friendly. Their other amenities are on par with other resorts. Their water park is more for younger kids and has enough to keep them engaged. They have 2 adult pool and they are like any other regular pool. I would recommend the kids club and they have multiple activities for kids including pool time. They have activities for adults throughout the day. The best part of the resort is the beach. It is clean with no sargassum issue. The water can be rough but it is still swimmable. The rooms are spacious and clean. I will recommend buying the deluxe room as it comes with extra perks like bigger room and vip lounge access. I was happy with the liquor offerings. The housekeeping staff will clean the rooms daily and refill things as needed. Overall it was great stay and is recommended!

Amazing hotel to spend your vacation. All the services we had here was great %100. The reception was so friendly and very helpful for any requests. I remember "Miguel " he was so great with us. I remember too Sandy and Christian in the pool. They made us busy every day with their beautiful exercises and dancing. They were so great. Generally,sunscape hotel is one of the best best hotel we have ever seen. Definitely, we'll repeat coming back here again.

Food was tolerable at best. Thank god for the Italian restaurant, it is the only place with good food in this hotel. Rooms are clean but it is true that the sound proof is next to nothing. Staff seems overworked and not the happiest. They try to upsell you in every corner. The beach is very nice and clean. Small pool. Not a lot to do in the hotel. 4/10 experience would not come back.

We had a wonderful stay at Sunscape Resort! The staff were incredibly friendly, always greeting us with a smile and making us feel truly welcomed. Their helpfulness stood out in every interaction. Our family has specific dietary needs — vegetarian, and no onion or garlic — and we were genuinely impressed by how supportive the restaurant staff were. They went out of their way to prepare special meals for us every day, ensuring we were comfortable and well taken care of. Their kindness and attention made our stay even more memorable. Overall, we had a great experience and truly appreciate the hospitality. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a warm and accommodating resort! 🌞✨

Great resort for a short 6 day stay. after reading various reviews, I can say the resort was a great value for the price . The service was excellent in all the restaurants. The staff was very attentive and paid close attention to my families dietary needs and coordinated with the kitchen provide food options. A very big thanks to them . As for me the food was flavorful. The negative food reviews I attribute to our high salt, sugar laced foods in the USA. I just added salt and pepper as needed. The desserts were top notch, not high sugar ladeen, the actual flavors came through just right. We did have a AC water leak and a refrigerator fail in the room and let me tell you the response from the staff was quick and efficient. Drinks well ask for a double if you want it stronger. The room service staff was wonderful and the last turnover service was a special surprise. All the staff was solid on guest service smiling and greeting is as we passed often asking if all was ok and if we needed anything. Kids and adult pools were great but I preferred the sandy beach, we also took advantage of free the water craft options off site at Aqua world. Nightly entertainment at the bar varied nightly and they definitely did a great job . A special treat for the kids was a surprise while watching the moon on the beach the turtles emerged from the sand after hatching. The time share associates were very subdued not as aggressive as I have encountered on other resorts all we did was ignore them, plenty of practice. The family had a great time and the sunscape is on our list for a future trip.
