Zel Punta Cana is an all-inclusive hotel. The programme generally consists of breakfast, lunch and dinner, all buffet style, served in the main restaurant. During meals soft drinks, beer, water and wine are usually offered. Locally produced alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks like water, wine, soft drinks, beer and spirits are usually served throughout the day (except during meal times).

Very nice all-inclusive resort with beautiful pools and great location by the sea. The resort offers several pool areas, including an adults only section, several restaurants, coffee shop, a small store, evening entertainment, etc Modern and clean rooms providing most amenities you need during the stay. The rooms has a complimentary mini-bar which is supposed to be refilled every day but at least during our stay it was not. Wine bottle part of the minibar, but no opener available in the room. Pool towels provided and the pool bar has a good selection of drinks. The buffe restaurant is excellent providing a large variety of dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Some difficulties to get cutleries and coffee gives a lower score on services. The mexican BlueAgave restaurant provides great service however we expected the food to be more spicy or having more flavors. The rock bottom is the Flora restaurant offering traditional dominican food. It was extremely difficult to get a reservation at this restaurant, still it was not half full when eating there and despite many empty tables we were placed at the ”worst” location. We asked to change table and were allowed to do so but with very grumpy staff as a result. Food was average, service almost acceptable although the waiter looked like she just wanted to end her shift, and after finishing main course we were told they did only have one dessert left. The location and facilities are top class but there are many annoying small things missing or areas with low quality services which gives the lower overall grade.

This was our first time in Punta Cana and we were initially concerned that the reviews were incentivized but the positive reviews turned out to be true! We felt everyone was really kind and genuine. First shoutout to Santo at Flor- he was very warm and provided us an amazing Mediterranean lunch at Sante. Our rooms were spacious and clean. Food was great- buffet had a wide selection for all meals and reservation required restaurants were decent quality: Mina steakhouse (would recommend skirt steak and picanha) Flor (recommend the flower basket, slow cooked ribs) Sante ( recommend the salmon, octopus salad, heard the shrimp rice was good too). The spa was pretty good- thank you to my masseuse Dorka who was so nice! The beach was amazing. Definitely the highlight. We had access to affiliated Melia resorts. Overall this is an excellent deal. The only thing that left us feeling off and disgusted was one of the girls in our group had her check out card labeled as Kim II Joong. This didn't feel like a reflection of the hotel chain as a whole but whoever wrote that should be held accountable for being unprofessional and frankly racist. Maybe it was an honest mistake, but the room number was correct. We felt no discrimination during our stay except for this instance.

I recently stayed here with my sister to celebrate my 50th birthday. The resort is gated which made us feel safer and the grounds are beautiful and maintained daily. We had an Oceanfront room in the reserve adult only section, it was worth the extra money. I loved waking up to the water view every morning. We had our own concierge, Harry, who was amazing! The food was good, nothing exceptional but good. We were not impressed with the restaurant that was only for the guests staying at the reserve, we both agreed that the other restaurants were better. The resort is large and we never felt like it was overcrowded. The pools are beautiful and they maintain the beach. It's more of a quieter resort, so if you are looking for something that has a lot of activities, this is not the place for you. They do have a few daily activities but not much. Everyone we encountered that worked at the resort was so nice and helpful. Fernando, who i believe ia the activities director, was very fun and personable. I highly recommend this resort if you are looking for a place to unwind.

Had a wonderful stay at the resort last week. Yje resort and grounds are beuituful The room was located in the Reserve adult only section of the the hotel. The room itself was large and well appointed. Only small issue I had was the air conditioning. It only went to 69 degrees, which is still a little warm at night. Our concierge was Yinesca, who helped with our dinner reservations and made the stay very pleasant. We loved all the pools, and never had any issue with seats. The towel program is fantastic. Need a towel...take a towel. The reserve side if the beach was nice, and like the pool hasd no issues with finding sun loungers. As for the restaurants, we really enjoyed the steak house, Italian and Mexican restaurants. This may surprise some, but we were not impressed with Sante, the Reserve restaurant. It's that the food was "bad", just not impressive. Several people.we.spoke with agreed. On the other hand, we thought the buffet was surprisingly good. Overall it was a very nice experience.

Our honeymoon couldn’t be better. From the amazing food, to the entertainment and the amenities of the hotel. The staff made it even better. The concierges: Harry M. & Ana Azcona were very attentive, everything we needed they were there. The bartenders: Luis (pool bar) & Jorge (ginger bar) more than their amazing cocktails, they do make you feel welcome. The buffet servers (lunch box): Jimbert & Rocio, were very attentive and always with a smile and good conversations made our mornings better. The spa therapists: Iro & Alba gave us the most amazing massage. Carlos & Dana, the merengue teacher, made us dance and have a good time. We will definitely come back and will bring family and friends too. Thanks all!
