Very nice and clean hotel. We stayed here in 2021 and had a great experience. The rooms were modern, comfortable, and well maintained. The location is very convenient — especially if you’re visiting SeaWorld Orlando, as it’s just a short drive away. There are also plenty of restaurants and attractions nearby. Overall, a solid choice for a stay in Orlando

I am a loyal Marriott guest and member and have consistently had positive experiences with Aloft properties which is why I want to share both the strengths and concerns from this stay at Aloft I-Drive. My family and I arrived at approximately 3:00 AM after significant travel delays with two toddlers. Rickys at the front desk provided exceptional service — he was empathetic, welcoming, and offered us a one hour late checkout given the circumstances, which we greatly appreciated and accepted. The following day, however, we received a noon call from Sara stating checkout time had passed and we would need to pay for another night. I explained the arrangement made at check-in, but she responded in a dismissive and rude manner, indicating Rickys could not “possibly” authorize that accommodation, implying that I was not being truthful. I even suggested that she call him but she just continued being rude and dismissive. Guests should not be placed in the middle of internal policy or communication discrepancies, particularly when an offer was made by hotel staff in good faith. The tone of the interaction was disappointing and inconsistent with Marriott’s usual hospitality standards. We requested to speak with a manager, and Rafael demonstrated exactly the level of professionalism I associate with the Marriott brand. He listened carefully, understood our perspective, and resolved the situation appropriately. His leadership, along with Ricky’s compassion, is the reason this rating is 4.5 stars rather than significantly lower. I remain a loyal Marriott guest, and I share this feedback constructively. Based on my experience — and similar comments noted in other reviews — additional customer service training or coaching for Sara may be beneficial to ensure consistency with Marriott’s service standards. Thanks again to Rafael and Rickys for saving the day and frankly, our experience.

Definitely do not recommend staying here. I booked this hotel for an entire weekend, and on our third night we got back exhausted at 11:45pm after a full day at universal. Within 30 minutes of being back we found 4 German cockroaches in our room. I went to the front desk to ask for another room and they told me since it was Valentine’s Day night they were completely sold out. I then asked what we should do and in response he said, “well it’s your last night right?” Even though it was not. Very unprofessional and they were not taking the problem seriously. They did not apologize for the problem and I was not even offered a refund or discount. We ended up having to check out of the hotel at 1 am to go stay somewhere else for the night. Additionally, the first day we were there we found hair on the bed, and the second day we were there housekeeping randomly took one of our sheets from the bed. When I called to ask for another sheet they sent up towels, so I called again and the second time all that was sent was blankets. The whole experience was just bad. And for what it was - extremely overpriced.

The modern design just isn’t for me. No place to put our suitcases, the corner “couch” was useless, no place to put things in the bathroom. We did not have hot water, and even though I let the front desk know, it didn’t get fixed. Water pressure was horrible (I think the shower head needed a good cleaning.) The facility was clean and inviting though. We didn’t spend any time in the lobby, but I noticed lots of games set out on the table.

We returned from a Disney cruise with 6 hours before our flight home. Daughter bought a day pass. It was a horrible experience. Nothing worked. The room was like an ice box. Could not shut off AC. Called 3 times to have someone come but it never happened. Asked to speak to manager and he never called back. The pool was like an Arctic blast. This was so cold, we could not tolerate it. Other patrons complained also. We were informed the boiler broke but I did not believe that tale. This pool water was obviously cold for a very long time. I feel we deserve a full refund.
