Don't always read the bad reviews and be put off. It's always worth seeing for yourself. I read the reviews and had so much anxiety staying here but not had any issues at all. Upon check-in Robert was extremely good with us, polite and helpful, and accommodated my needs. When getting to the room it is a bit out dated, a little damp smell but the room suited us and quite a large room. The air conditioning worked fine. The shower was great and had big towels. They didn't come every day to empty our trash, but every 3rd day like it says we had clean sheets and towels. The food and cocktails were great in the topsy turvy lounge and the lady who wears the ghost ears is really nice and friendly. The only negative I have is when people do smoke outside the rooms it does smell a bit, I thought something was on fire in our room! Put on the air conditioning to take the smell away. The pool area is nice, and had a couple of days by the pool. Only one day we had a couple that played music and it was more like Ibiza. But a great hotel! I would definitely recommend it.

Unfortunately, my experience at this hotel was disappointing. My biggest concern was the billing. The front desk would tell me one amount, but later I noticed additional charges taken from my bank account without being clearly explained to me beforehand. I strongly recommend that guests check their bank transactions daily while staying here to make sure all charges match what they were told. The room also had several maintenance and cleanliness issues. The bathroom sink drained extremely slowly, and the carpet had an unpleasant smell. The floor around the air-conditioning unit was constantly wet, which made me concerned that the AC may have been leaking water. On top of that, the AC did not cool the room properly. Housekeeping was also inconsistent. On some days, I had to specifically request service just to have the bed made and receive clean towels. Overall, the hotel needs significant improvement in billing transparency, maintenance, cleanliness, and housekeeping. Guests should not have to repeatedly request basic services or discover unexpected charges after the fact.

After 37 hours awake, I was exhausted and couldn't wait to lie down. To my surprise, the mattress had a dip, and I don't mean a small one; my upper body was higher than my lower half. I couldn't move because the other bed and the side of my bed were already taken. It made for a very uncomfortable three nights. I was too exhausted to ask for another room after we had already unpacked. Also, while going to the bathroom, I found an earring in the bathtub that wasn't ours, which I assume means the room wasn't cleaned very well. There were also marijuana sticks on the nightstand. One nice thing was the distance to Universal. We also had to call the front desk to request a replacement iron because ours wasn't working. The front desk was made aware of the mattress in room 3105. I also want to mention parking. We could never find parking near our room; we had to park farther away and walk to our room after a long day at the parks. They also charge a $10 parking fee a night, which is a ripoff since you can't even park near your room.

Staff lovely. Rooms dated but expected. Location is great and surrounded by everything you need, including free shuttle to universal. Pool area nice and plenty space. Downfalls were 1) smoking on the balconys outside rooms. There’s gaps in the doors and the rooms trap the smoke from rooms next door when they are smoking just outside their room. We had to stuff towels below door to try and trap the smell out but didn’t work. Quite off putting and should be no smoking signs on the fence outside rooms 2) beds weren’t changed or made at all. We had to request after a week which they did, but making the beds should be a minimum daily. Only hotel I have ever stayed in that haven't done this.

A good hotel with friendly staff; amenities include breakfast (20 dollars per person), a bar, billiards, a shop, a gym, two swimming pools, and designated smoking areas. Free shuttle service to Universal Studios and housekeeping are also provided. Overall, I recommend it.
