It was a nice place. But upon staying there, I had never stayed at a hotel where you had to pay to park while staying at the hotel. I've since heard that can be common in bigger cities, but I did not see that listed on the website and have never had to do that when staying at other Double Tree locations. So take that into consideration when budgeting your trip. It was $38 per day. The room was nice enough, and the grounds were also nice. Some of the amenities inside were only available on what the front counter said were, "busy days" which I think meant Fri-Sun. The area was nice, and close to a lot of attractions and conference centers (we were there to attend Premiere Orlando, and drove right around 5 minutes to get there). Oh, and because we were there for an event that was taking place at a different conference center, we had no idea there was an event at the hotel that weekend. Check to see if an event is taking place during the duration of your stay. It made the parking situation TERRIBLE. We're paying $38 a day, and IF you find a parking spot, it was on the other side of the complex. Thankfully after the event (Spooky Empire) left, parking was no issue. But those first 3 days were rough.

This outdated hotel and activity areas were very disappointing. I have never stayed at a Double Tree and had any negative experience, everytime it has been amazing and great, clean and welcoming. This hotel however was the exact opposite and I would never stay here again. Between the horribly old and outdated rooms with a loud AC unit, bathroom toilet that refused to flush fully, and the lack of elevator was baffling. The room was clean, and I am able to use the stairs, so when the lobby attendant asked if the stair were a problem I stated it wasn't. However, I cant imagine how disappointing it would be for people who book online during the busy season, and turn down the 30$ upcharge to stay in the tower, to arrive late and find they have to stay in a 1980s hotel room with no elevator access. I would have gladly paid the $30 had it of know it would almost completely change my experience. But the amenities list, is a lie you should not be telling people. The table hockey was broke, there was trash and leaves all over the putt putt course, nothing was clean or up to date but the pools. I was baffled as I picked Double Tree over other local hotels so my family could use these awesome amenities during our stay. We did a walk through and realized we would rather leave early the next morning, than stay and try to use any of the equipment or games. The only reason I am giving two stars, is because the front desk attendants I dealt with, were very nice, the lobby looked great, and the room had fresh sheets. If I hadn't got this room at a discount for being a veteran, and had paid more than $150, I would have refused to stay in the room and would have taken my family somewhere else. On top of the ridiculous almost $40 parking charge, I still paid almost $200 for a motel 6 quality experience. So in the future for those looking to book, pay the upcharge to stay in the tower, and ignore the list of things and know this place has a pool and free cookies. If I hadnt been able to adjust my dates to the best price point, I would have paid over $300 for this same exact room a few days prior, and this review would have been zero stars for that price point.

This place turned into a 2.5 hotel.The taxes, resort fees and parking fees will double your original rate. Straight ripoff from a place I once favored. This will be the last time. We had a bad leaking sink. And the faucet handle broke off. Place has great potential, but has definitely gone down. No upgrades. New Parking fees $38 a night. Good luck!! BETTER OFF STAYING SOMEWHERE ELSE.

From the moment we checked in our experience has been ABOVE & BEYOND from every staff member, AND from the hotel, the rooms, & grounds as well!!! Everything is completely spotless & the beds are very comfortable! Matt checked us in & was SO accommodating, helpful, & kind!! The $9 upgrade when we reserved to have breakfast in the on site restaurant (Laguna) every morning is ABSOLUTELY WORTH it! The food is fantastic & goes WAY BEYOND the typical hotel breakfast!! There's SO MANY HOT/FRESH & UNIQUE food options avail in addition to the normal breakfast foods buffet; from salmon w/capers, cheeses & meats, to fresh fruit, omelet bar, plantains, roasted tomatoes topped with cheese & excellent seasoning, beans & rice, even beautiful breakfast burritos!! The service is always friendly & fast! We were always in & out QUICK and that helped with getting to the theme parks! We dined there for dinner one evening & the food AND service FAR SURPASSED our expectations!! Victoria was our server & SO sweet & really on it with keeping our water filled!! Pool area is awesome & the bartender was really quick & friendly! We will DEFINITELY BE BACK the next time we stay in the area!!

At the time of booking, the images and description prominently displayed a high-rise hotel, which significantly influenced my decision. However, upon arrival, I was assigned a room in what appears to be an external or lower-tier building that does not match the expectations set during the reservation process. Despite this, I was charged a premium rate, which I find highly misleading and unacceptable. Additionally, the listing mentioned that parking is available, but it did not clearly disclose the $38 parking fee upfront. This cost was only visible in the detailed view, which is not transparent for customers making booking decisions. The electric vehicle charging stations are not functional, despite being indicated as an available amenity. The room conditions are below acceptable standards — it is both dirty and has a noticeable unpleasant odor. There is a serious maintenance issue, with the AC unit leaking water across the room. The overall cleanliness and upkeep of the room are highly unsatisfactory. I also observed inconsistency in your sustainability claims. The hotel states that it avoids using plastic coffee stirrers, yet the lobby coffee shop has them available in abundance. This contradiction undermines your stated commitments. I had originally booked this stay for 4 days and 3 nights, but given the multiple issues outlined above, I am completely dissatisfied with the experience.
