Great location! Awesome food! Hot showers! Comfy beds! Rooms are a bit dated. My only disappointment was not being able to get in contact with front desk at no time during my stay. Even though we did stay during a very busy time, my expectations are that someone would be available. Great stay overall!

We had a wonderful dining experience at Laguna Restaurant & Bar, and a big part of that was thanks to German, our server. From the moment we arrived, he was warm, friendly, attentive, and incredibly professional. He made us feel welcome, checked on us regularly without being intrusive, and gave us excellent recommendations. His outstanding service truly made our meal even more enjoyable. It’s rare to find someone who is so dedicated to providing such a great guest experience. We hope to be served by German again the next time we visit the DoubleTree by Hilton. Highly recommended!

It was a nice place. But upon staying there, I had never stayed at a hotel where you had to pay to park while staying at the hotel. I've since heard that can be common in bigger cities, but I did not see that listed on the website and have never had to do that when staying at other Double Tree locations. So take that into consideration when budgeting your trip. It was $38 per day. The room was nice enough, and the grounds were also nice. Some of the amenities inside were only available on what the front counter said were, "busy days" which I think meant Fri-Sun. The area was nice, and close to a lot of attractions and conference centers (we were there to attend Premiere Orlando, and drove right around 5 minutes to get there). Oh, and because we were there for an event that was taking place at a different conference center, we had no idea there was an event at the hotel that weekend. Check to see if an event is taking place during the duration of your stay. It made the parking situation TERRIBLE. We're paying $38 a day, and IF you find a parking spot, it was on the other side of the complex. Thankfully after the event (Spooky Empire) left, parking was no issue. But those first 3 days were rough.

Our boys volleyball team stayed at the DoubleTree from July 2–7 for the AAU Boys National Volleyball Tournament. The hotel was one of the preferred AAU options, and overall the property itself was very good. The location was convenient, the grounds and amenities were above average, the rooms were clean, and the dining, parking, and front‑desk staff were all solid. Under normal circumstances, this would have been an easy 4–5 star stay. Unfortunately, a significant issue occurred at the main pool on July 4th that overshadowed an otherwise positive experience. Our group of ten boys was playing with a volleyball in the pool during the hotel’s own July 4th celebration, which included games, a great DJ, and activities like a water balloon toss and team water race. A third‑party security guard (not hotel staff) aggressively intervened and refused to allow the boys to play, despite there being no posted rules prohibiting a ball in the pool. Other guests even began chanting “let them play,” but the guard continued to escalate the situation. We asked multiple times for the pool rules, but none could be produced. A member of our group spoke with the manager on duty, who confirmed that our boys could continue playing. Even with that approval, the security guard persisted, citing a single departing guest who complained about our group. The guard’s behavior ultimately made our group feel unwelcome at the very hotel hosting the event we were there for which was extremely disappointing. It’s unfortunate that one overzealous third‑party security guard was able to negatively impact the experience of a large group of paying guests—especially during a holiday event and a national tournament where the hotel was filled with boys’ volleyball teams from all across the country. The hotel itself was above average, but the handling of this incident left a lasting negative impression on all members of our group and we will never stay at this property again.

This place turned into a 2.5 hotel. The taxes, resort fees and parking fees will double your original rate. Straight ripoff from a place I once favored. This will be the last time. We had a bad leaking sink. And the faucet handle broke off. Place has great potential, but has definitely gone down. No upgrades. New Parking fees $38 a night. Good luck!! BETTER OFF STAYING SOMEWHERE ELSE.
