Lovely hotel and room. Nicely spaced out and quiet. Good choice of pools. Reception staff lovely. Downside for us was the food. We only ate in the snack bar and main buffet restaurant but found both a bit lacking compared to previous 4* AI hotels we have stayed in. Food lacked imagination and flavour. We also found it hard to make a meal on our plates with the options available and ended up with very random meals. We also thought the meat available appeared to cheap cuts. I enjoy salads with my meals and found the salad bar was not replenished and when items ran out, they were not replaced. Some of the bar staff were also quite short and rude, however the young girl working on the Tropic bar was a delight and so pleasant and chatty. Overall we had a lovely holiday but wouldn't return as the food was too bland.

I was looking forward to some winter sun, blue skies and time to relax and refresh to start the new year. Upon arrival at Alua Suites the staff member who checked us in proudly told us that the hotel was full to capacity due to the lead up to New Year. We booked the My Favourite Club (MFC) adults only part of the hotel and were expecting a luxury all inclusive experience. This wasn't to be. The room was clean but basic and in need of an upgrade re décor etc. The pool area was relaxing and quiet which was welcome. The food at the restaurants were basic; we had two good dinners onsite at the a la carte restaurant. Thankfully the other nights we went into town where we had a choice of good cuisines. There was no iron/ironing board in the bedroom; the most annoying part was being told by Reception they didn't know when we would be able to get an iron as they came from an external company. That we would need to collect it ourselves and take it back ourselves..... It arrived 2 days after we requested it; Lavisha at Reception was helpful but her hands were tied in these circumstances. To conclude, this hotel falls short of what I expect of the Hyatt Brand. The customer services around the hotel is poor, old plastering falling off the front of some buildings. I've also never stayed somewhere where the food was so bad it was the small talk topic amongst all guests. This is not a place I'd recommend, we won't be returning either.

Just got back, we had a fantastic few days here. Staff all friendly. Rooms were very spacious and clean. The gardens were immaculate. Pools all tidy. only one warm pool though, rest absolutely freezing. Food was good, lots of choice. Entertainment was brilliant, the singers were all great, but our most fun night was the karaoke night, the guy hosting it was hillarious. We will definitely be returning.

Well it's our second visit. Has all the features you would expect. Several pools somew quiet some busy with entertainments (well in February). Main restaurant is self service. Generally good but their can be queuing if hit at peak times and can be noisy. There is also a nice lunchtime cafe by a pool which we liked. Burgers and paella. Free Beer is San Miguel. House red wine is okay, seems better from the bars than the restaurant. Range of coffees etc from machines but fair quality, including decaf options. Cannot comment on cocktails etc as did not have any. Parking for hire car was ok. Room service good. Room also nice but had a couple of broken items which were fixed when raised. Generally pleased. Location is nice. 5 min walk from local beach and we love the coastal walk to the town.

Great Rooms. Stroll into town. Very friendly staff. Pool bar opens 10.30. Food here is exceptional. Start with breakfast. Richmond Irish Sausages with Hp sauce amongst a whole lot more. Lunch the best Chips ever with lots of freshly cooked meats and plenty of salads. Pool bar Super Hamburgers and Hotdogs. Dinner is a daily theme so Spanish or Barbecue amongst others. Good entertainment all day. Beer is San miguel and the Sangria is great.
