Aria Resort and Casino

Went with my friend for a girls trip on MDW. The Aria is in a great location on the strip with access to the free tram and it's easy to get cabs/ubers anywhere. The casino is huge and has a lot of slots and table games. Lots of food and drink options, so you don't really need to leave the hotel. The pool(s) are also really great. It's easy to get a lounger, there are plenty (not necessarily in the shade though), but not many umbrellas. Pool opens at 9:00 AM and you have to be there as soon as it opens if you want an ideal spot [for free]. You can pay for a cabana or special seating, but it's not necessary. I could see if you have a big group and want a guaranteed spot together, it could be worth it. Plenty of wait staff walking around taking food and drink orders by the pool or you can scan a QR code attached to your lounge chair to order. I only went to the gym one day during our stay, and it was crowded but I was still able to get in a good workout. The gym was very clean and the equipment all appeared new and in good, working condition. On checking in at the gym (just swipe your room key), the staff gives you a bottled water and a towel. The main areas of the hotel were all clean and beautiful. The rooms seem to be hit or miss (supposedly they're renovated or being renovated). Our room did have a great view of The Strip and we enjoyed having the window shades open most of the time. We unfortunately did have a few issues on arrival, and had to move rooms, but the staff responded well, moving us without issue and issuing us a credit.

Recently stayed at the Aria hotel. The Aria was one of the nicest hotels that I had ever stayed at a couple of years ago. Prior to the Aria I favored the Venetian. I am a consumer that really can appreciate a beautiful room, no contact, and figuring things out myself. However, if you give me a room that is not esthetically pleasing I am going to reach out. During my stay last month my room was like a cat-a-corner room, that was ok. The key card cover on the door to the room was missing, no problem. The privacy light did not work cool. We opted for no maid service but kept getting knocks on the door - done. When we proceeded into the room to open the curtains they didn’t open we had to play with it. When we put our luggage in the luggage rack it fell because the wood leg was cracked already. Contacted front desk spoke with Celeste to report the luggage rack and not liking the room it self just due to the set-up. She advised that someone would reach out the following day (the call never came)I’m not reminding you to tend to your customers and I’m not at work. I ended up calling regarding the curtains. While maintenance was there I reported the glass i almost stepped on in the middle of the night going to bathroom, housekeeping came and vacuumed. Just a note that she said that she could see glass remnants when she opened the door to our room. We kept our shoes on even in the shower to keep from having a cut. Maintenance mentioned that possibly someone broke one of the glasses in the bathroom and missed getting all the glass. We then had runny noses as well and thought it was allergies although there is no humidity not a lot of plants around either. While retrieving an item from my luggage I found the reason for the runny noses the ventilation cover was full of visible dust. I’ll include pics of my room. Wasn’t the best stay definitely felt devalued as a guest as I don’t reach out unless something isn’t right. I even used the digital key system to get access to my room. But I have to say definitely dissatisfied for $700+ stay.

We booked a Mountain View room but some rude young lady at the reception gave us a building view with no mountain. Later on we asked for a Mountain View and got the room we wanted by a very nice lady at reception. The rooms are clean and the house keeping people are very nice people. The rooms are high quality and amazing bathrooms and comfortable beds. Definitely would come again!

Absolutely loved staying here! This place is beautiful and has a wonderful smell, almost like cotton candy. All the staff that we interacted with was extremely nice. The room and bathroom was spacious. We had a spectacular view of the strip. The only downside is that the room did not have a microwave or refrigerator. But other than that, we really enjoyed staying here and would most likely stay here again in the future.

So...... This review is specifically for one room that we stayed in for two nights and the only time we've stayed at Aria. First off, Casino is very happening and nice. The property has plenty of amenities to offer and is great. It is a bit back off the strip but you can access Park MGM directly from there to prevent walking outside on hot days and Tram to Bellagio if needed, so not bad, just a little extra walking to strip proper. Now for the motel stay. Pro-tip: if you're driving and self parking, drop your luggage off near valet at front by check in and go park because the way they laid this out is designed horribly, and parking is extremely far from where you actually check in and the elevators to go up to your room is in between the two, so that was odd. Now for our disappointment. We are long time MGM rewards members and have been staying at properties for approximately 12years now. First 6 years we stayed at Luxor because we were Vegas noobs and always enjoyed it, the last 6 years we have stayed at the Bellagio which we absolutely love. The room we got here was a King Deluxe with partial strip view and it was worse than any Luxor room we have ever stayed in. Unsure if this was an anomaly, bad luck or just the way the Aria is but...... Im allergic to everything including dust. The headboards were caked in dust, dandruff and hair, it was disgusting to us. The room was mainly dusted except it appeared in multiple spots they missed dusting for months. It was pretty gnarly. The mattress cover had red stains on it, unsure what that was. The bathroom floor was covered in dried sticky spots which who knows what that was and worst was the toilet seat had feces on it. Looks like they forgot to clean bathroom for a while. Also light in bathroom was dangling off wall. This is one of the more disappointing places we have ever stayed 😕. We always wipe down things, but this took us 1.5hrs to clean to feel slightly comfortable. We also asked for another sheet to cover head board. We went to front desk to complain after spending a lot of time cleaning and was told by front desk our second night would be complementary to make up for it with some food credit. That seemed more than fair because they 1st offered us food credit but we weren't sure we would eat at MGM property's the 2 days we were there since we had other plans, so they offered room compensation. However at checkout, food credit was applied but no notes for room complement and that was akward. The checkout person kept telling us they cant comp rooms so they gave us resort fees waved instead. We were lied to our faces. Between cleaning room and front desk talks 2 different times we spent probably 2.5hrs of time to just be lied to our face. I do not recommend this place. Front desk and rooms made it so we will never stay again. Again, Casino is cool, room we got: horrid.
